So I've read this entire thread. Many thanks to all of you who have described the exercises in such detail! I have Bodyflex from many years ago and I'm ashamed to say that I did not even really attempt it. I do know how to do it, however and have combined the bodyflex breathing and the isometric movements of t-tapp. The great thing is, I've only done the exercises twice and I feel phenomenal! Better posture, better strength. Less than 10 minutes yesterday and again this morning. I'm out of town and am having trouble low carbing. Can't wait til I get home and get a chance to combine the two.

I'll keep you all up to date on my progress. Here's to unconventional effective exercise.

Hello all,

Just stopped by to give an update. Been doing basically the abdonda workout with my own isometric contractions. As of this morning my skin is positively glowing and my waist is trimmer. I have more energy and it's easier for me to be active because my body is so strong and capable. I've become so effective at the exercises that I break a sweat shortly into the workout. I believe this is because I'm strong enough to get great contractions. So far, loving the workout. I'm doing a T-tapp inspired bootcamp that calls for me to work the entire body in the manner that I'm working it now every day for 14 days. At the end of that time, I hope to have had dramatic results. If I had a measuring tape I'd love to have measured. I'm out of town on family business and am forced to kind of eat what's available to me so any results I've seen are without dieting. I'll check in after while and give you all further update.

I'm new to this board, but have been reading the posts. I ordered the SS yesterday and looking forward to getting it. I have been doing a lot of research on it over the last few weeks and actually talked to a lady at the airport that was on the Body Flex and lost over 75 pounds and has kept it off. She recently got the SS and has been using it too.

Well, I have been using the Abdonda DVDs now and I have to say that the workout is better than the original or the Advanced. I do break a sweat, and can really feel it after doing them. I have noticed that it trims the waist better and works the abs better.

I wish I bought these first instead of the advanced. I do one a day and rotate through the four DVDs that I have.

I forgot to mention one thing I have changed in doing the face exercise. Instead of doing the face exercise that Greer shows in these I do the lion face exercise from the original Body Flex. I think I am getting better results with that than the version she shows on the SS DVDs.

Hi! Did the lady in the airport, who lost 75 lbs. doing Body Flex, say the weight loss was due to just Body Flex, or did she diet along with the Body flex program? Did she follow Greer's diet plan or another one--like low-carb?

Thanks!

Carol

CRMCDONALD, I am not sure if she was only doing the Body Flex, but I will ask her this weekend. The lady is a co-worker of one of my dear friends and she will be able to let me know. As soon as I find out I will post the answer to that.

BFUSER, do you only use the Abdonda tape or do you use the SS too?

I'm not sure of BFUser's answer. Just wanted to point out that Abdonda is SS with the breathing added in to the beginning of each contraction.

I bought the Advanced SS in The Fall, but didn't start using it daily until December. The results have been so amazing ( I don't diet, but eat basically high carb) that I bought all three Abdonda DVDs. I just got them last week.

I do a different 7 minute workout everyday rotating them. The Advanced SS DVD is part of that rotation. So on day one I do Advanced SS. On day two I do the Abdonda total body workout. On day three I do the Abdonda lower body workout. On day four I do the Abdonda upper body workout. On day five I start all over again with the Advanced SS. In one week my waist has dropped another two inches.

I want to mention that with the added breathing I feel great after each DVD. I don't know why it makes such a big difference, but it does.

Amazing results bfuser! I agree that the breathing gives it an extra something. I'd done SS the first time and bodyflex/SS combo every day since. Yesterday my sister commented that I looked "happy" and was "glowing". This is really something considering my family just lost my father this past week. I decided to begin working out to cope with the stress, grief and high carb eating that naturally comes with family gatherings. Since I'm in a situation where I can't easily eat well until the end of next week, I decided to do this. I already feel amazing and look slimmer. I can't wait to add in the sugar free eating as that also makes me feel great.

Wishing you all continued great results. Oh, and just wanted to add that the dramatic lymph movement that goes with bodyflex breathing has allowed me to clear my lungs and get well after a doozy of a cold that I contracted weekend before last. I truly feel that a combination of isometrics, deep aerobic breathing and solid nutrition is the basis for continued great health and sound fitness into old age. Kudos to us all for trying something unconventional to reach or goals.

Another 1/2 in off my waist this week! Abdonda is great for the stomach and waist! The results I am getting are as good as those I got with the Body Flex program.

Hi, I'm slowly making my way through this thread with interest. I actually saw the info-mercial a couple of months ago, and it looked interesting. (Of course, we never want to admit that we might believe something that is sold on tv. )

I do not understand the tricep exercise from the explanation early in the thread. Can someone either help me understand it better? Or perhaps post photos?

Thanks.

BFUSER: I talked to my girlfriend. She was only reducing her food intake to a reasonable amount and stopped her snacking on junk food. She said she did put a few pounds back on because she stopped doing the tape, but since she started the SS in December 07 she has lost 14 overall inches but not sure about the weight, she doesn't have a working scale right now. She has gone down 2 dress sizes though.

I just wanted to stop in. I have printed off the excercises that you posted. I have been doing the excercises the last 2 nights and they do really work the muscles good. I am going to go to Wal Mart this weekend to see if they have the videos.

After reading this thread off & on over the course of a year or more, I finally bit the bullet and bought the WHOLE shebang and it arrived today! I can hardly wait to get started as I feel it's really going to jump start both my weight loss (although 2 lbs./wk. is pretty darn good, right? lol) and desire to keep losing so I can be at my goal so much sooner. Wouldn't it be great to lose a clothing size in 2 weeks?! I even bought myself a pair of next size down jeans that currently don't fit so I can hopefully fit into them in a couple weeks like they do on the infomercial.

Alrighty, I did it yesterday morning and this morning... can I just say OUCH????!!! Oh my gosh! I could barely move this morning, but I still did the exercises. Thank God it's only 7 minutes long!! LOL Who knew you could feel such a burn like that? Oh, yeah, Greer did! What a Godsend! I can hardly wait to see my new butt in 2 weeks! lol Honestly, though, she is really motivating to me - every time I'm ready to give up, she mentions wanting a firm fanny or whatever and I think, "OH yeah, *that's* why I'm doing this!" and I squeeze tighter.

Someone please tell me the soreness goes away and these get easier to do, right?? LOL Also, is it best to stick with the 1st DVD for a period of time before moving on the the Advanced or the Abdonda workouts? I haven't even put the other DVDs in yet, just the 1st.

Also, who's listened to the CD? Do you find it helpful in any way??

And, Denise, thanks for the encouragement!! I'm definitely going to psot results - when I have 'em!

also, which is more quickly effective, abdonda or advanced? I have done bodyflex, but never ss. Could I understand the principles by starting with the abdonda dvd?

Would anyone be interested in selling one of their abdonda dvds to a broke college student for a reasonable exchange?

I promise, girl81, you don't need it! The abdonda vids are just the bodyflex breathing mixed in. Do the program outlined earlier in this thread (page 2 or 3, I think) and add in the breath. Be for each contraction, start the breath... pah and contract.... hold five seconds.... inhale but continue to contract for 20 seconds while breathing normally. That's one rep. Do four reps per contraction. Again, follow the contractions explained earlier in the thread or choose your own isometric contractions from doing searches on youtube. Lots of great examples there. Whichever you choose, remember to do four reps.

I hope this helps.
