Bringing Shapely Secrets to the front page again. My daughter and I started yesterday. For 2 days in a row, we did the pool thing and SS. Feel the burn for sure, but it feels good since I've been so out of mobility for so long!!!
We'll keep you posted week by week, starting next Wednesday, June 18th. |

Hello everyone!
![]() After reading through this thread I started SS on Wed, and have done it every day. I am really enjoying this - I feel stronger already, and it is the perfect complement to my Lifelift breathing. I'm not measuring - I do the jeans test (you know - the "how far can I pull the size 8 jeans up my legs this week" test ), and I will be trying them on tomorrow for the first time. Will report back here weekly - it's good to have a place to be accountable, as it keeps me honest!~dragonlily |

I've done both bodyflex and lifelift, and I prefer lifelift 100%. Not only is it muuuuch gentler than bodyflex, you can use any poses with the breaths. Order her original video - it is a fantastic introduction, and not expensive, plus it has the facelift which I use and love! Let me know if you have any other questions. Her website is so thorough, and if you email her she will always respond. Rashelle is an absolute doll, and available for any help or questions. She really supports those of us who use her program. Once I found lifelift, I never used bodyflex again! Hope this helps. ~dragonlily |

I saw this thread and realized I had the Shapely Secret DVD but never watched it because it came with the BodyFlex w/Gymbar and I've been doing that.
Well I put it in tonight did the 7 minutes and I tell you what, I can hardly walk. I am so wobbly legged and armed like I used to get when I would do resistance training to the max. I cant believe it, so glad ya'll have this thread. I will continue to do BodyFlex and the 7 min muscle against muscle exercises. WOW. |

I've always been told than when you work out muscles they need one day of rest to recover before working them again, so I will do the 7 min wk out every other day, but breathing daily..
My tricepts are especially sore today as are my thighs. |

After reading through the posts here, I'm interested in Shapely Secrets, too! I have some Life Lift tapes (need to get back to those!) and this sounds like something that will work in well with LL.
I have one question--I've read a few mentions of being on your 'tippy toes' with SS. I have both balance issues, plus I broke a heel a few years ago so being on my toes isn't comfortable for very long--and the pain lasts for days afterward, not just a few minutes. Is it really necessary to stand on your toes with this program? Thanks for any help you ladies can give me! |

stand on toes
The shapely secrets is 7 min long. One set of exercises has you on your toes and flexing your buttock and legs all at the same time.. The purpose of the toes is to work your calves. You are leaning or propping on the back of a support (chair) so that helps w/balance.

Molly, I have never even seen it at any of my Walmarts. I feel so left out...
I've never seen it in any sotre around here...Check ebay, I've seen a few times where it could be had at a very decent price, not run up to more than ordering it off the website, like usual... |

I actually got up 10 minutes earlier and did this this morning. It is my second day in a row. I am planning on doing it every morning before work. I feel like a weakling cause i find it tires me out! But, I guess I will only improve with time!

Hi, I just joined this site today and I'm really glad I found y'all!
I have been wondering about Shapley secrets if and how well it works. After reading your posts I got all excited and ran to walmart to pick up a copy. I saw it there not too long ago, but they don't have it anymore!!! I asked someone that worked there and she said they won't be getting anymore. so....I'm gonna check ebay and see if I can find one. Thanks for posting your results everyone, it is really nice to see people getting good results from this. I didn't get it before because it sounded too good to be true. Nice meeting everyone and I have really enjoyed reading your posts. See ya, Sassy |

I did Life Lift workout 1 yesterday followed by 7min workout by Shapely Secrets (greer) and I am so sore today. I had stopped using for awhile but am back at it.
Measure yourself and you will see results in 7 days if you stick to your eating plan. I have not done it without being on a plan so dont know what would happen if you do this and eat whatever. The lady that hosts lifelift says she eats whatever and doing this daily makes that possible but who knows if that would work for everybody? |

The biggest downfall with this program is getting out of the habit and NOT doing it... I have no regrets having bought it, it is VERY EFFECTIVE but the big IF is........if you use it regularly... even every other day works for me but I shoot for daily if I can.

Hi everyone! Due to a family tragedy I have not been here for almost a year. I quit SS in March of 08 when the world fell apart, but got back to it in August. I want to report that I have lost weight, inches and several sizes. WooHoo!!!!!. Just before Christmas I decided to add Body Flex back into the equation to try to speed up my road to slimness. Now I am doing BF in the morning and SS in the evening. Clothes that haven't fit for four years are comfy again!

I'm where you are, gained weight, and am now using lots of things, Shapely Secrets, BodyFlex, etc. to get the inches off and become healthier. I also need to fit into my clothing...eek! Could you tell what you did as far as sizes for inspiration??? Glad to see you! |

Hi Lisa! I started out at a size 20. I am now back into a size 16, almost 14. When everything happened I regained a lot of weight so had to start all over. I try very hard to low carb, but now that we have custody of two children and are living on our retirement income which is "fixed" I cannot always afford to stick strictly to LC like I did before.
I think the inches and weight come off faster with Body Flex. I use SS in the evening after the kids have finished homework and gone to bed. I have to say that after doing the Body Flex first thing in the morning I feel really good! When I first went back to BF it took almost 35 minutes to get through it because I was so out of shape. Now it is taking me about 15 minutes to do the entire BF program. I have also discovered that you can split the BF program into two sessions, doing the first half at one time and the second one later if you are in time crunch and still get the same results. I think you are right we do need a new BF/SS thread! I am cheering for you, Lisa!!!!!! |

Bfuser, excellent to hear from you. You are doing really great...keep it up!!!
Are you able to do all the positions with BodyFlex?? I know what you mean by it being difficult to get back into. The first time a couple of weeks ago I attempted 40 positions/breaths, my stomach/diaphragm went into severe spasm....eek!!! I suppose it might be wise to ease into it. That is great to know that you can split it up and get great results. Do you do like 20 breaths a.m. and 20 breaths p.m. or something?? |
