I go to a little country baptist church here in town. My husband is the pianist. I go every other sunday. I can't go every sunday because I work and 911 emergency calls don't stop on sunday so I gotta be there. I got saved 5 years ago and I love hearing my pastor preach about Gods word.

Hello Marsha, nice to meet you! I'm a Baptist also. I became saved at the age of 16 (I'm 29 now). I was raised in the Baptist faith starting at the age of 13.
I love going to church, learning about God's Word and love the fellowship with other believers. I belong to a small church, but there are many things to get involved in. I love it. I grew up in that church, got saved in that church, and got married in that church. Now my children go to church with us and my 8 year old son recently accepted Christ

Anytime you'd like to chat I'm here. Was there anything specific you wanted to talk about? I've been down south before, to North and South Carolina and loved it there. I've been in the heart of the Bible belt a few times and loved it! There was a church on every corner. I would love to move there someday. I live in New York state right now. I really don't like it much here, but hey it's home.

Southern Baptist

I just got in from Wed night services. I live in MS and go to a very large Southern Bapt church myself. Tonight was about "Accountability" and we studied in the book of James.
I am new to this site and this is the first time I've ever done this type thing on line. I am starting over on the Atkins after losing 74 pds in 10 months and then regaining it over two yrs. Hoping I have learned some valuable things along the way to help me lose it again (plus more) and this time to keep it off for good.
Say alittle prayer for me.

So why don't we all tell a little bit about ourselves and maybe use this as a place where we can share things with our fellow baptists or whomever wants to join in.

I am a recently saved hopefully soon to be baptized wife and mother of one 13yo DD. When I was a girl I attended church regularly. I remember getting pins for every year of perfect attendance. I think I had eight years. Somewhere I am sure my mom has those put away . DH and I started back in church during February of this year. I was gone for many years and honestly regret it now. My Grandpa was the preacher and i really wish i would've went more as an adult and listened to his words. I lost him to alzheimers over a year ago. I know he had much he could've taught me, but the last couple of years he had little time that he was mentally with us.

I started to go to church when I was 15 years old. My best friend invited me to go to a church social they were having at her Baptist church and I went and enjoyed it so much that I began to go to Sunday school with her to.
I knew the church was right for me because I felt so comfortable going and studying Gods word. My best friend even gave me a Bible because I did not have one of my own at that time.
After a year going to church I decided to get baptized and dedicate my life to God. I began working in our church to do whatever needed to be done, I worked with the little children sometimes, I help plan church socials, and field trips we took to go to other churches near by that was having revivals.
I worked with that same church until I was 21 and got married and moved away. We moved to Jacksonville, Fla. and my husband (who was also a Baptist) joined a small church not far from our home and we were involved in that for many years.
When we had our daughter we sent her to a christian school when it was time for her to go to school and we joined that church where her school was and I was so involved in everything with church and school, but loved every minute of it.
We still go to church but not as inviolved as were once were because of my health problems. But We do go to Bible studies still.
I still read my Bilbe everyday and study Gods word. I do a Daily devotional here on this board, its called "Daily Devotionals--NEW". Come join in it with us sometimes.
I don't walk or stand to good anymore due to arthritis in my knees but I love during these devotionals on-line. This is my way of doing what God has called me to do, spread His word.

Hi everyone,
My name is Pat. I've been a southern Baptist since I was saved at age 7. My husband of 41 yrs is a pastor. We both enjoy contemporary Christian music very much as well as good faith based preaching.
We have a son, age 39 and a daughter age 34. Our son's oldest, our only granddaughter is 16 and attends a Christian high school. Our oldest grandson is 14 and shares my birthday. Our youngest grandson is nearly 5 months. He belongs to our daughter and son-in-law who wanited 12 yrs for him. Needless to say he is our pride and joy...we love him to pieces!
It's a pleasure to meet you all.

Dgcashier, nice to meet you and happy that you joined us here. Come join us in our Daily Devotionals--NEW here on the board.

Terri, I am happy that you have been reading the devotionals. I do get alot out of posting them and reading and studying them myself.
With this arthritis I have so bad sometimes its even too hard to get up and make it to Sunday school and church but I do my best. I don't miss unless the pain is just to much to bare. My husband has been so great about taking care of me and getting me to church to. Walking is just so hard on me right now. Thats why I choose to do the daily devotionals here on line. I really do not post any certian devotion or study, just what I feel God wants me to post for that day.
I do alot of on-line Bible study and have learned so much from it. I just thank God I can do this because I am sure He knows my situation with my walking and pain.
I feel He has led me to do this and thats what I live for is to please my God.

My husband and I attend a Southern Baptist Church, also. We are Christians first, and are attending this church because we believe this is where the Lord wants us at this time. He is the Youth Minister there.

My Husband's Family are all Baptist and most of my family too. I don't have a church affiliation myself as of right now, so guess you would say that I am Non Denomiantional. I was raised Assembly Of God, and my Husband got saved in the Metodist Church when we were young. When we moved to where we live now, we went to the Southern Baptist Church until some problems rose and we felt like we didn't need to be there. I really love the Baptist People and maybe some day we will be lead to go to another Baptist Church...

I would love for all of you girls to join us in the Sistas in Christ Thread, We sure would love to have you be with us and to become a part of our family...

"The U in JesUs"

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God even stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name.
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand,
He rose from the dead with U in His plan.
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
And even the word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth during His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention,
"Go into the world and tell them it's true,
That I love them all -- Just like I Love U."

There are so many people just like U.
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do;
He'd like them to know, but it all starts with U!

Grew up in a fundamentalist Baptist church. Saved at age 10 & baptised shortly thereafter.

Currently attend a CM&A which is very close. As long as they preach the Word, I'm fine.

I remember my Grandmother taking me to the First Baptist Church with her when I was very little... My Aunt Gusty attended that Church until she got where she couldn't go and she lived to be 87 years old...
