Good for you! Remember the diet is 70-80% of your progress. The exercise just accelerates it. I haven't been able to workout for over a month and I'm still losing weight. After the doctor determines the best diagnosis and treatment for my knee (retains fluid when I workout) and I am healed, I will be back to my many programs full force and will tone up tremendously.

HA! I want to look good neck-ked!

I am in such a funk!! I did grat with Micheal's porgram but it worked better than any of the many diets I have been on. I am a B. LInda what are some of your ways you fix your meals. I have chicken egg whites and I lived on the chili any other suggestions. I really really need to get my butt in gear to do this.

I just tried on my last summer clothers....if that was not incentive to get back on 6wbmo I am not sure what is. I wore those comfortablely last year and can barely fasten the. I am very discouraged with myself. Do you think it is too late to make a difference before summer?

From what I've seen it's not too late to start. I've seen those Extreme Makeovers this works well. And Linda seems to have done well!

I did this awhile back... not too successful. One thing that was hard was exercising at a lower heart rate... for me, around 106 -114 HR - that was walking slow for me. Do you think the slow cardio helped you?

WOE: Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover!
Start Date: January 1, 2004 on the Thurmond Plan
You can workout at your own pace. As your body becomes more fit, it will require more output from you. In the meantime, there is no set rule for 6WBMO workouts. He just emphasizes that a slow burn is what gets the metabolism going, wherein, lots of bouncing, jumping, all of that exertion burns mostly sugar. Slow and steady wins the fat-race. If you examine the members on the site, you will see as evidence that the majority of people on that board were either morbidly obese, obese, or borderline, or very overweight and has tons of medical issues to deal with. They definitely could and should not (out of shape) exert themselves. As time passes, they'll be able to incorporate it then.

The "no salt" rule I believe stems from MT being witness to too many obese individuals' blood pressure sky rocket from over-consumption of sodium, little to no water intake, and we won't talk about the diet. Run, pace-walk, swim, etc. are you kidding me? Those poor people would have keeled over from lifting a plate. And everyone comes to know when you do something that feels gentle, encourages your enjoyment, and speeds up the metabolism. Guess what? You're going to be out there the next day and so on and gradually work your way up to increased workout increments.

I've seen women go from 450lbs and wearing a custom-made size because their size was not available to a size 4! Can you believe that shiznet!? This is the only plan that has really worked for me. Most plans are too restrictive, this one allows you foods in their natural states, encourages unprocessed food consumption, and speeds up your metabolism like a race car.

There is no monetary benefit from my promotion of this plan. I'm just living proof it works. Every day is a new day for me to experiment with my muffin recipe, or my gravy, my baked potatoes, hash browns, roast meats, garlic infused vegetables.

People! I am sooo NOT HUNGRY. I eat every 2-3 hours and I LOVE FOOD. Only this time, I eat the right foods for my body and anyone wanting to get in the best shape of their lives quickly and without strenuous exercises, then I think it would be a very wise investment. I paid $171.00 for my kit because I wanted it YESTERDAY. I think the kit is 125.00 or less. I also think some people are selling them on E-Bay for about $10.00 or something.

I would have reached my goal a long time ago, but I, too, started with the low carb junk and even tried reinducting to Atkins and I gained weight, but nipped that in the bud and realized the only plan that will work for me is 6WBMO: BECAUSE IT WORKS!

Have a great day, Ladies.

Linda, Can a "B" eat like that, too? I thought it sounded like I would be eating only 2 oz. of chicken breast , or fish, for lunch and dinner every day (in addition to very small snacks). I will be ordering the program tomorrow, but to tell you the truth, I am scared about the lack of variety in the food.

Oh, Contraire, Stacer. There's hundreds upon hundreds of combos. Eating 2oz of protein is hardly enough to provide you with 2-3 hours worth of energy. MT even states in the personal binder you will receive that if you're hungry, then you're not eating enough. Between the 100oz of water, the meat for your body type, and the two cups of vegetables, you shouldn't feel hungry at all.

I just ate a delicious bowl of homemade chili (turkey) with rice, and a homemade "corn" muffin and my vegetable was a cup of okra (I love okra, especially when I cook it with lots of onions).

There are so many recipes. Have you been on the site? I think your kit may be new and improved to include extras. You know how those businesses work, in order to obtain new customers, they through in a couple of freebies; I hope yours has some.

You are sooo gonna lose weight like lightening. I think your body gets so used to burning it up that if you screw up after you've been on it for a while, it just keeps burning.

When I did Atkins, if I even looked at a roll or potatoes, or milk, my butt would expand from across the room without even touching anything.
This plan is so natural, you aren't hungry and you must drink your 100oz of water daily, too, to flush out the toxins and by products of your metabolism. It's second nature to me now. You will do fabulously! I just have a feeling.

LInda, can you share your muffin recipe with me? I ma a B. I am ready this time!! (time 2) I too paid big bucks for my kit last year and let the weight pile on. I hope to lose at lease 20 pounds by my anniversery JUne 9. I think that is a doable goal if I stick to the plan!! Eating 2 boiled eggwhites and grapefruit as I type. Do you do a daily thread on this on the exercise boards? The Provida boards are so busy. Good info but I like this one with the personal coach!! That is you of course!!

Stacer, it would not be fair for neither of us, who spent the "big bucks" to put recipes out here, by giving the program away for free. I was also scolded by one of the BMOS for doing just that. However, if you can provide me (pm) some evidence that you have the cards, etc., then I will be more than happy to give you any of my recipes. BTW, Provida now has two cookbooks. One for the rapid weight loss (6 days, 1 size) and the regular cookbook.

Caio!

Linda Love: Please tell me this..... since you eat every 2-3 hours, does MT offer a way of eating at the correct time if you are busy, say....driving (long haul drive) or out shopping and dont want to stop at a restaurant or whatever,,,,, you know, kinda snacks on the go????

I find planning ahead is the key to this plan. I take small amounts of chicken and believe it or not I have taken babyfood jars of fruit for travel! They are 100% fruit and no preservataives. I am still trying to get in the mode LInda is in! I did this last year and it worked so great and I felt so good. I am on day 2 and yesterday was a perfect on program day!! I have a headache but I know this is normal in the the first few days. I am a coffee hound and drink cream in my coffee so switching to black is not fun for me. I now Coffee is not good anyway so I may quit all together. I am sure this part of my headache.

thank you Cindy. I closed the window and the box popped up right there. I'm a C according to this. Now I have to read it and figure out what that means lol.

ETA: well is seems accurate. I always knew I was a combination of ectomorph and endomorph.

You guys are FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY!

Ok, you MUST prepare your foods AHEAD OF TIME. I use empty jars to pack my lunch in. I also use those little Glad containers. If you're going on long hauls and don't have time to stop, there's all kinds of foods for you to snack on, BUT ONLY IN YOUR PRESCRIBED EATING PERIOD...grazing is not permitted and don't forget to take your water and drink, drink, drink because your body will be burning fat BIG TIME and you want to flush out those toxins.

Go to the site or E-Bay or Amazon.com. I'm sure you can get it for the same price as HSN and at Amazon, they have a shipping incentive, too. If you spend $25.00 or more, you qualify for free shipping.

I so want to see you succeed at this, I can hardly spit straight. (kidding).

Take care, good people.

You ladies are totally amazing!!!!! I so applaud you!!!! OMG! That's great news!!! Glad you stopped over to my journal. Stop in anytime, even stay if you like. We are so gonna rock.

I haven't dated too much in the past few years, but now, men are coming out of the woodwork! It's a whole new realm, I tell ya. I will see you both over on Provida and here regularly. People really treat you differently when you are slimmer. It's sad to have that kind of relations, but from what I've been told my friends visiting other countries, heavy women are cherished. Believe it or not. My neighbor went to Rio de Janero(sp) and said women wore bikinis on the beach and were 300lbs and no one noticed. Wow!

But I digress, anyway, we are so going to reach our goals. I'm so glad I have your support. I will support you always.

Peace!

Cindy, That is great May I ask if you were previously doing Atkins (where you would have already lost water weight)?

I ordered the program through Provida, but then canceled it after they told me that it was on backorder. From their forum it sounded like most people had been waiting on it for at least six weeks. I thought I would try to get it somewhere else or just use the book for now.

Linda Love certainly has me pumped to get started, and you have just added fuel to the fire! I'll go get the book today!

I was giving south beach and lean for life a try. I am sure there is a ton of water weight but the pounds/water dropped on a daily basis!! I did this in the past with great success. From MArch 8, 2004 to May 11, 2004 I lost 27 pounds and I had some cheats with mininmal exericse. Planning ahead is the key. I use Sunday to cook. It can get boring if you do not try new things. I love chicken and am not a huge beef fan. I have to encourage myself daily but when I have a good loss it is so worth it. As you can see from my profile, I have alot to lose so I am only at the tip of the iceberg. I should not I suppose but I do "tweak" things a bit because I have use eggbeaters as omlets once and a while and "I can't believe it is not butter" spray and a drop of ff salad dressing. These are only things I have done that I am not supossed to but if this is a lifestyle for me I have to be honest. So far it is ok but you have to see what works for you. My husbnd bought this for me last year at 200 bucks and it is the best money I have ever spent. As I said, I have done all the plans!!!
