Morning Ladies,

Terri, I think it's wonderful that you and your DH are preparing to get baptized together. Don't let your cousin and her DH bother you, 'cause it's their problem and not yours. Don't let others take away your joy, but bless them and leave them in God's hands. God knows the hearts of people and whether they are genuine or trying to be like "the Joneses." LOL. But seriously, pray for them that they will stop this nonsense and get their hearts right with God.

Salvation is not to be taken lightly, and being baptized is the next step to take after being saved. Jesus was baptized by John the baptist, and the spirit descended like a dove on his shoulders. Jesus did this as an example for us to follow. Baptism is taking on the new man and leaving the old man behind, confirming that you are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Also communion is not to be taken lightly either, 'cause the cup symbolizes the blood that Christ shed on the cross for the remission of sins, and the bread symbolizes Christ's body that was crucified on the cross for all mankind. Warning, if anyone takes the cup unworthy, he is in danger of getting sick and some might even fall asleep.

Patty, I am praying that hurricane Ike does not come to close to us here or New Orleans either, we all have had enough of hurricanes.
Did you get any damage from Gastuv? we only had some winds and alot of rain thats all.

Mary we were very blessed and only had 1 3/4 inches of rain. Power was out 12 hrs. and we were without phone service for 3 days... We feel very blessed and thank you for your prayers...

I do want to say, that I really appreciate the devotionals that you are doing for us every day... I am starting tomorrow to study. We had company for 6 days and just couldn't devote the right time to it... Not excuses, just been busy with my daughter and grand kids. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing to spread God's Word... Be Blessed !!!!

The kindness to one another in this thread is a miracle. It is so nice to be able to post somewhere where people are honestly caring for one another and being helpful not flaming or sarcastic. I thank the Lord that I have found such wonderful friends.

The hurricane sure does seem to be gearing up strong doesn't it? I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to do so.

I feel like I may have caught a little bug of some kind. I have napped off and on all day and my face is so clogged. I am sure it is allergy, but it is taking a toll on the cleaning that I want to get done.

Mary, Patty, Diana and Terry, I will keep you all in my prayers concerning your health, sicknesses, and safety. We, as Christians, can agree together in prayer that that Hurricane Ike will turn it's course from the Gulf of Mexico, and head into another direction in the mighty name of Jesus. So Ladies, lets agree together that God will do the impossible and grant our petition(s), amen!!!

Good Morning Ladies. I am thanking the Lord this morning for many things, especially taking this stuffiness away! It's a little damp here this morning, but the Lord has given us another day so we'll make it a good one!

They say the hurricane is turning some toward the Gulf. I hope it turns away from all of you homes and families. We'll keep praying on it!

I have much to do today. My house is a mess, really it is. I am hoping the Lord gives me the strength to get much of it done today. I am tired of living in a mess of clutter. I can't do it on my own so i am hoping he'll give me the encouragement to get some things done. I am also hoping to hear about our truck today. It is not great to be paying on a truck that you don't even have. That's enough of that...trying to stay with positive thoughts! They seem to make the day much brighter.

We'll I am going to throw in a CD and get some work done!

Morning,

Well, it's getting cooler in the mornings, and the afternoons have been sunny at highs of between 72 - 80 degrees. Today will be no exception, but I'm enjoying this good weather while it lasts. I've been taking a later lunch at work and will be teaching a staff member, who is really nice, how to knit today, going through the motions of basic knitting for starters. God told me to have lunch with her after she asked me, saying she was lonely and my 'Big boss' heard about it and approved it, praising my efforts. But, I will keep having lunch with my co-workers too, and mix up my lunch schedule with her a couple of days a week to keep the peace. Isn't it wonderful how God works his blessings upon us, when we lest expect it!!!

Patty I admire all your energy you have. I was once like that before I got all this arthritis, wish I could be again. I have to get a cleaning lady to come help me every now and then when my daughter isn't able to come clean for me. All I can do much anymore is polish furniture, cannot vacumn anymore. I do try to make the bed but just cannot make them as neat as i use to do.

Sure glad that hurricane is going away from us. We sure did not need that hitting us did we?

What wonderful news!!! An answered prayer I am sure!

DH and I went out to visit our pastor tonight (he is also my Uncle). We talked about being baptized with him. He thought is was a wise choice for us to wait until our family could be there to witness it. If it takes a while to work out the details that is just something that I am going to be ok with it. We want to do it right and together.

I have to work tomorrow (my one day a week I work) so i should get ready to go to bed. I have to DH's lunch packed also. He had to eat in the cafeteria at work and does not want to do it again.

Terri, that's great news!!! Your uncle sounds like a wise man that has good judgement about things like that.

Oh, that's what I should do is get ready for bed too. I was usually exhausted today and think I've been fighting a "Bug" like you and Patty have been, but without the stuffiness. LOL. Hope you're feeling better.

PLEASE, GOD....EVERYONE that reads this PRAY for one of my babies!

I heard this noise and thought it was the fox but it sounded deeper...I went out and there was a bear! I have never seen a bear in my yard. I live in MD.

Two of my goats were running around the fenced in area and the bear was pacing along it. We ran it off and I thought my other goat was in the barn...she wasn't.

She must of gotten so scared that she pushed through a spot ( tearing the nails out of the wood) and go out. I can't find her.

I heard soft crying and then nothing and I don't know if he got her or not. We had the cops and Animal control out here and they saw no blood but we still can't find my baby!

I bought her and her sister in the house on a cold rainy, March night when the mom didn't want to accept her sister. I cradle held, that baby and she would reach up w/ her little hooves and hold the bottle to drink.

I can't believe my baby is gone...possibly forever. PLEASE pray that if she is out there and hurt that she comes home and if she has passed that she didn't feel pain, knew she was loved and is waiting for me at the bridge

Her name is BJ ( her dad's name was Bob and she looks just like him so we named her BJ for Bob Jr.) Her littermate Lily and 1 year younger brother Spunky are now tearing up our basement. NOOOO way they are going out.

DNR is coming out tomorrow and helping us look deeper into the woods.

I don't have a gun strong enough to take down a bear but I WILL by tomorrow night. I am not one to kill an animal but I could cut his throat w/ my bear hands and I don't like feeling that way.

PLEASE PRAY for us!

I will pray for you and your animals to be safe, and that that bear will be put down. If he's got your 'baby' dear, then he will probably want the others. Good idea to keep them safe in the house.

Here in British Columbia, Canada, we've been having trouble with bears coming down, looking for food. Mostly black bears, and this is the first time in my life that I have heard of them coming close to where I live, which is quite rare indeed. But, something is driving them, lack of food? September is hunting season, but I still can't figure out why the bears are coming so close to our cities. People need to make sure that their garbage is secure, 'cause that's one way for them to get an easy meal. Maybe climate change is affectioning their food supply and they're being forced to come down from the forests, a long way to travel. Places which have more woody areas are reporting bears getting into garbage and the SPCA has been sent in to put the animals down.

Morning Ladies,

Well, it looks like this afternoon will be sunny. I've been getting hot flashes and drinking lots of water, 'cause the shop getts hot when the sun shines in the afternoon. I use a fan for cooling down and sometimes I'm the only one who getts hot. LOL. I guess it's premenopause or menopause starting, whatever LOL, but I'm not worried about the hot flashes, I'm coping pretty well. God is with me!!!

I will be teaching my co-worker how to knit the basics, at lunch today and looking forward to it. It should be fun and I like her company too.

4gotn1 sure hope you get the goat back. Maybe3 animal control can help you. I will keep you in my prayers.
Has the bear ever come after them before? Maybe the animal control can trap the bear and relocate him some place else.

I have never heard of any bear problems, where I am we only have hurricanes here.
But Ike is going to miss us and head toward Texas.

4gotn1, I pray that everything is okay with your animal and that God will send his angels around you to protect you and all of your family. Also that the bear will be caught before it does anymore damage... So sorry to hear this... and be safe...

Well the prayers were unanswered! I just went down in the woods to see my mauled baby "B"!

They found her about 150 feet away and they feel that she ran out there and the bear came back and got her. The animal control officer thought it was food.....she was JUST killed.

He came back to purposely take my baby from me.

DNR set a trap and said there are 3 bears up here, I a female w/ a arrow in it's head that has attacked and will be put down. The other two are males w/ one "strike" against them. HE "says" that when te bear is caught his boss "a less leinent" guy will determine this SOB's fate, he says it is illegal to kill it unless it is coming after us......well guess what, I guess I am going to be "attacked" by a bear tonight if he comes back.

They feel she would have been okay had she stayed in her house. Well if she had not been so scared she would have stayed in her house!

Thanks everyone for the prayers....at least now I know my baby is at peace and far away from this world that sucks so bad!

Please pray for my SIL's Grandmother and the family. She is in ICU and dieing. Jason is on his way there now...Pray that she has a peaceful death and pray for the family... She is 90 years old...
