Just finished my first hour. Can't wait for the next round. I really enjoyed it!! Had to skip a couple because of a knee problem but hope to work up to them soon.

I got the AM/PM and watched the AM today (without doing the exercises) to get an idea of it. Love the 80's style! Just a quick question... I obviously don't have a bar... but as for the furniture I use for support, does it have to be at a certain height (I'm 6'1") like hip height or other? Or is it just something to hold on to for dear life? On some of the exercises you have to lean over quite a bit (especially at the beginning to make it easier, which is what I'll be needing) so does the piece of furniture need to be lengthy as well?
Congrats to all who've had success with this work out, the pics are great!

I'm DYING here! I've done two sessions of 10/10 (just last week), and I've not been watching what I eat (MIL's house - they love meat and sweets!), but...my measurements:
Bust: 36 (unchanged) Waist: 32 1/2" (previous meas - 32 7/8) Hips: 42" (42 3/8) T/B: 47 (47 7/8 - how much the butt droops - made it up one day) Saddlebags: 25 5/8 (26") calves: 14" (unchanged) Upper arms: 11 1/2 (11 3/8) (my before measurements are in parenthesis) I'm SOOOO very excited! This is GREAT! I'd better hurry and take "before" shots before I get too small!!! WHEEEEE! (thanks for letting me share!!) |

I joined here specifically to participate in this thread! I read about Callanetics on an Atkins board, I just read "Callanetics for the Back" that I scoped at a discount store, I ordered '10 in 10' on VHS, yet to be delivered, I just received the '10 in 10 ' book from Amazon today and have started reading it, and I did 'CallaneticsEvolution' dvd for the first time last night.
I am hooked. I was practicing 'pelvic waves' all day at work! Doing my squats 'triple slow motion.' I took some 'before' pictures, and will be seriously committing to this. I already feel more 'taut.' I am even sitting up straighter in my chair.. without even thinking about it. Looking forward to sharing results! |

![]() The difference is not huge, but it is there. This is after 5 hours. It should probably be labeled 4 hours as I know my 'form' was really terrible the first time! Thighs are a little sleeker.. butt is lifing. YAY! |

Ok I'm inspired you got me. After 2 weeks of induction I finally have my energy back to exercise. I ordered am/pm callenetics and am bidding on super. Will probably go get 10 in 10 too since it's so cheap.

MAJOR LCF POSTER!

I just ordered the 10 in 10 DVD.
Is that a good place to start? Or should I get something else, like beginner callanetics? I see a lot listed... AM/PM, Beginner, Super, Evolution, 10/10. Are they all the same? Or should they be done in a particular order? Thanks for all the help. ![]() |

I have 10/10 and Super and Callanetics Evolution. I have not tried Super yet.. regular is still kicking my booty. I like Evo, but daughter likes 10/10 so that is what we have been doing. Be advised.. you don't have to have a barre. You can do the 'peachy bum' exercises leaning on a forearm and personally I find it to be more stable, I have a footboard on my bed that works for the standing exercises but you could use the arm of a couch etc.
I personally think anyone could start with 10/10. You won't know quite what you are doing at first but you'll catch on! Enjoy! |

Thank you sir, I do love callanetics! I find I can do so many of the exercises throughout my day. I can do tippy toe squats with my fingertips on a counter for balance, I even held to a bar in the pool today, braced my knee on the side, rolled my other hip forward and pulsed out my legs! In the pool I hold the water dumbells stretched behind me and bicycle forward, instead of pulsing up I am having to pull down because of course the weights want to go up. It really works my arms. I love feeling so limber and strong!

Wow your results are amazing, I can really see a big difference. Everything is slimming down. Have you went down in shirt size because your arms are so much smaller now. For instance in the second pic the underarm area is hanging but in the new pic it is straighter across. You are firming nicely. Keep up the good work, I only HOPE to get results like yours. Thank you for posting. |

Oh goodness I didn't even notice that. Thanks for pointing that out, I guess those arm tightening exercises really work! I do a variation of them in the pool, I hold the water dumbells behind me and bicycle around the pool, it is a little different because in the dvd you pulse the arms upward, but in the pool you have to keep pulling the weight down because it tries to float. I was really feeling the work in the arms, but you are right, it is creating results up there too!
