Woohooo Shimmer!

Mystic, start slow. Do this, get dressed for your walk, bring your water and music.
Tell yourself you'll walk a certain amount of time (say 20 minutes) but if you feel like stopping after the 20 minutes that's fine.
Increase the time until it's no longer a chore.

I tell myself I *must* walk at least 40 minutes before I'm allowed to stop.
Because I have been training since January I now challenge myself to at least 3 miles, today I did 4 in an hour and 8 minutes.

Small steps and you'll get there.

peeps!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Tigerr
Hopefully I'll get back on track tomorrow morning. With me its also a time management issue this time of year because I have so much to get done before it gets cold.
But really...I think walking would be the best thing for it all ..just to keep my head clear

I'm #1!!!!!!
My supervisor is 4th.

I've been home with a cold, now wheezing, for a few days so I don't know if I won something.

Awesome amount of steps!

I was at 13k yesterday but that was with a 2.6 mile walk.

No walk for me today, I'm having some minor wheezing going on.
Back on track tomorrow and a 3 hour walk on Saturday....that should be around 10-12 miles.
10 more days before my half Marathon.

Wow to all the walkers.

I walked 10.5 miles on Saturday in the most lovely place out there.

It was a bit of a drive for me and meant getting up at 5am. But so worth it!

Went to the Renaissance Faire yesterday (what is it with me and driving far?)
and walked around.

No walking today as I'm tapering (cutting down on walking) before Sunday.
I'll walk 40 minutes tomorrow, 30 Wednesday and Thursday and lot of stretching on Friday.
Then Saturday is the Expo and Sunday my half marathon.

Rain forecasted for this week, haven't walked in rain much so I'm a bit worried.

12,000 steps today. We're leaving for the weekend so probably won't post again until Sunday night--but I'll have my pedometer on and will be keeping track of my steps!

tiggerr, good luck on your half-marathon!

I finished my half marathon yesterday and it was tough at mile 8.5-10 but after that it went a lot smoother.
I'm updating my blog, will post when it's done!

Keep walking!!!

Hi, all!

I love to walk and hike, .

I'm just getting back in shape after two years of daily pain and not able to walk very well.

I had spinal surgery may 30, 2007 several plates and 8 screws later, I'm walking again. Took a little hike round some woods yesterday, paying for that today. I need to slow it down and get a little more sure footed.

I'm out of shape after months of being homebound but I'm working on that. I just wanted to say HELLO! and I love to walk too..
