Ladies, we made it through the Hurricane just fine... We only got 1 3/4 inches of rain and we were without power for 12 hrs. Thank God the power came on before we went to sleep last night so we wouldn't burn-up... God is Good...

Patty, that's wonderful news!!! I just knew you'd be safe, 'cause God told me you would. Praise God!!! Diana, I had a great weekend, thanks!!! I know what you're saying when you get down on your weight, it's hard sometimes and I've been struggling myself. I realize that diets for me don't work, but I'm trying another method of approach, thinwithin.com. I bought the book called, "Get Thin, Stay Thin" by Arthur W. Halliday, MD and Judy Wardell Halliday, RN who are christians and teach intuitive eating, eating when your hungry and stopping when your full. They say that one of the reasons we overeat is because we're looking for intimacy. Got to go to work, Have a great day, Luv Tammy

Good Morning everyone.
Life is much better. I have been struggling so much lately, especially since my DH asked the Lord to save him. He did not tell me about it until we were pulling into the driveway at church, right before he told everyone else. I think I felt left out. I told him that I felt like he didn't trust me enough to tell me about it or that he was even thinking about asking for salvation. On Sunday, I even walked out of church because I felt so guilty for being angry with him. I stewed on this all weekend and until Wednesday night. After talking with you all and looking at the miracles in my life I knew it was time for a change. So that night I told the Lord I was sorry for being upset with my DH and that I didn't know what was making me so angry really. I just knew right then that I was angry because the Lord has been calling my name for months now and I was too afraid to answer his call. I was afraid that I would not live up to what I thought a Christian should be. I asked him to take it away, to forgive my sins, to be my Lord and set my feet on the path that he has set for me. Instantly, the anger with Dh and with myself was gone. I had such a wonderful day yesterday. Yes, things still went wrong and crazy but I looked at things differently. I was no longer angry over tiny little things, my "spicey" language was toned WAY down (don't think I even said a cuss word yesterday) and I was happier. Last night I sat down with my DH and we talked about the entire situation. I explained things to him and it finally made sense to him as to why I was angry. We talked about the Lord for one of the first times together as a couple and it was a wonderful feeling to know that we were both going to have eternal life together. He was surprised that I had already asked the Lord for forgiveness. Life has new meaning and I am looking forward to being able to share it with my family and all of you. Hi Terri!
God is so wonderful! We don't have to do anything to be saved, absolutely nothing except believe and confess that Jesus died for us, was buried and rose again, which is the Gospel of our Salvation!!!  He doesn't expect us to get cleaned up, or change ourselves before being saved. If we did that, we wouldn't have a need for a Savior. But God takes us just as we are, we don't have to worry about being under the law anymore because we're under grace!! We just have to believe that He did what He said He did! Now what takes place in our Christian lives is so wonderful!! What the law (ten commandments) couldn't do, Jesus fulfilled. And now we have the Holy Spirit who immediatlely enters our spirit and begans to do a work in us. So many things take place at this moment too. We are redemmed, santicified, justified and forgiven. All at the same time!! Isn't that wonderful!! And sin has no dominon over us either!! WE are dead to it!!! Whoohoo!!! And if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father and that is our Lord and Savior!!! He intercedes on our behalf!!! That is awesome!! I would really recommend reading the first 3 chapters of Romans. That tells us what takes place in the believers life at the moment they believe on Him. Let me know if you have any questions. Paty glad you are ok and the strom did not damage anything.
We fared it ok to here where I live. We really wasn't in its path like you were but we sure got some high winds and rain from the feeder bands coming right acoss us. Now we just have to watch those other storms that are out there. I think they may head up the Atlantic Coast though and leave us alone here on the Gulf Coast. Alot of the ones who left their homes back in Mississippi, Louisanna and stayed in sheltes and hotels here started leaving yesterday to go back home. I pray that God has spared their homes. Lets all say a prayer for them today ok.

I have been reading pretty in depth in Romans the past couple of days. The verses from Cor. that you sent me towards have been so up lifting also. I had my Dh read those last night too. Life sure looks a lot more nice when you know that the Lord is standing right beside you. |

Terri Praise God!!!!! I am so very happy that you gave your Heart to God and Honey there is nothing in this life like being a Christian. It is just so wonderful and you have all the peace in the world and I am so thrilled that you and your Hubby is walking through life together as Christians. Ladies, I went in for my yearly Mammogram this morning and praying that I am alright. I had to have 2 done last year, because they found something, but it was just a water cyst. Please pray with me that my tests turn out normal...
I am so happy to hear about Terri and her Hubby accepting Christ that I am jumping for JOY!!!!! Lets all sing God's Praises!!!! |

Good afternoon everyone. What a beautiful day the Lord has given us. Even though it is overcast here and it may rain, the son is still shining down on us! It is wonderful to be able to see goodness in it all.
I have a dear friend that I hope you can all pray for. He has been my best friend since we were born basically. Dh and I have been asking for prayer for him at church also. the only sickness he has is alcoholism. He just married a nice woman who has two daughters and they are wanting to adopt twin boys. We are hopeful that the power of the Lord can call him in and help him find his way. We have been trying to get him to understand that you don't have to clean yourself up before coming to the Lord, that the Lord will clean you up, you can't do it alone. He is ashamed of his ways so I think maybe that is a step in the right direction. His name is Chris and needs all the prayers we can send for him. Dh and I have a few money involved decisions this weekend. I am praying that they Lord will help give us the answer as to what we should do. Dh says he already knows that god is with us in making the decision final. i am trying to have faith that the lord will provide for us the knowledge to make the right choice. Star thank you for praying for me.
Sometimes I think this arthritis I have is a family curse because it has been in my family for at least three generations I know of. I have been praying to God to break this curse that it has on me and my other family members to. I seen my mother and grandmother go through it and it isn't a pleasant either to see someone you love hurt so bad. At least the doctors now have some sort of treatment for it and can keep the pain down some even through it cannot be cured. I know one day I will be healed from it, maybe not here on earth but in Heaven I know I will be healed of it. Everything else is ok with me today. Been going through my closet earlier and cleaning out things, got so many clothes that I never wear half of them so I have decided to give them to the thrift store. Still haven't finished it all yet because I have to take my time cleaning it out but eventually it will get done. I move slow theses days anymore. Not like I use to be because of my arthritis. I am really feeling cruddy today... I am about to cave and eat whatever I want, but then I know that is not the right thing to do... I hope that is a sign that I am losing weight. I had a bunch of treats in front of my face for a week, but I didn't cave. Just feeling sorry for myself today, I guess. On a happier note, I want all you to have a great weekend...
