Stability Ball workout and weight loss?
Hi everyone. Has anyone used a stability ball and lost some weight? I'd like to hear from anyone that has and in what time frame? It looks like that might be good for me while my heel spur is bothering me. Thanks for any info!

wt loss or more importantly, fat loss is a factor of diet. The swiss ball is a tool. What do you plan to do with it?

I'd like to find a good workout tape and probably use weights while I'm on the ball. Maybe change it up every other day. Do you think that is a good idea? Thanks for your input.

From what I have seen, it looks like Turbo Jam has a pretty good ball workout. I believe for 2 payments of $19.95 you can get the ball, and 2 workouts: Kickin' Core and Total Body Blast.
Turbo Jam Get on the Ball Fitness, Nutrition, Diet, Weight Loss Official Site I think I'm going to get that eventually. I just love everything Turbo Jam. Then again, I don't know if that's the sort of thing you're looking for, or if you wanted more floor work. But you get a cardio effect from those workouts. The advantage of using the stability ball is that you have to stabilize your core muscles while lifting weights, so you actually work more muscles during the exercise than you would if you just sit on a bench or do the exercise while standing. For core work the stability ball is great because it supports the lower back.

Update on Stability Ball Workouts
Hi everyone. Well, I went out and bought a DVD on the ball workouts and boy did it provide a good workout. I felt every muscle working. The DVD was by Denise Austin. I need to look around, or order off of the internet. I think Best Buy has the best selection. But anyways, it was a good one. I think I will get the turbo jam one. I like those workouts. Let's see how my stats look next week, after a week of working out on the ball. Thanks again for all the advice!!

Good for you, Deanna! I agree that Best Buy has a good selection, but if you have a Ross Store in your area, they have a lot of workout videos too.

JuliaL, by the way, how do you get more than 1 photo in your gallery, like you have? I am not that good with the computer, but I am trying to learn how to put more than 1 photo and to make them smaller. I appreciate your answers. Thanks a bunch !!
