How much are you hoping to lose? You don't sound chubby to me, though I am not sure of weights for that height, I am 5'6.

I can't answer your question on that but I do want to warn you that when you start and exercise program you can actually gain some weight at first. Your body is holding on to fluid to protect all those muscles that are newly being used.

So don't weigh right away!

Good luck, be proud that you are doing it now rather than being like a lot of us and struggling through chubby teen years just to become obese adults.

Blessings!

Bumkin: First of all, don't starve yourself..then you will be in real trouble. I think you need to take the time to develop a plan that you can last you..not just until school starts.

Honestly, you probably look fine..and the exercising will help..(keep it up). However, you might be able to drop some weight before the 18th. I think 5-8 solid pounds would be an amazing weightloss for that period of time. And, you would be surprised how those pounds will make a difference...Good luck and don't starve.

To maintain a healthy weight, you must minimize carbs, eat lots of fat and some protein in the form of meat. About 2-3% carbs, 75-85% fat and the rest protein. No processed things. Sometimes, cutting salt helps.
