..Yes..it actually Does work!!...

Well I am a VERY leary person when it comes to some of those TV info-mercials regarding exercise gadgets and so on...However last week I was up early just kinda surfing the channels and came upon this program called "Slender Secrets"

Its put out by the same lady who did the breathing one...gosh I can't recall the name right now, but I am sure you all know what I'm talking about...oh yeah...Body Flex!!!!

Anyway she has this new thing thats supposed to be "Motionless exercise" and boasts to only take 7 minutes a day... As in most everything else along these lines, the commercial look good, very promising and I admit really got me curious..Soooooooooo... knowing tha I could easily send it back and taking advantage of the 2 flex pay plan ( $19.99 each)....

I caved and ordered it, even opted for the rush delivery...It arrived and after reading the info and viewing the dvd..I half hearted gave it a try..as it really looked kinda easy and yes a tad silly...

Well I did it for 2 days now and let me tell ya...I am so back to ...eat my words...as that program actually .. WORKS!! I am So sore and could really honestly feel it in my arms and behind and legs!!!!!!!!!

I got my DD and DS to try it aw well, as they thought it was silly..well my almost 16 year old, 6"foot 3, 190 pound DS.... after the very first try,..said..."mom this stuff ain't playing around" My DD kept saying.."mom when will it be ..OVER?,

I am going to continue using this and also keep my normal daily walks and my WATP dvd's,,,,,,You have to try this!! trust me as i am one of the biggest .."Yeah -Right" folks you will encounter,...but now I am a convert, at least when it came to this...

My motto.. for most everything,...is
'I don't always have to "Like it", ...All i have to do is..."DO IT"!!

Just for the skeptics ( like I was )...I'm back to update....

I was able to put on a pair of boot cut jeans that are TWO sizes smaller than I was wearing only 3 weeks ago!! They are the SAME brand, same cut, matter of fact even got em from the same store, LOL...and altho kinda snug,..I was able to get em on with ease!! I clearly am losing major inches!!

I am seeing improvement over-all, but most certainly Major results in my thys!! ( and behind) My DD has this tall full length mirror in her room and as silly as this sounds, every morning ( and any other chance i get,LOL) I strip to my undies,..stand there and admire my thys!! They are way more firmer and yup more lean, long and shapely looking!!

Now, have I lost actual "pounds" from using this program?,.. , Answer is "NO"., I'm still around the same weight...but that is 100% reflective on ME!!, cause I have been eating way way off plan ( ANY plan..ugh!)

One thing i do want to mention, Kinda an Odd thing for me, was after using SS for say the first few days,..my hunger increased,..I was starving, but that soon declined, altho I have not yet gotten myself back to Low carbing as I should.....Until Today that is!! , as i am going to get my act in gear and see what the combination of SS and LC will do!! After-all I now know that I have nothing to lose..but Pounds and more inches!!
I can honestly say...SS delivers as promised...

harleymoma,..

I had those breathing tapes too and ended up just giving mine away!! I just could not get the hang of the whole breathing thing, plus she looked really silly,. however oddly enough the friend to whom I actually gave those tapes to...Loved em and said she lost pounds and inches.. ...so go figure....

Anyway the new program has NOTHING to do with breathing!!..Its all a form of working one muscle against another....I honestly did NOT think it would work, but ...I come forth to say,..that I was wrong, and I guess to "Eat my words".. ....cause it Works!!

igirl...

I will try and explain it as clear as possible...Ok, have ya ever watched any of those "Body building" contests? Well its kinda like when those body building contestants do a "pose down" ...right before the winner is chosen...

well some of the moves are like that. You stand there, say with the arms,..you kinda flex in certain positions and hold for 25 seconds,..release,,then repeat...doing 4 sets each. Same with your AB's..and tricepts,...and behind......You position and hold,..release..and repeat!!

There is even a 50 second hold for the face....Let me tell ya after only doing 1/2 the flexes and holds...i am sweating, LOL....
Why not try it? Just stand there and flex your arms tightly as if to do a bicept curl and hold tightly to a 25 second timing.... then try it with you AB's...It WORKS!!!

Sounds very similar to Bar Method, Lotte Berk and Callanetics ...

Yes...only 7 minutes!!.....

After you do them ( Correctly that is!!) for the first time,..you will understand "Why" 7 minutes is quite enough, LOL, LOL...

Today I talked to a friend of mine who is an ex-Boxer and now runs a gym, doing personal training etc...And I showed him some of the moves, explaining the reasons behind em...and even he said that the whole holding and flexing, relax, repeat etc...is most effective in training certain muscles. I also asked him if it was true ( as stated in the SS plan) that firming your behind ...helps strengthen and firm up the rest of your lower body? and he said without a doubt..."yes!! This weekend I am going to lend him my SS dvd so he can watch it and give me a more fully assessment....

Is it much different from bodyflex? A neighbor just gave me her bodyflex kit and I am wondering if it is worth my time.

lbecker28...,.....no, it is nothing at all like body flex!! As I stated earlier, I once had that tape and found it kinda silly and way odd in trying to follow what I was seeing. Body flex is mainly about the breathing ( and positioning) . There are some who swear by BF, so I won't dare knock it, as you may be one of those who love it too..
SS has very little at all to do with breathing, as its all about positioning, tensing, and the flexing of certain muscles....

pjsmom...I hope you enjoy SS and see good results like I am!! Please give it some time, say a week or so and then do come back and share your opinion..ok? best wishes

this looks really interesting....and you had results without using her diet plan or anything??

i have body flex and i like it and i really believe it worked for me while i was doing it....but alas, i stopped. what exactly are the seven secrets? are they different from the actual seven minute exercises?

there was a bit of that in body flex too...where you place your fingers against each other and push really hard. i remember my triceps were on fire after a few days of that! LOL

Ok, I'm back to update....

7 secrets ( in no particular order )

Write out your intended goals & measure yourself. Know your daily calorie burn, active/non active. Eat high volume foods. Drink plenty of H2O, Move More!! ( simple walking and other tips like parking further away when out shopping , take the stairs instead of escalator etc.), Don't keep tempting or Junk foods on hand, Get a buddy ( someone whom you can rely on to help ya stay motivated etc) ,,,
Oh and one more that I came up with myself...."Surround your self with "Like minded" people!!" Not just those that "Are" doing it, but even the "Wanna-bee's cause at least they are trying!! ( by the way, I was a wanna-bee for a Long time was once 330+!!)
In other words, stay clear of The "nay-sayers", ya know those that say "it can't be done, Your gonna kill yourself eating like that and so on. The Woes-me-ers, ya know those that belly-ache on and on to ya about being too fat, yada, yada but yet "Won't" do anything at all about it.." The "Waiter's", those just waiting around for that moment of motivation to come over em, but in the mean time are full of excuses,...while expending so much energy, closely watching Your progress..(or lack there of,)..sadly even sometimes out of envy....

best wishes..oh and ps: I weighed this morning and am down 4.5 pounds , !!! Now at 197.4!! I've thankfully Been back on track / LC for almost a week.. so can't say its totally due to SS....

Ok, I took the plunge and ordered it. But I'm cheap so I only got the standard 2 week shipping. I hope it gets here a little quicker than that. I'm excited to try it out.

I'd like to try SS out, but it seems rather expensive. On the official site, it is selling for $42.97 with $12.95 shipping cost.

Is there some place to get this a bit less expensive, as I've heard about good results from others on another forum, also.

Any help is appreciated.

sazzie....

let me look into that and get back with ya..ok..

Also perhaps you can do what another friend from the board did.....She got together with another member here and they split the cost ( of course they are living in the same town ..which helped!!) Anyway....they now each have a copy and enjoying it greatly!! I hope "She" pops in and post because she's gone down 4 inches in her hips alone in a short amount of time!!
