Hello everyone! I am doing a Squeeze rotation right now, but I am going to add Callanetics in there too. I enjoy that kind of exercise the most, but struggle with cardio. Great pictures by the way!
Also, has anyone done the newer Callenetics, one named "Evolution", and the other called "Cardio Callenetics"? Thanks! |

Begin doing as many pulses as you can when you start. Form is more imp than quantity, so make sure you're focusing the energy on each muscle group and following form as much as you can. You will find that as your strength increases, so will the number of pulses. It's an ongoing process of adding intensity and perfect form. Enjoy the ride! ![]() |

Twyla, could you post a couple of the carb rotation menus? Or direct me to a site? DH and I are going no where on Atkins this time. We eat very clean, too. ?? No Callanetics until possibly next week, but the knee is healing nicely so I am thinking I may start then and try the carb rotation..?

It inspired me too, I'm doing 10/10 now. I don't have much weight to lose, but I want to tone my body, because it doesn't look too well. Just one question, do you sweat while doing 10/10? I did it today for the first time, but it didn't make me to put too much effort on it. Maybe I am doing something wrong, although I feel the tension while doing it.

i suggest really paying attention to what callen is saying during the exercises.. pay attention to where she says you should be feeling it and really focus on keeping posture, and the precise small movements..
callanetics is kinda like yoga, you may not feel it so much while you are doing it, but boy you feel it the next day.. |

while i dont have b4 and after pix i just wanted to tell everyone how callanetics has helped me fall inlove with exercise for the first time. i was never one to exercise, i was lazy and hated it something horrible. well i bought 10 in 10 on a whim and have had it for a while... anyway for march i made a promise that i wouuld do some sort of exercise every day in the month till it was a habbit.
i have been doing long strolls on my day off.. sometimes hubby and i walk upto 10 miles in a day pushing the stroller... anyway so far in march i have done 7hrs of 10 in 10 and was changing infront of a full length mirror and almost fainted.. from having a child and being overweight i had a flap of skin right above my pubic line.. i came to conclusion that some day id just have to have it removed if i wanted it to go away. i mean i have always had a pretty decent belly cause since i was like 11 i been sucking it in and now it just stays.. lmao well i looked down and the extra skin is almost gone and its almost totally flat.!!! i just about passed out.. ran into the livingroom nakid to show hubbby lmao... i havent lost many inches yet half inch off my hips... and my weight has stayed the same... but mommy poof be gone!! its like magic taa daaaaa!

Hi all. Just finished my 1st hour of this and feeling great. One question: the DVD I ordered from Ebay doesn't have the behind exercises in it! It's 10 in 10, and it shows the behind/line picture then skips right to the stretches...have I been scammed??? Or does the dvd not have those?
Thanks |

Mine doesn't either. I thought the "leg" exercises were supposed to also work for the whole glute region..? Someone who knows will weigh in and tell us..?!?
My knee is healing nicely and I think I may try some exercises today without doing a whole DVD. Work up slowly.. |

the exercises that you do when you roll your hip up and kinda rest on your thigh with the barre infront of you, are the hip and bum exercises

I just checked with my book (the 10 in 10 original), and it has the similar version of what is described above but while kneeling on your knees as well (one with bent knee and one with straight leg. The DVD is also missing the open-and-close and the inner thigh squeeze.
Is this normal, then, to not have these on your DVD? ![]() |

"kneeling on your knees???" Is there any other way to kneel?
![]() Anyway, the two additional behind exercises from the book are the same as the seated, just kneeling (if that helps you). The description for proper form before beginning is to look as if you're water skiing (lean back with arms straight and pelvis tipped up). If you want me to e-mail more specifics (instead of purchasing an additional item), I'd be happy to type more (and not bore the rest of the boards). Thanks |

Just to be sure before I contact the Ebay seller, all of your Callanetics DVDs only have the two "on the floor" hips/legs exercises? I don't want to start an incident, unless I HAVE to...

I got the AM/PM and watched the AM today (without doing the exercises) to get an idea of it. Love the 80's style! Just a quick question... I obviously don't have a bar... but as for the furniture I use for support, does it have to be at a certain height (I'm 6'1") like hip height or other? Or is it just something to hold on to for dear life? On some of the exercises you have to lean over quite a bit (especially at the beginning to make it easier, which is what I'll be needing) so does the piece of furniture need to be lengthy as well?
Congrats to all who've had success with this work out, the pics are great! |

I'm DYING here! I've done two sessions of 10/10 (just last week), and I've not been watching what I eat (MIL's house - they love meat and sweets!), but...my measurements:
Bust: 36 (unchanged) Waist: 32 1/2" (previous meas - 32 7/8) Hips: 42" (42 3/8) T/B: 47 (47 7/8 - how much the butt droops - made it up one day) Saddlebags: 25 5/8 (26") calves: 14" (unchanged) Upper arms: 11 1/2 (11 3/8) (my before measurements are in parenthesis) I'm SOOOO very excited! This is GREAT! I'd better hurry and take "before" shots before I get too small!!! WHEEEEE! (thanks for letting me share!!) |

I joined here specifically to participate in this thread! I read about Callanetics on an Atkins board, I just read "Callanetics for the Back" that I scoped at a discount store, I ordered '10 in 10' on VHS, yet to be delivered, I just received the '10 in 10 ' book from Amazon today and have started reading it, and I did 'CallaneticsEvolution' dvd for the first time last night.
I am hooked. I was practicing 'pelvic waves' all day at work! Doing my squats 'triple slow motion.' I took some 'before' pictures, and will be seriously committing to this. I already feel more 'taut.' I am even sitting up straighter in my chair.. without even thinking about it. Looking forward to sharing results! |
