Callanetics Challenge for December
This thread is for anyone doing Callanetics by Callan Pinkney, If you wince at the terms "saddle bags" and "thunder thighs" and you want to, eliminate cellulite (who doesnt??) and turn that pear shaped behind into a tight little peach (that sounds so dirty
) then this exercise is for YOU! Callanetics is a series of gentle, precise movements, that when done properly can make a spectacular difference in the shape of your body . I'm in!! I just finished my 5th hour of Callanetics 10/10. I am finally starting to get the hang of some of the moves. I can almost finish the abs and I am really working on form for the hips and behind. I can already see a difference in my legs. They look alot tighter. I love coming here to this board, because it really keeps me motivated to keep doing it. I think all of you gals are great!!!

Morning ladyloves
I did some very simplistic moves yesterday standing, I did almost an hour total of plie's( used my counter and lowered on the 3 count slow and came back up on 3 count slow etc) I won the 2 items on ebay, quick legs and quick hips and behind so I can at least do these when they come in unless my DR tells me tomorrow I can get on the floor and start the others I have ![]() I am going to review the tapes again this am and /or do an online search for ones I can do standing and work on these, my outer thighs ache so thats a good thing~lol~ I wont really count the time until I can get me a routine of an hour total so heres to a new month and perfect peach bottoms with toner thighs

Good morning all...I just could not drag my butt out of bed this morning to do my am callanetics...I will do the entire tape tonight when I get home.
Trish - glad Ebay worked out for you...my 10/10 was won by someone else...still having problems with my home computer so I was not able to get on at 10PM and win the tape! Now I have to start all over! More later ladies Gail |

Did my 30th hour yesterday. Some moves are starting to get too easy so I'll be looking for something else to alternate with. My old 'advanced' pilates is of no use though, it's soo not challenging since I have done callan
I'll go and poke around on video fitness and see what they have.I figure I will do callan every 2nd day (instead of every day like now) and find something that works the arms more the other days. |

Welcome to newcomers....Callanetics is so awesome! Stick with it and you'll see! Did cardio and arms/weights this morning...Actually felt guilty not doing Callan...now what's THAT about???? Talk about an addiction! Lucky, I had been doing Callan every other day, but this past week I did 3 consecutive days of Callan, because I had noticed that I wasn't feeling any muscle soreness and thought I could use the extra hours, so to speak. And all day yesterday and this morning that burn/soreness in my muscles is back (how I love that!), so I think I'll do Callan about 5 times a week, and get in cardio about 4 times a week for better/quicker results, and to keep my muscles challenged. Rapture, you're bookin' it, aren't ya! Good for you. Everyone have a good day. ![]()

Did hour nine of 10/10 this morning. My stomach is definitely looking better. Both pouches, upper and lower.
It will be harder for me to visually see the progress since I have lost a TON of weight and still have half a ton to go, but I can sure feel it. Happy December everyone. |

Trish~ I have the "Quickies" and they are great. The problem, I need to do them! I need to place that order for the 10/10. Amazon only takes one day to get the items.
Melissa~ Your stats and results for doing Callan are astounding! Thanks for sharing. I am doing my 3 Quickie dvd's today. I am starting over on my hour count, since I have been so hit and miss the last many months with it. I am then resuming on Tuesday to do Callan every other day of December and January, except right around my races. I want that PEACH! ![]()

I did not do my Callanetics last night!
Ended up falling asleep instead. I usually fight that feeling off and just go for it ( and I am always glad I did) but not last night. I guess that is okay. It would have been the 5th night in a row that I did it.Tonight is hour number 10. As for looking 10 years younger, I don't know about that. But I can definately tell that I am going in the right direction! I carry most of my extra fat on my legs, so I know that I will have to lose some more fat to really see what Callanetics is doing for them. But so far my results are as follows: 1) arms are much tighter. When hands are on my hips, you can see the outline of my biceps and there is alot of definition in my shoulders. They are smaller then they were before. 2) Abs (especially the tops ones) are mostly visible and that is without flexing. The moves on the video really pull your muscles in tight, so you can also see my ribs. My hip bones are popping out. 3) Butt is smaller, rounder and a tiny bit higher. 4) Legs are more "curved" on the outside. I think that the outside of the thigh is shrinking faster then the inside (on the outside of the leg was mostly muscle that needed to be pulled in, the inside is fat). So now my inner thigh thickness is more prominant, but I know it is just a matter time and clean diet until I see a difference there. 5) She's not joking about the sex drive. I never really cared about sex at all, but now it seems like I am crawling all over my boyfriend (which he loves )LadyLove: I thinkt that consistency is really key here. Take comfort in knowing that if you stick with this, you WILL get results. There is no question about it. You just need to keep doing it! Talk to you ladies later! (Gotta work today!) |

I can't wait to start seeing these type of results. I too carry alot of weight/fat (or whatever you want to call it - I however want to call it GONE never to be seen again) in my thigh areas. I'd also like to reduce the butt and make it more firm and you know that "perfect little behind". I'm getting so psyched... thanks again. |

I echo the enthusiasm that everyone has shared thus far regarding the results with Callanetics. I have always had big thighs -- hated my legs -- and have tried my whole life to slim them, shape them, whatever. Dieting..weights...cardio...running....you name it. I made slight improvements off and on, but was convinced they'd never get much better because of genetics. My most recent attempt before Callanetics was to up my free weights for lunges and squats...tried that approach for four months, and my legs actually got bigger ...AND NEVER WENT BACK DOWN as many say they will once you adapt to the workout. Then I tried Callanetics. I've seen a huge improvement in my thighs, my arms, my butt...ditto all the above comments others have made. Most obvious to me is my clothes size. I was wearing a snug Size 8 when I began October 31st with Callanetics. I'm now down to an easy Size 6. I'VE NEVER WORN A 6 IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. And I'm not even "done." I'm only on Hour 19. I plan to measure for a third time at Hour 30. I highly, highly recommend this video for dramatic results! |

)My progress has been: 1. the bulges on my hips are completely smoothed out 2. My butt feel harder, higher, with no lumps(cellulite), I have a smooth @ss! 3. Baby pouch is almost GONE!!!! 4. Inner thighs are almost toned up. They were really jiggily before!!! 5. The Cellulite on my bod is almost GONE!!!! 6. And all of this magic, and I haven't really lost any weight on the scale, just lots of inches!!!! And I am ONLY on hour 13!!! It works FAST!!!! Just make sure you get ALL the moves DOWN!!!! And you WILL be amazed!! I will post some dramatic pics in my bikini, before and afters, when I hit hour 20. Just want to give everyone a shock!!! Finally I am getting the body of people I always would envy. My legs look longer and leaner, that of a dancers body!!!!! Heather ![]() Oh, by the way everyone, I started at a tight size 11/12, now I can easily fit into a size 9!!!!!!!!! I could probably squeeze into a 7. That's all junior sizes. well there are several tapes
the only one I know of that is an hour is 10 years younger in 10 hours but the other tapes add up, so if you do 20 or 30 mins a day you add them and get your hour, then your at 1 hr etc every hour is built up to 10( tryin to recall the whole spheel) anyways, for every hour you do it proves a leaner/toner/healthier you |

Most people are refering to the 10/10 or Super Callan. as far as the hour long tapes. I think thats what the majority are using. I know there are other tapes, but not sure how long they are.
