Go moring everyone. Whats everyone up to today? As for me I am still resting my back, its still pretty sore but as long as I rest it am ok, just moving around bothers it.
I do miss Patty to, be glad when she gets back.

Its so nice to have Cletra join us isn't it? Its just wonderful when Gods children can get together and share His word together. I wish I could meet all of you, you all seem to be such wonderfu friends.

I have a poem for you all today, I thought it was sort of cute but nice..
God Bless.

-------------------------------------------
Did Jesus use a modem at the Sermon on the Mount?
Did He ever try a broadcast fax to send His message out?
Did the disciples carry beepers as they went about their route?
Did Jesus use a modem at the Sermon on the Mount?

Did Paul use a Laptop with lots of RAM and ROM?
Were his letters posted on a BBS at Paul.Rome.Com?
Did the man from Macedonia send an E-Mail saying "Come?"
Did Paul use a Laptop with lots of RAM and ROM?

Did Moses use a Joystick at the Parting of the Sea?
And a Satellite Guidance Tracking System to show him where to be?
Did he write the law on tablets or are they really on CD?
Did Moses use a joystick at the parting of the Sea?

Did Jesus really die for us one day upon a tree?
Or was it just a hologram or technical wizardry?
Can you download the Live Action Video Clip to play on your PC?
Did Jesus really die for us one day upon a tree?

Have the wonders of this modern age made you question what is true?
How a single man in a simple time could offer life anew?
How a sinless life, a cruel death then a glorious life again
Could offer more to a desperate world than the inventions of man?

If in your life, the voice of God is sometimes hard to hear.
With other voices calling His doesn't touch your ear.
Then set aside your laptop and modem and all your fancy gear.
And open your Bible, open your heart
And let your Father draw you near.

Welcome to our thread and God Bless You... I see that our group is really growing and I have been praying for this, that God will send us wonderful Christian ladies and he is answering my prayers... You are really going to love it here.

Right now I am cross stitching a Christmas present for my Whitney... My oldest granddaughter that will be 21 in Feb. My goodness where has the time gone and I ache so bad for my Grand babies to be little again, but I know that isn't reality so I cherish all the time that I have had with them and the time that future brings...

I will be back more after Christmas when I get this project finished, and right now I am checking-in from time to time...

Have a very blessed weekend ladies...

Hi Patty, You are really working hard on the cross stitching, take rests in between so you won't wear out your fingers. thats what I have to do when I am sewing.
I bet the view over the lake was beautiful, its pretty like that here at our beaches. We rode to the beach yesterday and waded in the ocean some. We only live about 10 minutes from it so we ride down there often.

Cletra, how is your day doing? I see you are from New York, is it getting cold there already? We got some cooler weather the last few days but cooler to us is down in the 70's.

We went to early church this morning because my hubby had to go to the job site, the job is running behind and they are trying to get caught up. So we took in early church and then came home so he could go to work. I don't like him working on
Sundays but sometimes he has to.

Think I will try to get in some of crafts cut out. I am making some of my friends alittle craft to give them for Christmas. I am making them place mat sets for thir kitchen table. They always marvel over the ones I make for my own table so I thought it might be a nice gift they could use all year round. One is with chickens on it and two others are with apples on them and another one is with sunflowers on it. I try to make them out of what they decorate their kitchen in. I make place mats and napkins to match and I get my hubby to cut out some wooden napkin rings and I paint them to go with the place mat set. They also match the sets, I make chickens and apples and sunflower napkin rings. I have my sewing room so full that I can barely move around in it anymore. One day I may clean it out....
I have been sewing most my life and make most everything for our home, curtians, draperies, table clothes, decorative pillows etc. Use to make alot to sell but don't do that anymore because its to hard on my bad back to sit for to long to sew anymore like I use to do. But I still love it and just sew when I feel like it now.
My sewing is my God given talent because I am not good in much nothing else except that. I do like flower arrangeing to and do some of that to but thats all.
What are some of your God given talents? Share them with us if you want? I love sharing things like this with all my christian friends. I know patty cross stitches.

Take care everyone and have a great day in the Lord.

Mary, my heart broke when I watched that video. It give me a climpse of how much a father loved his son, but chose to sacrifice his life to save others. We cannot imagine how much the Heavenly Father suffered when Jesus was crucified on the cross. But we can understand why He did it, although we truly did not deserve it, God loved us anyway. Despite our shortcomings and sinful natures. God is so merciful!!!

God Bless,

Mary,

You made me want to get my plastic canvas out and make something ! I USE to be good with plastic cross-stitch but ended up with carpel-tunnel. Now my hands go numb so much. Also played the guitar. Just sing now (with my husband holding me up). Kind of like Moses when they held his arms up !

Home-made gifts mean more to me than any expensive gift. (I've saved everything my
son ever made me.)

I do a greeting-card ministry that I enjoy. I'm also trying to learn how to make my own
cards on my computer. Just need to find time with my son to teach me. I'm still so
NEW at this computer. Most everything I do is by trial and error. And I can only type for so long before my fingers go numb. I've had my hands worked on but now arthritis
has also set in. So I'm pretty slow, but keep on keeping on ! And give God praise for
as much as I can do !

Blessings,

Jeanne

Ah Mary, I wish that I lived close to you so I could learn to make some of those place mats. My kitchen is in the Apple motif and I have apple stuff everywhere in there. Apples and Frogs are my favorite... I have a lot of frogs outside and some inside...

Hi everyone3!
Yes it is so nice to have a good christian husband, I have one to and we will be married for 41 years on Oct. 28. I think when you are married to a christian mate and live by Gods word that you will have a happy and long marriage. We attended church together before we were even married and still attend together and raised our two children in the church to and now our daughter raises her two children in the church. Our son passed away due to cancer in 2002 so he is with the Lord now.
God is wonderful to us when we follow and live by His rules and laws.

Its a beautiful day here today, alittle cooler than normal but feels good, its in the 70's, low for us here.

Will check back in later, have a great day.

Hello Ladies!! I'm back!!!

This was our local state park's Halloween weekend, which is my favorite weekend to camp. I have looked forward to it since last year. It seems to have went by so fast! It was nice to decorate the camp campground and see all the little trick or treaters. The children make it so much fun. Emily even put on her costume to help me hand out candy. We didn't even really have any major arguements....the Lord was definately on my side this weekend! It rained like crazy Friday afternoon/night but was beautiful every since. I can't wait to do it again next year.

Dh is sort of excited, eventhough he tries to act as if he's not. He was asked if he would like to start reading scripture at church. Twice during Sunday services someone reads a little scripture of their choice. He has been asking me a million questions about it so I think he is pretty happy about it. Please pray that the Lord gives him the knowledge to pick the right scriptures to share.

I am hoping that my baptism photos get here in the next few days and if they come I will post some to share with you all. I am excited to see them, although I will be appaulled by my fattness. I am not going to let that bring my spirit down about that time in my life though.

I am going to have to do some reading and catch up on what everyone has been up too. I am happy to be back with you girls!

Hope everyone is happy and well.

Good Afternoon ladies. I am still very busy and the days are flying by. The times goes by so fast when you cross stitch...

My Whitney called me this afternoon and she is wanting to bring her boyfriend by to meet us. This may be serious. I question the relationship, but who am I to judge. God knows his heart and Whitney has found something in him that she cares a lot about...

Got to get busy again... Have a wonderful evening...

Hello Ladies,

How is everyone? I hope and pray that you're all having a blessed week.

Patty, How's the cross-stitching coming along? Hope you're not working too hard. I will pray that your Whitney and her BF will be directed by God with His mighty hand upon them. We don't always have a say in the choices that our loved ones make, and sometimes we don't approve of what choices they do make, but God knows all about it and we need to trust him to take care of things His way, and in His time.

Terri, Sounds like you had an amazing time camping on the weekend. Wonderful! I will pray that your DH will be a blessing to your church when he reads the scripture. Good to hear that you and Emily got along too. Oh, I can't wait to see your baptismal photos!!! How exciting they will be girlfriend.

Mary and Jeanne, I'm glad that you both have wonderful Christian Husbands, and that God has blessed you in your lives. God is so good to us!!!

Ladies, once again, I'm praying for God to help find me a suitable christian boyfriend, and possible future husand. I would love to have someone who is kind, loves God like I do and is my bestfriend. I'm believing that God will grant my petition(s) in His mighty name, amen. Please pray and agree with me in prayer for this heartfelt petition to be answered by God. I believe that He doesn't want me to be alone. But, sometimes my patience seems to be tested, time and time again. I know it is up to Him and it is in His time, because His timing is perfect. 'Çause He wants the best for me and even I don't want to settle for anything less. Thanks.

Oh, one more thing. I wanted to share with you Ladies about a christian book that I'm reading. It's called, "Healing the Whole Man," [Effective Prayers for Body, Soul and Spirit], by Joan Hunter. About the author: Joan Hunter is truly anointed with the gifts of healing, has over thirty years of experience praying for the sick and brokenhearted, and has seen them healed and set free.
The book asks, why am I ,[or my loved ones], still sick and suffering when God says He wants us to have good health? That is a good question. This book is a easy-to-follow guide that will show you how to: Understand the causes of sickness and disease, 2. Recognize symptoms and the right procedures for Healing, 3. Administer Healing prayers effectively, and 4. Identify God's call on your life.

I was browsing through the book, I found this interesting prayer for obesity: I jumped to page 175 on the subject of Obesity and it said,

How to minister (all commands done in Jesus's name.), [to someone who needs healing from Obesity.]:

1. Lead them in a prayer of repentance for generational curses.
2. Lead them in a prayer of repentance for lifestyle or diet, if necessary
3. Command healing of thyroid or other responsible organ
4. Lay hands on the head and command the "Äppestate" (appetite control center) to be readjusted to the normal level and the weight to return to a correct and healthy range
5. Lead them in a prayer to lay all cares, stress, and worries on the alter of God
6. Command the metabolism to function normally and the person's weight to be within healthy boundaries

Beloved, Dedicated, Diana and thosed I missed!!!

God BLess,
