Hi Sistas in Christ,

Staretta, yes, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That exactly right!!! We need to put on the garment of praise every morning and especially for the spirit of heaviness to get us through each day and each trial that we face in this life.

Mary, I like what you said about God's garden. It reminds me of Job in the bible who was a righteous man, and God placed a hedge around him. But, when it was the time of testing, God took the protection of that hedge away from Job, but Job did not curse God in any way. Satan had said to God, here's a righteous man that does right in your sight, but when you take this hedge away from him and disaster strikes, he will curse you. But Satan was wrong and God proved that Job was indeed righteous, and all that Job lost in the testing, God blessed Him by replacing what Job had lost and provided him with much abundance. Praise Him!!!

Hi everyone I hope you guys remember me it was been a long time since I have been here. I don't have the internet at home as some of you know. I got laid of in feb.then got a new job, work got slow and being a new hire I got laid off again. But I know God is in control and he will take care of us. I have gained all of my weight back. Anyway just wanted to stop by and say hi ..it seems you guys seem to be doing good. I hope I get to check in in a few days I am at a friends house.

Worldchanger!!! Oh sista, I haven't forgot you, dear beloved friend. Please, come and post here with us. I know that libraries have computers that you can use and post from there. I've also gained all my weight back, so don't feel that you're the only one. I know things are a bit rough for you and your family right now, but God has you all in His loving hands. He will sustain you through this and He will give you a job that is perfect for you. I truly believe that!!! Be encouraged to come and post here with us. I'm hoping to hear from you soon.

Morning Ladies,

I'm finishing up my decaf and getting ready for work. It raining cats and dogs outside, just pouring. Yikes!!! Will be like this for the rest of the week. It's still dark this morning, but I'm hoping that it won't stay that way for long. I still love these fall colors here on the west coast of B.C., 'cause they're so beautiful, especially the dark reds. There's a strong wind warning for the marine forcast and our area usually getts the wind blown our way. Maybe it will blow these heavy grey clouds away and bring the sunshine.

Hello eveyone. Just wanted to see what yoiu are up to today.

Worldchanger I remember you from it seems like years ago. I have been on here on this board since 2001 myself. Sorry you lost your job, I will be praying for you.
As far as regaining the weight try not worry and just go on with each day and do the best you can to lose it again. We are all here for you. I to have had some struggles with mine and still am fighting with it. I am not active like I once was because of some major health problems but like I said, just go each day and do the best you can.

Star it looks like rain here today also for us, right now its cloudy and getting dark skies but the rain will come soon.

I went outside earlier and picked up my scarecrows I had sitting on the bench in the front yard and put them in the Garage.
Guess now we all can get ready for Thanksgiving. My sister is suppose to come from Tallahassee to spend the week with us at that time so I am praying that she can make it. Last year she got sick and was in the hospital and could not make it.

Not much else with me today so God Bless you all.

Hi star thanks for your prayers I will post when I can I really need all the help I can get with this weight thing. I feel so sluggish with all this weight back on.Sorry to hear you gain the weight back but you will get it off again.

Hi ladies glad to be back for at least a few days my friend is out of town and my mom is dog sitting and house sitting for her so that is how I am using her computer. I recieved a longgg e-mail from berta just kidding about it being long I loved it.... She is doing good working part-time now. and struggling with her weight also but she will get it back down I know. got to go

Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm getting used to my new eyes and it's nice not to need reading glasses. It will take a little longer to see how my left eye does, but I'm praying that it will adjust well with my good dominant right eye. I'm still glad that I got my enhancement done and there are no regrets.

Worldchanger, I'm glad that Berta got a hold of you. Thankgoodness that she's okay and doing well. I was hoping that she would come back with this thread. Actually I'm praying that she comes back, God willing. She was such a blessing and comfort to me. You can tell her I said that.

My congrads to all you Americans!!! With Obama being the new president, it's a history in the making and I'm praying that God will direct him in getting America out of this recession. Our canadian priminister was voted back in for another 4 years term. That makes me happy because He's a christian and I'm hoping the American and Canadian relations will improve, making a safer place to live for both countries.

This morning when I awoke I turned on my radio to my favorite christian and this song was playing and it remined me so much of my mother. She would sing this song everytime she was in the kitchen cooking, I can just hear her now singing it and seeing her with that apron on that she always wore. Oh what wonderful memories.

I have now been singing this song all morning and cannot get it off my mind so I wanted to post the lyrics to it so you all can share in it with me today.

I know you must have some wonderful memories of your past to, itsn't it great that we can recall them when-ever we want to. I think memories are Gods way of keeping our love ones with us forever even though they are gone on to a better place. Love is powerful and memories are made from love.

Hi ya ladies!

I have had a pretty good day today. My body didn't hurt much and I felt like I could do a lot today. Too bad I was at work! I pray that I feel as good tomorrow so that I can get my house cleaned out. I think I am going to just start throwing stuff out that we haven't used in a while. My clutter seems endless. But I have to get it cleaned so that I can decorate for Christmas. Not too much longer until it's time to put up the tree.

With the election over many people at our church are going to be feeling negative about it. When I said that I had went to see Obama when he was here in Ohio I was talked down too. So DH is going to read the verses from John 8. About the person that has not sinned casting the first stone. They were reading from 1 Tim ch2 on the radio this morning. I know he'll be led to the right passages. He and I discussed it today and think it is a shame that people that are Christian are the first ones to be judging. And we all know that we are not the one to pass judgment n anyone.

MARY~I love that song. Have you listened to the Alan Jackson CD that has it on there? Whenever I get to drive our car I always listen to the CD.

wanttobethinagain, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know what it's like to lose a job and cry about it, but I think God has something way better in store for you and your DH. Call upon Him and lay it all at His feet. Trust in Him, staying close to Him, and He will provide the financial need and the provision, and in turn send you a blessing. I truly believe that!!! I will keep you and your DH in my prayers.

Recently a woman I commute with who's a single mother was in need of a place to live. She had used up Her 2 months notice and her landlord was harrassing her, shouting at the top of His voice outside her place losing it!!! She then told me all about it and was in a panic, 'cause she had to find a place "quick" for her and her daughter to live. Oh, what a terrible siduation!!! Well, I listened to her woes and concerns, and said that I would pray for her. She said that would be okay. Well she had checked out a few places, but to no avail. Then a place came up that was small, but beautiful and was in a good location. I said, "have faith, I will pray and you will get that place!!!" Then I said, "because I get results when I pray." She said okay, keep praying. Then I prayed to God, "God, hear my prayer concerning this women, for your glory!!!, amen. Well, guess what? She got the place and is moving in tomorrow, and Has been given another job offer too. Praise God!!! This women is so moved by what God has done for her and wants me to pray about the job offer too!!! She said, "keep praying!!!" I said I will, and He will provide. Praise God!!! He hears us when we call and sends us a blessing!!! He is so merciful and full of grace. He has provided for this women and her daughter and He can do it for you, amen!!!

Terri, so good to hear from you!!! I'm glad you had a good day. Sorry to hear that some of your fellow christians had judged you for seeing your new president. You know, He was raised by His grandmother? He is the first black president and has made history, being the 44th president of the united states? That's something. I had wished that McCain had won, but then I knew that He was too old, eventhough He had more experience in politics. I believe God allowed it and we should pray that He will guide Obama in the months ahead, because He has a big job to do.

Mary, that wonderful that you can still hear your loving mother's voice singing this song. It's beautiful!!! It's so comforting to know when a parent is in Heaven waiting for us to come home. I know that my grandparents are. You know, my grandfather was subborn for many years concerning God, but just 2 weeks before he died he got scared and had my aunt pray for his salvation. He then quite drinking cold turkey and then he passed away. I'm so thankful too for my faithful grandmother who stood beside all those hard years. She was the one who brought christianity into our family. God bless her for that!!! 'cause she is being rewarded for her faithfulness to our family. Praise God!!!
