Logging in my 22nd hour.

I finally can lift my nailed leg off the floor.

I, also, can get through 10 pelvic rotations. I never thought I would get there. It was a Callan dream. And now....do I add more? Is that too enthusiastic??

Benjamin--I'm curious, how often do you do Callanetics? Do you do any other exercise? Your results are amazing.

Lisa, hope ya feel better with a good night's rest. You have a winning attitude.
Thanks, Tywla. I wonder how different this is from the one that I have? We'll see how I can stand the fuzzy pic from the old video that is a copied version someone gave to me in 1988.

Hi everybody. Thank you for answering my questions last week. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get back here.

callaneticsteacher-- My concern is not my ability to finish the exercise. I am not in poor shape. My concern is time. I just simply cannot give an hour in a day to exercise.

The countdown is intriguing. However, do I understand that I cannot get this from a dvd? I think that a dvd is essential for me. I need to see the exercise to do it, and I need the motivation of someone telling me what to do.

Can I get the exercises for this on any dvd and then do my own program?

So... where does this leave me? Buy the am/pm dvd?

Thank you!

I do a full Callanetics routine about twice a week. I am vey proud of my butt and legs. My stomach still needs a lot of work though. I think the key to why my butt looks good is the fact that I do Callanetics everywhere. When I'm bored at work you will find me doing exercises. I don't do the ones sitting on the floor but I do the standing hips and behind exercise from Super callanetics. I do them constantly in the office. Noboy even realises. Sometimes I will go to the bathroom and do the leg exercises from CallaneticsEvolution. I wish I could the stomach exercises in the office as that's what I need to work on, but people would think i was crazy if I started lying down on the floor!

The more you can incorporate Callanetics into your life the more it will work for you. There are so many exercises you can do without people even noticing. It's great.

You can try the Quick Callanetics DVDs. They are great!

Are you really physically active & fit? In the postings I've read from the longtimers like Twyla, Noreen & Ben-they still feel the burn from working certain areas hard. Is your form correct?

lisabinil - Congratulations on making 10 hours!

Snuckles - I'm not really a model, I just got play one for a day

I had to work really late and I'm going early today, so I didn't get my 10/10 in yesterday. I did Turbo Jam this morning and will do 10/10 tonight.

Marsha- I agree with you that it was good for cramps and back pain during TOM!

So I am down to 158.5lbs today. Had no chance to log my 10th hour yet as I went to meet the cast of "Army Wives" which was awesome! I do love being on post sometimes
I have my spa day today and plan to do callan tonight. I have a really busy week and then we should be moving to Ft. Drum next month...geeesh!
I do love moving though!
My trip to Florida seems right around the corner and I wanted to weigh 150lb for it and be toned up too.....looks like both will happen

I hope everyone has a great day today! Gotta go get ready for relaxation!!!

Lisabinil - congrats on your weight lost update! You're getting within spitting distance of your weight lost goal! WTG!

FreeingMyself - congrats on logging your 10th hour. I feel that 10 hours is a milestone especially when doing the 10/10.

So I drove out to have a private session with Callanetics teacher Bev Shaw...and btw they are recruiting for new teachers down here, so if anybody's dreaming of teaching Callan in central Cape Town, now's your chance...

A lot of the exercises were ones that were new or modified enough that they felt new. I told her that my abs needed extra work and uh she worked me! I also asked about the standing leg work a la Cardio Cal--she said that it's not uncommon for this to hurt, that the supportive leg is actually doing a lot, and she gave me a lying-down modification.

The best part was the side stretch that you normally do at the start of 10/10--I have always found this to be really hard--she moved my arm forward and had me rest on the barre (instead of hip) and it was an entirely new stretch! All of a sudden I felt like space opened up between each rib--a real 'a ha' moment. Next time I would like to have her go through the 10/10 routine with me exercise by exercise, since for sure I'll still be doing the dvd. My back feels great 6 hours later!

She told me she lost some incredible amount of weight...I think 30 kilos..in 10 months from Callan 3X week without any other efforts.

I know where Fort Drum is! We stop there on the way down to Verona to see Toby Keith!! It's a really small town! Good thing the Turning Stone Casnio is not that far away!

How often does every do Callanetics? I work out 5days a week doing turbo jam/The firm. I want to fit this in somehow because I want to loose inches on my lower half. I guess I should start of with 10/10?? Does anyone who doesnt do them so often still get results? How often do you see results? Thanks

Hey ThyckeCutie, I love your AVI!!! I'm doing Callanetics 3 times a week but I've heard that even doing them 2 times a week will give you results. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on Callanetics will chime in.

Are you doing Turbo Jam with the gloves? I'm thinking of picking up some gloves today.

^^^ Thanks!! Yes I have the gloves. I tried it once on Cardio Party and only made it half thru with the gloves so I took them off. I didnt know 1lb would make such a difference but it does. My arms hurt already at the end of the workout w/o the gloves so using them really makes the workout more challenging
