Emotional Well Being

[Just a back story, first!] Hi. I've been on a low carbohydrate diet before and lost ~25 lbs..down to 150 from 175. Well, on down the road..I am back at 175 from a lack of athleticism and a poor diet (McDonald's at lunch every day for my first full on Freshman semester at college...so I could eat with my boyfriend..Lol. Stupid things for love, I guess?) .
Anyway..so..I started my low carbohydrate diet on the 6th..and was doing good..
until just now. I just ate a big full brownie. Oh..OH IT WAS SO GOOD!
But now I feel really terrible about eating it. :/ I mean..really terrible.

Hi Treeteeg!
I know how you feel, I've done that and I'm sure others here have done the same, but different foods.
But you know, it doesn't do any good to dwell on it. It's best to say, "okay I ate it, I learned my lesson, now I'm going to go back on lc and move forward and just continue on."

To continue to feel terrible sometimes only makes it harder to get back on plan and then we may continue to eat badly because we feel like "what the heck, I've messed up I might as well eat whatever now."

At least in my case. But as much as I've eaten off plan, I get right back on it and keep forging ahead.

I know we don't know each other, but I feel if I can eat off plan and get back on plan, you can do it too!! Not that I eat off plan all the time, but you know what I'm saying.

Don't give up okay!! You'll be fine!!

I know dieting is difficult, all you can do is take it one meal at a time... Forget the brownie and move on to your next healthy choice... The bottom line is that you are trying to become healthier...you can do this...

Yeah...me either...yesterday was a wash....can you say major binge on cake!!!! I guess the critics would say why would you eat something like that anyway, this is a way of life.... Well life got in the way yesterday and I fell back into stress eating...it is difficult to overcome, although since March it hasn't happened that often... The journey is so long and difficult and when you feel like you're changing your life by exercising, something you didn't do six months ago, and eating well then the weight should just fall by the way side.... But it doesn't and then you start wondering what you are doing wrong, and tweaking, and experimenting...and you still find yourself not losing... It's a difficult process and I give kudos to anyone who has done it and kept it off!
