CoNgRaTs on starting week seven! TWENTY FIVE MINUTES?! WOW!

Doesn't that feel INCREDIBLE to know you can run that long, when a few short weeks ago, you were dying at 5 minutes?

Week 3 workout 1 done. I'm feeling under the weather and almost didn't do it, but I'm glad I did. My next C25K run should be Wednesday. Hopefully I'll be feeling better then.

WTG everyone!!!! We're doing it.

Thanks Suna. You're doing great too.

My runs are M,W, and Sat. I also do incline walking on Mondays and Wednesdays. I do the C25K routine in the morning, and I meet a friend at the gym at night to do the high incline walking. I have weight training T, Th, and Sunday. Once I start Tae Kwon Do in a few weeks I'll have to reduce some of my workouts since the Tae Kwon Do is very intense.

Okay I went tonight. I didn't ever do week 3 day 3 last week and then kind of took a week off with my best friend being in town. I got really upset/depressed over something....*sigh* and just went jogging to take my mind off of it.

I did week 3 day one. jogged 3 minutes 15 seconds, walked 90 seconds, jogged 5 minutes 15 seconds, walked 2.5 minutes, jogged 3.5 minutes, walked 60 seconds, jogged 7.5 minutes.

I know that was more than I was suppose to but 1) I was doing it in the dark and had to use my mp3 player to see my watch and 2) I could have kept going but I stopped.

God, I can't believe my 268 lb big butt can run that much.

I think so. I think the running is melting down the outer layers and the hottie is emerging! (like a butterfly!!)

(dang.. now I want to go out and run!! - got 3 more days of no exercise, though).

it's funny, in a way, doing this program is making me feel better about myself. I think that is because the path is clearly defined, and you feel a sense of accomplishment every time you get thru one day. It is one day closer to the goal.

And.. you can feel the changes in your body in that you can last a little longer every week. and if you feel like you can move on... you just repeat the week, until you can.

I think with dieting, sometimes you can do all the work, and not see any results. but with this, you almost always feel changes every week.

so.. it is making us feel better about ourselves. imo. We are feeling faster/stronger every week. and feeling a better part of ourselves, a potential that was always there, but that we didn't realize we had, emerge.

I'm honestly amazed at how well I can jog now. I can jog now better than I could in highschool OR college. Go figure!

I'm not afraid of next week now! In fact...as crazy as this sounds, it was almost more of a bother to stop and start than it would have been to just keep going. Only caviot to that is that my heart rate got up to the 160s... but I FELT fine, i could breath fine. I almost wonder if the stop/start is better for fat loss because I've been told that you burn fat better at lower heart rates. I dont much get that but hey.

Week 3 workout 2 done. It was a little easier for me today then Monday. After that I did four rounds of HIIT. I walked for 1 minute and sprinted (8 mph) for 30 seconds. I did that 4 times. I finished up with 15 minutes of walking to cool down and relax. My next C25K workout will be Saturday.

Week 7, Day 2 is done! Today's 25 minute run was easier than Monday, when I still had some shin splints from the weekend. I was able to speed up a bit, altho I'm still really slow compared to most people. That's ok, I'm going for endurance now, not speed.

Everyone keep up the good work!

Week 7, Day 3 is done!

25 minutes running, and I was able to pick up the pace a little, meaning I didn't have to slow down as much as I continued on. Still slow compared to many, but that's ok. It's really hot here, and I was drinking more water while I ran. I got a little queasy near the end, maybe I drank too much.

Hey girls Finished week 4 day 2 today. Man feels so good! I'm looking forward to my 20 minute run next week!

So I did jog 3 minutes, walk 90 seconds, jog 5.5 minutes, walk 2 minutes, jog 3 minutes, walk 90 seconds, jog 5.5 minutes

The last minute I ran a lot faster, picked up my pace a lot. I could do it, but it spiked my heart rate up to 169 (my average was like 139). Felt really good though. I like jogging in the morning like that. Was nice! I felt really awake after as well.

Hoping to do day 3 tomorrow night. Then onto week 5 for tuesday!

Hi Everyone,

I would like to join the check-in. I am on the program, currently repeating week 4. I ran today and it took awhile for my body to warm up (it was cooler than usual) but on the last part, where you jog 5 minutes, I got on a roll and decide to add on one minute, then two... I ended up doing 10 minutes! Now I am looking forward to moving on to week 5. I believe I can do it!!!!

I have received a lot of inspiration from this thread! thanks!

Hey all, I'm still doing Week 4 as I have been for the last three weeks.
I combine that with a program Treadmill Trainer.

I've been averaging about 2.3 miles per run and I'm working to increase distance.

I haven't downloaded the Week 5 podcast but probably will do so in a couple of weeks.. My goal is to be able to do Week 4 at a 5.0 level and higher on the treadmill. Right now I have to drop to 4.7-4.8 to get through the 5 minute runs..

I may just try a day where I run at 4.4-4.5 on the treadmill and see how long I can go...

I'm baaaaaaaaack!!!

I'm Baaaaaaaaacccck!

I did the week2, day3. but.. I'm going to repeat it next week. not doing anything for a week (I had a little procedure where I wasn't supposed to exercise for a week).. I was huffing and puffing that last jog interval.

so, I'm repeating week 2.

boo hoo.. I'm so behind. I see Des and Sunabee waving to me from the horizon.

Hey everyone! I've been MIA. Last week was a mess for me, I do childcare at home and one of my parents lost their job so that means I am no longer watching the little girl, my baby brother got married, my oldest son started first grade so he's gone ALL day for the first time and then my youngest son, the baby, started Kindergarten...add that to the fact that I am PMSing, I have been an emotional wreck
I totally blew off any and all physical activity although I know it probably would have helped me cope better then I did
I did get back to the gym this morning although I didn't run, just fast walking at an incline. I am looking forward to starting back on the Couch to 5K program but since I took the week off I think I will start back and repeat week two.

Today I do day one of week 5. It doesn't impress me. Day one seems boring and makes me want to run farther than 5 minutes as I did that LAST week
