Hello :)
Hi everyone
I've been following this forum for ages and finally decided it's time for me to reshape my body as you're all such an inspiration! I used to be a UK size 10 but since having my baby in August I've gone up to a UK size 12/14 (mostly 14) I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and would love to get back to a 10. Currently I do Zumba for 40 - 60 minutes 5 days a week and have been doing that for about 2 weeks and am already able to JUST squeeze back into my size 12 jeans. My diet hasn't changed much, I usually eat pretty good with the occasional cookie or McDonalds thrown in there but never overdo the junk food I have no idea what I weigh, I just focus on the way I look in the mirror/in my clothes. If I add callanetics 10 in 10 along with what I'm currently doing, could I expect to see results quickly? Thanks everyone and keep up the amazing work ![]() xx |

![]() I have tried both and each has its benefits. The 10/10 uses several props and has exercises that I cannot do because of bad knees. However, I noticed results faster. Evolution is more fluid, graceful and works quickly on your legs and behind. After 3 months, I was stuck. So, I have started switching off between the 2 each day. Check out the previous Callanetics challenge threads. |

Hello, I received my 10/10 dvd in the mail one week ago and just completed my 5th hour. I found this thread tonight and decided to join. Thank you all for the inspiration to keep going! I've never been one to work out, but my love for candy and goodies has caught up with me. I need to lose 10-12 lbs, and looking forward to looking and feeling better. I am loving Callenetics so far! I am mixing Leslie Sansone "walk away the pounds" for cardio. I would like to do Callenetics 3 times a week, and Leslie's walk 2 times. I am 50 yrs young, so advice or thoughts are welcome! Thank you :0)

Hi Ladies!
I need to lose about 20 pounds. I have been vegan for 10 years and am currently doing the Clean program to detox and hopefully lose some weight. From there I plan on being mostly raw vegan (low carb naturally, and I will be adding lots of raw protein powder) I have been practicing Bikram yoga for a month now, 5 days/week. It was greatly reduced the saddle bags I earned while practicing the Bar Method for a year (gave me a gorgeous upper body but thickened and deformed my legs awfully! :-() I know that Bikram isn't enough so I wanted to try and do 3 days of 10 in 10, 3 days of Bikram, and one day of rest. I want to also add the upper body routine of BM since it worked so well for me 3 days per week on the Callanetics days. What do you all think? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am excited to be a part of this forum :-) |

I must agree with you on the Bar Method. I'm an apple so I never had saddle bags to begin with. After a few months of Bar, my sides of my thighs got huge. I didn't look like me. It would stop me in my tracks if I passed a mirror. It was that shocking. I do believe this happened because my legs are very strong and my muscles responded much faster than the fat loss. I think all the ball work was the problem. I did have nice results from the upper body work. I think what you plan to do is going to be fine. Off to a hot yoga class. YES! That's how I feel- it's as if my legs belong to a whole other person. Within a month of Bikram 5 days per week, they are beginning to shrink down. I really hope that Callanetics continues to improve them, because I can't afford to keep up the 5 day a week yoga schedule.
I wonder if other people experienced this issue with BM? I'm a classic hourglass and never had a saddlebag issue a day in my life before BM. |

Hi everyone! I have an old vhs of Callenetics I bought of the web. I tried it for the first time today. I was shocked how tough it was! I had been through a round of Chalean so I thought it would be easy! I started doing 30 day Shred 3 times a week a while back and just walking.
I'm wondering if it is ok to do 30 day Shred along with the Callentics 3 days a week. Is there any reason that would mess up the program? Is 3 times a week of Callenetics enough? Thanks for any insight you can give me!

How interesting about the Bar Method -- I am a total devotee of it! It is the one form of exercise that has really helped reduce my saddlebags, so I guess each body is different. I am a pear by nature though... and I did bulk up a bit at first (as Burr says is likely to happen) but then I really leaned out a lot after that.

Ok, here are my before and afters for 10 hours of Callanetics! I've been doing the 10/10 video every other day. I did skip a day because I was sore, but still did 10 sessions total so far. As far as diet, I've been eating really clean, no grain carbs, lots of plain yogurt! I do not count calories anymore. I focus on eating what my body tells me it needs, which has been colorful vegetables and lots of good fat and protein. I eat yogurt with whey protein and cinnamon every morning, with no sweetener. Delicious!
![]() ![]() ![]() Not the hugest difference, but I'm very happy with it. I can fit into shorts that were uncomfortable last month. I haven't been weighing myself, and I don't plan to. I am in this to be stronger and more comfortable with how my body looks and feels, so no numbers for me |

And thank you again! This is the first time in my life that I have started an exercise regimen that has been gentle, and I have aimed for a healthier lifestyle without hating on myself and living with mental insults to my body all day. It has been more mental work than physical, and I guess this just shows how powerful the mind can be. |

Congratulations on all your successes! (I still haven't managed 10 hours of the 10/10 workout, I mostly do the AM/PM one, or work at my own pace without a dvd. ) |

Fantastic result!
These are the pics I love to see on here; after all, this thread is for 'before and after' pics specifically. What an amazing result, and we can't even see your arms because they're bent, but I bet they look awesome too. I love the tip about yoghurt, WP and cinnamon too. I'm going to try that tomorrow morning!

I am enthralled by all of your pictures. I have been obsessed with my body for over twenty years and have tried every diet under the sun (even becomming bulemic) - the only thing I have failed to try is exercise! I have bought calanetics dvd and am starting tonight and thereafter EVERY MORNING! I am about 6 / 7 kgs over weight - also going to cut carbs out of my diet. Hoping that this, together will the calanetics will give me rewarding results! Pictures to follow!
