curr- I hope you feel better soon!
I ran 30 minutes today in the sunshine. 2.8 miles in 30 minutes, I am happy with that! A group of high schoolers (skipping class) yelled at me from their car "you have cellulite!" and I just shook my head. I really don't have much cellulite and anyway, how could they see it? I think in the past I would have been offended but now, whatever. I FINALLY lost a pound! I'll take it! Last edited by janamonkey : 03-06-2007 at 12:25 PM. Reason: I don't make sense sometimes. |

Best wishes for a speedy recovery currdog. Sounds yicko!
Congrats on the long run janamonkey! I agree, I think they are deluding themselves! I don't know a single person over the age of 18 that doesn't have cellulite! It always amazes me at the stupid things people yell out, they must have so much fat in their heads . And double congrats on the pound loss! you must be stoked!! What's pup dog's name?I did W5D3 today - 20mins, about 3km....and without cheating. I'm so proud of me!!! |

Good morning everybody! I am now getting back to W7. Yesterday did D1 on the TM. It was hard not talking myself out of doing it because I haven't been up to par here lately but just reminding myself how much worse I will feel if I let myself get behind is enough to keep me moving!
Sunday we went back to the tracks and did W6D3. However, DD and I did not stop at the 25 minute mark as we're supposed to as we're still prepping for the Capitol 10K which is only 3 weeks away and I need to be able to work thru at least half that by the big day or else I will be really passing out! I only wish we had another month because it's what we truly need. Anyway, that day we covered 4 miles in 65 minutes but my knees were killing me afterwards. Just have to be very careful with this because I realize it could set me back in the program in the long run (it already has, really). Doing the extra time on Saturdays is what has pushed me back thus far but this annual event I have wanted to do with DH for the past 16 years and I am just now getting the chance to do it. So just wanting to let you all know why I am attempting this so early on in the program, under normal circumstances I wouldn't be pushing it. Sorry for all the rambling, LOL! |

Changemylife! We're glad you are here. Don't worry, before long you will be right back where you left off! ![]() Congrats Jana for completing C25K! I am very proud of you! Good for you ignoring those juvenile kids passing by and not letting that get you down. One of these days maybe they will grow up and learn to keep their mouths shut! Some of us have a hard enough time staying motivated with jerks like that roaming around! ![]() P.S. Margot is SO adorable! Just Look at those eyes! ![]() Kellysue -- omg I am sorry to hear you were injured! Just concentrate on healing...I know it sucks not being able to run but you will be back at it before you know it!Chris -- I hope you feel better soon! Everyone else, have a wonderful day and keep up the excellent work! |

thanks all for the well wishes. Feeling much better today. finally got through W7D1 after a 5 day hiatus. It wasn't my best running, but it was running! If i get d2 on friday, and 3 on sunday, then hit Tu Th Sa for W8, i'll be back on track.
jana-cute pic, and you're dog's not bad looking too. congrats on finishing the program! kelly-get better soon, hope your neck injury isn't too serious, thats some crazy stuff. faith good job with your runs. on your 10k, there's nothing wrong with walking. you might do a 5/3 run/walk rather than trying to run it flat out. MnM congrats on your Week 3 run! Everyone else on i missed from the previous page, good job too!

Thanks Chris and Mum and you guys are doing great too!
No way would I be able to attempt running the whole 10K! I plan to alternate jogging/walking as I've been doing on the tracks, except I won't be doing a 20 or 25 minutes straight like I do on the regular itinerary. In fact, I will probably be pacing myself even moreso since I know I'll have a longer distance and won't be stopping after just 4 miles. ...still getting more and more nervous the closer we get! *chews nails* |

I just realized I made it sound as tho I'd run the whole 4 miles when I was out last Sunday!
So just to let you guys know, I'm not doing that well! I apologize for the confusion! What I did do was the 5 min warmup, jog the 25 minutes thru, 5 minute cool down and the remainder I alternated walk/jog about every 1/3 to 1/4 mile. There, much more realistic, eh? ![]() Last edited by FaithM. : 03-08-2007 at 06:33 AM. |

Hey, everyone! Gosh, you're all doing so well. Is anyone else going to do the April Fool's Day Virtual 5K? Three weeks from Sunday, I'm going to do it on the treadmill at DH's gym so I can finally see just how fast (or slow
)I'm really going.Still keeping on schedule, 45 min jog MW and will do again tomorrow. Got to run to work now, KUTGW |

G'Day All,
The virtual 5K sounds kinda fun....but I'm not sure I'll be jogging that far by then....might have to wait and see. Did W6D1 today. I'm not sure who said it earlier, maybe ItsNot2L8 (?) that going back to stop starting after running the 20mins straight seems heaps harder? Well, I've gotta agree! FaithM - you are going to do sooo well ![]() |

Thank you, Lovinlee!
I really hope so! Also, I totally agree too that going back to jog/walk at intervals did seem harder. At first I was thinking, oh this 8, 3, & 5 min. thing will be a cinch after running that 20! Afraid not! The same with jogging 25. It felt like misery doing the 2 separate sets of 10 the week after. It was almost like, shoot let's just run the 25 straight and get it overwith, LOL! Jana -- Thank you for posting your pics! All I can say is WoW you really can see the difference! Keep up the great work everybody! |

W7D2 complete. I'm In Alabama today (i travel a lot if you hadn't noticed). didn't realize how hilly it was. My hamstrings definitely got a workout, but I felt great doing it. I actually ran 27 minutes instead of 25. I hit the top of the hill at 25, and wasn't going to walk down it after i just ran up! I'l lbe ready for the 28's next week, and I'm on track for the virtual 5k. I also signed up for a 5k in Orlando in mid-april (yes more travel) as my first official race.
Jana, great pics. i'm off to lunch, cobb salad is calling my name |

currdog- you are almost done! woohoo!
FaithM- you should do the virtual 5k, even if you walk all- thanks! its funny I didn't really notice the difference until I took the pictures. And yesterday I tried on some 10's at old navy and they were loose. My first 5k is THIS SUNDAY. I am totally freaking out! I considered faking sick so my husband wouldn't make me go... but he would totally see through my lies! |

Janamonkey, I am so mad I can't find your pics. I looked at the at the MB too but I just see a little blue question mark! However reading everyone's posts makes me realise you are looking great. Well done you.I have still not restarted C25K but even so Atkins magic is still working and my tightest jeans are looking baggy on me! Scales are about the same for the pat 6 weeks but we know they lie!!!! Well done all of you, I read this board every day. You are all wonderful.
