Can I get prayer?

I need to be lifted, I need to forgive, I need to Let Go and Let God.
I need to trust that my needs will be met, I need to remember that there is nothing I cannot do through Christ.

Can I get some help in Lifting my issues to God?

Molly, you sure can!!! I will pray for you. You will forgive, God will forgive you and lift you up. Sometimes we need to let go and let God do the work. Letting him deal with those things, siduations and circumstances that have hurt us and harmed us.

For myself, I have gone through many troubles and trials of life, but God has always been there for me. He took me out of the darkness and into the light of God. All we need to do is come to the throne of grace, and confess our sins to him, and ask for forgiveness, and he will forgive us and cleaness us from all unrighteousness. For we are the "sons of God," heirs to his kingdom and children of light.

One night I had a dream: I saw a mountain of great slabs of concrete and twisted iron rods meshed together. Above that were heavy clouds of darkness and beyond that a city. I was under that great mountain of concrete, crawling on my knees and trying to find a way out. At that moment I cried out to the Lord in despiration. Then suddenly I could see a light shinning from a small opening, just ahead of me big enough for me to crawl through. As I neared that small opening, I reached out my hand and someone grasped it. I knew instantly that it was Jesus!!! He helped me out of that terrible place and brought me into the light of day. As I stood on my feet, I looked down and I could see that I was wearing a white rob clean and white, and ahead of me was a path that lead to a the most wonderful light, the light of God. My body was very weak and shaky, covered with scrapes and bruises, but Jesus put his arm around me and lifted me up onto the path and told me not to worry, that everything would work out and that he would help me heal the pain and shame of what I had gone through. Then he stopped before the light and told me to walk into it. I had to put my hand over my brow, because the light of God was so bright, much brighter then the sun. I then entered into that magnificant light of God."

After that dream, my attitude changed and I was a new person that had rededicated my life to God in a fresh new way. Many of my family noticed the change in me and I have grown from that experience ever since, because God healed my heart in that dream and took me from the darkness into the most wonderful light of God, that I had ever seen. Praise God!!!

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light, (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth), and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible. For it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Ephesians 5:8-14 NIV.

I am trying, Carolyn, And sometimes I feel lightened, But then Something else come up and I feel all the weight again Plus whateve new hits. I guess the answer is to Just keep giving it back.

One thing I have done is to get a shoebox and write my "concern" or prayer on a piece of paper and put it in the box and put it somewhere..closet, under the bed..
I called it my God Box..and when that thing came to "mind" again, I would remember that
I had already given it to God. The box can get mighty full..but that's a good thing.

Molly~i will definately remember in my prayers. We all need each others support to get through life and the trials it can give us. having just found peace and forgiveness myself, I know it a wonderous thing. Who would have thought just forgiving someone for something they did would make your soul feel so free. You can get through anything, you've got God holding your hand!

Sometimes I don't feel fearfully and wonderfully made. There are days when I feel a disappointment to God, a frustation,a prodicalthat He's rather not see come home. Those are bad days, and I admit I fall prey to them way too often
Tonight at church I watched a sculptor take a lump of clay and sculp it lovingly and skillfully into an image of Jesus.I knew what she was going to do, yet when his feathers emerged, I found myself moved to tears. Delight filled my heart as I thought, I know Him, I recognize those features!
As I watched her work, I felt God whispering into my spirit, "This is how I made you. You were a lump of unformed substance. I sculpted your face out of clay, my fingers formed your cheekbones, your nose, the shape of your eyes. And when your face emerged, I smiled, because I already knew you. I delited in you, because I created you so carefully".
In Psalm 139, David said:
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I made you in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depth of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
When I think of my life as a book that has already been written, I'm even more moved. it makes me wonder how I can ever despair or question God, how I can ever lose my trust that He will awnser my prayers, how I can ever fear or worry. If God knows me by name, if He knows me by touch, if He knows the number of days ordained for me on this earth, if He wrote the book of my life and knows what will happen on all future pages, if He can see around corners and over hills and knows what's coming...what is there ever to fear?
Yet, I do sometimes, and He knows it. I fear and worry and cry out and question...and He understands because He knit my personality in just this way. He gave me a questioning mind, an emotional heart, a cautious spirit. And He's not finished with me yet.
He's still sculpturing, still editing, still knitting...and when I let Him mold me in that special way, when I succumb to His loving, skillful, strong, and sometimes harsh fingers, I become more like His image. I begin to take on the features of my Creator, the one who knows me by name, the one who took on human flesh because sonething had to be done about my sins, Someone's blood had to be shed. Someone had to die, I was that precious to Him.
And so are you. God knows when you sit or when you rise. He precives your thoughts from afar. He discerns your going out and your lying down. He is fimiliar with all your ways, Before a word is formed is on your tongue, He knows it completely, He hems you in-behind and before: He has laid his hand upon you. He created your inmost being and knit you together in your mother's womb. We-you and I- are fearfully and wonderfully made His works are wonderful
No mistakes, No regrets. No susprises. I think He wanted me to tell you that today.

Better than yesterday! LOL

My Roof was damaged in the hurricane (

) force winds we had yesterday( In OHIO

) but not nearly as bad as many of my neighbors. And we were all Blessed that the thunderstorms and expected heavy rains never came.

We had power restored by the wee hours and all around, considering the damage surrounding us, we were very blessed!

Molly glad you are ok and there was only minor damage to your home. That hurricane really went far up into the states didn't it? Ohio is far from our Gulf Coast here.
It missed us but sure did do alot of damage to Galvaston and Houston and other places surrounding there. It will take them years to get back to normal.
Our city is still rebuilding after Ivan hit us three years ago. It just takes time to get back to normal.

I'm Cat~...I'm new here and haven't actually started my plan yet. I'm going to start Atkins on Monday along with my husband. I just wanted to say I love your little siggy quotes on Bi-po... very cute and oh so true! You hang in there, girl. One thing I cling to when I'm have one of those days is the phrase..."This too, shall pass".
And it always does. Just cling to the Rock until the flood waters recede... Cat~

Molly, yes the winds can get bad at times. We have had them alot stronger than that here during hurricanes and it scares me death. I don't know why some people down on the coast don't evacuate like they are told to do when a hurricane comes our way. We leave and get out its way. Earthly goods can be replaced but your life cannot.
Is it that unusual for you all to get that high of winds in Ohio? I think you get snow where you are don't you?

Hi Catarina, nice to see you here and on our Daily Devotionals. Did you get any of hurricane Ike where you are in Texas? Hope not but I have been praying for all of you there in Texas anyway. I seen on the news what damage it had done. Thats what we looked like here when Ivan hit us a few years back.
Catarina I think it is so nice that you and your husband are doing Atkins together. My husband never gains weight and eats anything he wants. Wish my body would be like that. I gain weight if I look at food.

I have been praying about my diet and just talking to God about it and this has helped me so much. I can just carry on a conversation with God about my weight like He is right here sitting in the same room with me (really He is, He is always with me). I feel so comfortable taking to God and tellling Him about my day, my worries, my goals and dreams and anything else that is on my mind that day. This helps me relax and helps me to think about what I eat before I just go and chomp it down without even relizing what I ate. I feel more relaxed about my eating, I feel a peace now that once I did not feel.
I know its my growing in the Lord and the Spirit of God with me.

Will check back in later. I do try to answer all my posts at least once a day and sometimes more if I can. God Bless.

I feel a lot better right now. I have been trying to keep my Bible near, and for every worry as it pops into my head I send it up in prayer. It has really helped to keep God in the forefront of my mind where he belongs, but often gets poshed aside for daily worries and concerns.

We have had them alot stronger than that here during hurricanes and it scares me death. I don't know why some people down on the coast don't evacuate like they are told to do when a hurricane comes our way. We leave and get out its way. Earthly goods can be replaced but your life cannot. Is it that unusual for you all to get that high of winds in Ohio? I think you get snow where you are don't you? Hi Catarina, nice to see you here and on our Daily Devotionals. Did you get any of hurricane Ike where you are in Texas? Hope not but I have been praying for all of you there in Texas anyway. I seen on the news what damage it had done. Thats what we looked like here when Ivan hit us a few years back. Catarina I think it is so nice that you and your husband are doing Atkins together. My husband never gains weight and eats anything he wants. Wish my body would be like that. I gain weight if I look at food. I have been praying about my diet and just talking to God about it and this has helped me so much. I can just carry on a conversation with God about my weight like He is right here sitting in the same room with me (really He is, He is always with me). I feel so comfortable taking to God and tellling Him about my day, my worries, my goals and dreams and anything else that is on my mind that day. This helps me relax and helps me to think about what I eat before I just go and chomp it down without even relizing what I ate. I feel more relaxed about my eating, I feel a peace now that once I did not feel. I know its my growing in the Lord and the Spirit of God with me. Will check back in later. I do try to answer all my posts at least once a day and sometimes more if I can. God Bless.

I feel a lot better right now. I have been trying to keep my Bible near, and for every worry as it pops into my head I send it up in prayer. It has really helped to keep God in the forefront of my mind where he belongs, but often gets poshed aside for daily worries and concerns. Thank you all so very much for your prayer.
