Unlike most people at my church I like our president elect. I went and heard him speak. He had very good points and I believe God will help him along his journey. Without getting political (cause we'll get in trouble) My theory is People should be allowed to choose to do things whether it is personally something we believe in or not. It is not up to us to judge women for making choices with their own bodies. We do not have to like it but in the end they will be the one standing before the Lord for judgment not me. I don't have to answer for what they choose to do. Thank the Lord for that. hopefully you get the just of what I am trying to say without stepping over that political line.

The Lord see that the Kings and leaders of our nation are put into place. We have to trust in him that he is full filling his plan. And most importantly pray for our leaders. They need our hearts and prayers with them.

Onto other things. I finally got the baptism CD in the mail yesterday. There some really nice pics on it. I will upload a few this weekend to share. I only wish that my DD had been in more of them and that there was one of DH, myself and our DD together. But that is my own fault. I should've requested that I guess. Plus my parents aren't in any of them. DD is only in 1. There were 561 pics taken. It does make me sad. The day wasn't about pictures it was about coming to the Lord but I do wish I would've had more of my immediate family.

We are trying to find things to share for thanksgiving. Poems, etc. Anyone have a reading, poem etc that they would like to share with me? I am going to look online and see what I can find, but many times the best things are shared via friends.

I hope everyone is well today. It seems like many people here are already getting colds/sinus problems. I am trying to find some natural supplements to take to try to keep sinus problems at bay. I have even had to go to a chiropractor and have my face/sinuses adjusted. It was weird but it did help some. Anyone have any at home remedies or ideas?

Well...I should go get dressed and head off to town. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Terri, I agree with you 100%. The thing is you do have your own opinion, and there is a freedom of speech law, but unfortunately you have to keep some things to yourself. Christians forget to read there bible and judge others when they don't have the same political and religious beliefs. Politics and religion don't mix. I don't consider myself to be religious, but spiritual, having a personal relationship with God. I chose who I discuss my opinions, politics and beliefs with and I'm careful who I confide in when it comes to christianity. That's sad, but some older christians are very opinionated. I find though that the younger generation of christians are more openminded and freer to discuss things. That's the way it should be.

And you know what? We may even be out of here too! The Lords' coming any time now, that is what our "blessed hope" is anyway. We are in this world, but we are not of this world, Thank God!!

We are told to pray for our officials and leaders and that's what I'll do as I always have.

I to try not to discuss politics on the board here. I know everyone has a different opinion and thats ok with me because our country is a free one and we can say and believe anything we want.
The main thing is that we all believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for us.
I love the Lord so much and I know where I will be one day when I leave this earth,, so politics or any other thing cannot stop me from loving God.

Not much with me today, just got through picking up the house some, had the grand kids again last night and they seem to mess up faster than I can clean up. But we enjoy them.

A simple home remedy for cough, cold, and sinuses....................

1 T honey (warm)
1 t. cinnamon powder

3 X day

Simple, but has worked wonders for me.

Good aFternoon everyone! Hope this is turning out to be a great weekend thus far for everyone!

Jeanne~I am going to give that a try! I have such issues with my sinuses. Anything that is natural I am up for trying. And with just honey and cinnamon I don't think I have to worry about it tasting bad either! I have taken almost everything OTC and it just seems like nothing really helps. Thanks for sharing!

I am going to try to get my kitchen really cleaned today. DH said he'll bring in my new stove so I can control the oven temp when I bake.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you'll had a blessed Sunday. It was a Memorial Veteran Service for our vets, who will be honored on Rememberance Day which is this tuesday, November 11. A few of us forgot to wear our poppies, but I'll be wearing mine on that day when we stand in silent for 2 minutes at the Eleventh Hour. Its traditional afterwards to take the poppies off our lepals, but most people now adays leave them on for the day. Our special service started with a man playing the 'pipes' and wearing the traditional scotish costume. And man did he play!!! He played out 2 songs, one being 'Amazing Grace.' Then left and we continued with our worship team singing hymns and other songs of praise. We usually sing praise songs and then we have a time of worship, and then comes the sermon.

Our intern Pastor who is taking over our church, until we find a new pastor, preached on the 97th Psalm, which was fitting for the Memorial Service of Today. It's so beautiful. Just read what it says, from the NIV translation:

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne; Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols--worship him, all you gods! Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgements, O Lord. For you O Lord, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. Hello everyone. Hope you are having a good day today.
God is so good to us isn't He?
have been praying for a dear freind of mine and today she called and told me that she is feeling so much better after her doctor finally found som medication that would help ease her fibromyolgia.
I know God has lead this doctor to find it to help her.
I believe God uses doctors to help his people feel and get better. Thats why He gave them the talent to become a doctor in the first place.
He gives us all a talent and its up to us to find that talent and use it for the benfit of helping others no matter what the talent is.

Our weather is just beautiful today. I love the sunny warm weather and love hearing the birds and watching the butterflies. We have bird feeders all around in the yard and even a butter house to. This last spring we had baby finches in the little bird house we have hanging under the palm tree in the back yard. It was so nice to watch the parent birds go back and forth feeding the little ones in the nest.
I love all of Gods nature, it is just so beautiful. Only God could have created that beauty.

Not much else going on with me today. Just taking it easy. We stayed so busy all week-end and I really got my work out to. Walked more this this week-end thtan I have in a long time. My legs today are feeling it to, but I wanted to try and walk some. I did have my wheel chair with me in case I needed it and I did use it some but walked some to.

My name is Ronda I have a prayer request. I am filled with such depression and sadness. My husband and I were trying to get out of a hole money wise and now we were almost there and my husband lost his job. I feel like I am tired of hanging on and never getting anywhere. We struggle all the time and it is getting hard. We wanted to move out of the house we are renting it is in a bad neighborhood. I am searching for God and I feel at times he is not there. I ask for prayers for my husband and for homto find a job and for things to get better. a added note I just found out my sister is doing drugs and her sins fater tok him away. She has a little girl and I am sacred for her. I pray god looks after them and protects them.That he will show me how to help her .

Terri, it is in God's plan fro Obama to be our president. Nothing happens without it being in God's plan... There is a reason for him to be our president and I pray that God leads him and that he will be a good one for us...that Obama seeks God for wisdom and that we will be able to get out of the rescission that we are in, before it becomes a depression. God is Good and he is watching over us...

I to am praying for Obama. God knows what He is doing and will watch out for our country. I just pray that Obama will come to see that our nation is a Godly one. Some say he will be real bad for us but I am praying that is not so.
