Are people doing anything other than callanetics to get their results?

WOW! I want to try this!!!

I've tried Billy Blanks, but I just can't keep up on the video, and his exercises are rather intense. I did like following a set workout that went through the whole body. Right now I'm on the treadmill, bicycling, and swimming. Nothing is helping my tummy....

All these pics have so inspired me!

Hello everyone. I am here new and I don't speak English well so I hope you will understand

I have started with callanetics 12 days ago. I exercise each day the 10 hours/10 years younger (something like this).
When I look to mirror on my body I can not really see a change. Is it because it is just 12 exercise, or I do something wrong? My weight is 70 kg, I would like to lose 12-15 kg, and 166 cm tall. So my weight with high doesn't work together any way.
Can you help me with it? Is my worry just because it is 12th exercise?
and How often is good to exercise? Is it wrong if I exercise each day?
Thank you very much for your help.

Oh wow, I just saw this. Thank you

I haven't done Callanetics in quite awhile, but when those pics were taken, I was doing Callanetics at least 3x a week and working out on my elliptical 2-3x week for about 30 minutes per workout. My diet was general low carb, 20-30/day.

I really do need to get back to it - I had THE BEST results with Callan!

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone. I am new here, and I would like to say that your posts and photos have motivated me into doing Callanetics. I have been doing low carb for about a year now. I started off at about 204 lbs. and now down to 168 lbs. and counting to get to my goal weight. (130 lbs) I am hoping that Callanetics will do me some justice in toning up the muscles in my body. By the way, you guys look great!

So sorry for the late response.... ok way late! I've been away from the boards for a few months.

Thank you! Cardio of some sort is always added. Right now most of my workouts are two the three mile walks at least every other day. I'll get back to Callanetics when the weather doesn't allow for the walks!

recommendations for a newcomer?

Newbie! I went to the Callanetics site. There are too many dvd's listed. Can anyone recommend a good one to start with (clear instructions, good workout, etc.) I am looking to reshape my body. Currently I bike and kayak.

I went to Amazon and saw many mixed reviews on several of the products listed at the Callanetics sit.

Thank you,

Forgetful

Callanetics evolution is great! The DVD explains the lowdowns of Callanetics. there are three women demonstrating different levels - beginners, intermediate, and advanced also Sandra is present on the callanetics monthly threads to answer questions and give tips.

No I wish it was lol I eat low carb and walk/run and do some light weights, but callanetics really helped tone up my body and helped with inch loss. Come join us all on the http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ex...challenge.html you can ask your questions there and get support!

I know some people who have been satisfied with Countdown and stick with it, but I wanted more and bought the 10/10 (video and book)

Then after following the discussion here I bought CardioC and Evolution. Things really started happening after CardioC. Well, to be exact there have been two major progressparts during my journey. During the Countdown I lost inches really fast and then got sort of stuck. Starting CardioC began another fast paced inchloss.

To sum this all up. For me, Countdown was almost essential to begin with. Through that I built strength and understood what Callanetics is and how it works. Starting straight from 10/10 would have been like wall for me, I'm a perfectionist and not being able to do 400 abs straight away would've been horrible Continuing with 10/10 was natural and I was very happy with that, too. It's a very intense program and takes time to get used to. CardioC and Evolution are new adds to the program. The best thing with both of them is that they explain the Callanetics concepts, which might be a bit hard to master.

Countdown I did every day, but after that tried to workout every other day or three times a week.

Oh, and the results. I bought new pants last spring - size 46. In November there was an event and I could fit in size 40 I don't know if those sizes mean anything to you...

I hope this answered your question

Do join us in the January 2010 CALLANETICS challenge!!
Thank you, thank you...I can't believe I overlooked your response, but I've just come across it now, when I most need it! I've just started (again!) on Countdown, because I felt that even starting with 10/10 was too much for me, and I like the way Countdown breaks it all down into manageable chunks.

It's great that you achieve such good results too! No, I don't know what 46 in pants means, but I'm sure it's fantastic, looking at your weight stats.

I will keep you posted on how I go, thanks once again! And of course to the unfailingly patient Sandra who is constantly answering my concerns..))

Hi everyone,

I did callenetics at my lowest weight for a month. Like a dummy, I stopped for some reason and have since gained over 10 lbs. So I'm here, getting motivated to get back to where I was and start exersizing. All these pictures are so motivating. I went back and looked at my own pictures and was pretty surprised. At the time, I don't remember being very impressed but I'm not sure what I was expecting after a month. I need to try this again. I've got to order a DVD though because I'm pretty sure the VCR doesn't work.

I've never posted a pic before, so I hope I don't mess this up..

Nice that I could help

About those sizes: they are the same used in Germany. But
size 46 = 18 (U.S.) = 20 (U.K.)
size 40 = 12 (U.S.) = 12 (U.K.)
according to Online Conversion - Women's Clothing Conversion

I'm sure you'll get fantastic results!
