Cong. Gracie on your 6'' lossWhat a great work.

How long did it take you to lose them? Did you lose them in one place or all over the body?

Wow, 6'' loss. I need to lose that amount from the stomach area only.

That 6" was an overall loss, but the majority of it was from the waist. 4" in the waist, 1" in the bust, and 1" in the hips.

ETA: Sorry I can't give you a time table, cause I simply don't remember when I did it last.....just wrote the stats in......I had gotten discouraged, so my record keeping went awry.

Hey Sazzie

I've been reading thru this entire thread since I ordered SS and did my first workout tonight. My husband joined me and we both found it very challenging. Anyway, that's actually not why I'm writing! Way off subject, but my husband and I are from Alaska and our house is up for sale and we're wanting to move to Florida. I noticed you were from there. Do you like it there? .... what are your favorite areas in FL? Any info would be appreciated...! Thank you for reading, because I know this has nothing to do w/ SS or LCing.

Nicole,

We've moved quite a number of times; even lived overseas for a year and moved from Virginia to Florida over 5 years ago, and I can truly say it was the best move we ever made.

We are in the northeastern part of Florida where the heat is not as intense, and I'm glad we made that decision. We even get occasional freezes here, which makes it feel more like home. The only months I find uncomfortable are July and August, but that's true almost anywhere.

We are 1 1/2 hrs. from Orlando, 1/2 hour from Daytona Beach, 3 hrs. from Tampa where my daughter lives, and 45 minutes to St. Augustine, where my son lives.

Any other information you need, just PM me, so the thread doesn't get too hijacked.

I have to get back to SS. Don't understand why I miss doing it every day when I know it works.

Well, I haven't been around for about three weeks. My daughter who teaches elementary art came home with a cold/flu bug of some kind and I went down hard with it.

The good news is that I am finally recovered. The bad news is that all of my gains via SS have been lost since I was too sick to even do a 7 minute work out. I noticed that after about only a week you could see a loss of muscle tone and firming.

Well, I am back to square one with SS again, but know from experience that I will regain my losses very quickly. So here I go again!

It sounds like everyone else is really doing well so keep up the good work. You all inspire me!

Ruth

I have a question for those people that practiced the original BodyFlex.

did the face and neck exercises have any effect? did you notice any difference?

here is one of them on Youtube. (yes.. these are exercises you want to do ALONE ):

The face exercises do work, but like the rest of the BF program and SS they only work as long as you do them consistently.

Just dropping in to say hi and hoping all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am back to SS and already seeing gains or should I say losses? I went to the local mall and bought a skirt in the misses section of my favorite department store. Wooohoo! First time since 2001!

Aloise, Yes, I saw a difference in that my face and neck firmed up quite a bit. One of my friends, who is very thin started doing only the face exercises in September and does them daily. She looks like she has had a face lift! The only way to see how they work is to do them. I am sure you will see positive changes after a few weeks.
Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you.

question

I have a question....If a person is just beginning to exercise would the advanced program be too much? I'm physically active but overweight and I haven't worked out regularly in years. I would like to try SS but I hate to spend all that money if the advanced workout would be OK.

Thanks,

Jan

differences

Hi all, I do the original bodyflex. I bought the video inexpensively off of Amazon. The ratings there were really high by those who use it. I have been doing it for about 3 weeks and I must say I seem to have smoothed out not so lumpy and bumpy. I did not take measurements so cannot post actual loss. I also bought her book "Be a Loser" and it gave a lot of background and some pretty outrageous claims. I believe the truth is not quite as exciting as she claims.......She claims she went from a size 14-16 to a 4-6 in 3 months. All that without really dieting. I think that was a pretty tough claim to believe. What I do think is that I really feel the burn from doing the exercises on the video. I feel like I can do them because they are over in 15 minutes. I feel like there has been some improvement. I am trying to get a grip of the food I am eating and eat less but healthfully.

She claims in the book that the breathing is intrigal to the whole process, and I am confused that SS does not seem to incorporate the breathing. At the end of the book she tells what she eats.....mostly veggies, tofu and minimal amounts of chicken (twice a week) and fish (once a week). I suspect that has a lot to do why she is a 4-6.

I am still on the skeptical side of things but I am glad I found something that I can feel in a short time is doing something. I think this whole idea of isometric exercise is an old idea ready to be discovered again. I read with great interest the description of the 3 exercises on SS and tried them and found them easy to incorporate into a normal day.

Good luck to all, but I believe I like BodyFlex better than SS. Not to exclude the SS but I will do BF in the morning and do the SS in the afternoon. You have to do BF on an empty stomach.

Hope this helps....

Hi All,

Been exceptionally busy as I'm sure you all have been too, so haven't been able to get here.

Have been slacking with SS due to the Holidays, but I will re-start since I'm at a new low of 154 that I haven't seen in about 3 years, and now I'm psyched.

Won't be able to get here until next Thursday, so am wishing all of you a Blessed Christmas and a New Year full of good things for you and yours.

Ciao~~

Trish..I had really good luck with bodyflexing..I was faithful for months with it and lost many inches..I didn't lose a bunch of weight, but I did lose inches...I vote for Bodyflexing myself.

I really haven't done SSing as long as I should, but I will do "both" ..

Thanks Carolyn. I need to find something I can do and will stick with. If I don't see results in a couple weeks, I get frustrated and stop doing it

I think you will see results pretty quickly..within a week..But, it is imperative that you measure, measure, measure..PS: Bodyflexing is something you want to do by yourself..
It sounds really scarey to others who don't understand.
