Topic: Weight Loss, Weight Gain, Emotions, and Insecurities

I have been thinking a lot about all the topics above and how they effect us as humans. When we lose weight, we feel good about ourselves, our esteem goes through the roof and we are happy. In the midst of us gaining, we get a little uncomfortable until one day we wake up and the scale reads 200 and we are like . Then the moods kick in, we are not happy with "ourselves" and then we become moody (I can only speak for myself on this one). Then the insecurities come in, if it be with your DH , wife, boyfriend, or soon to be. We find ourselves questioning our worth, and them comes the torment from us to ourselves. The self pity and the why did I allow myself to get this way thoughts.

What is your revelation on all this, and what are you striving to do, to make this merry go round in your life come to an end?

MY ANSWER: TO NEVER ALLOW FOOD TO BECOME A CRUTCH IN MY LIFE, BUT TO LEAN AND DEPEND ON THE LORD IN ALL THINGS !

Thanks beloved for starting the new thread...

You know, I was the worlds worst about letting my weight determine my mood. I now don't do that anymore because I know God loves me no matter what weight I am. Sure I would love to be a size 0, but that isn't going to happen and I would look sick, if I did. I am now and will always be happy with who I am, because God made me and I am unique... If I lose weight great, and if I don't lose much, I am happy about that, too, so girls lets be on fire for God and praise him for all our Blessings...

Hi Godsbeloved, hope you are having a good day. How the eating going with you these days? I hope better than mine is going.
I think you and I have been on this board for a long time haven't we? I have been here since around 2001.

I see you started up a new home thread. Sometimes the older ones get so long and dated to and we need new ones.
Thats what I did to the Daily Devotionals, I updated it, so come in and join us there.

I am doing ok today for right now. Had a bad start to it though because when I got up this morning my arthritis was so sore all over my body and I could barely move but I took my medication and moved around some and soon I was feeling better. Somedays are just like that for me. I have good days and bad days with my arthritis and today was a bad beginning. But I try not to let it get me down though.

See you later, I will probably play here on my computer all day because I am not feeliong like doing much of anything else today..

Ladies, I just got a call from our Beloved Nephew and Niece ( Marvin and Margaret) and they are coming to see us weekend after next for a few days. Marvin is the one that I had you pray for because his Heart is worn out. Pray with me that I will be loving and kind, and not say anything that wouldn't become of God. I just want his Love to shine through me.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know our news.

I'm sorry to hear that the arthritis is bothering you today, praying that you feel better

. The thread was getting too long (thanks Patty), so it was time for us to start fresh

. Any of you lovely ladies can start a new one if you see that it is going on longer then it should

My eating has been good lately, I'm sticking to Induction levels and it seems to be working pretty good. Are you still doing Atkins?

You know godsbeloved I just love what you just said. We are to be just us and not to try to change for other people. If they don't like us, then it is their loss. You know, I have been dealing with that lately...I use to think I had to change to make everyone Happy. That is just impossible...

I just got back to my computer. My daughter was over earlier and we fixed lunch and sat an talked awhile. She vacumned the carpets for me. She is always so good about coming over to help me clean house.

I am still sore from my arthritis today so I just took some more of my medication for it to ease this pain. Took the other early this morning and its worn off already. I want to lay down and rest but when I do I just get stiffer in the bones and can hardly move so I stay up and as active as I can so I won't get like that.
I will go get in the pool when my hubby comes in from work. The pool water always feels so good on the body....

It's so easy for me to say that, cause I had to learn the hard way. I use to be what they call a "people pleaser" and then God had to give me Wisdom in that area and show me people just as they are. It seems that when you give one hand, they expect for you to give hand two and three. Many take advantage of your kindness and use it for their good. My kindness, is not my weakness anymore. God has delivered me from that and I consult HIM on what I should do, and how I should do it.

I am a people pleaser too, and my girls get onto about that. You just cannot please everyone and everyone is not going to like you. I am learning this in the last month and now I am just going to be myself, and if, they don't like it, too bad...

Good Morning Sweet Sista's...

I am very thrilled and thankful this morning. I am down 4 lbs. in 3 days... Now I know that I can't continue to lose that fast, but that is OK. The 1 meal a day is really working...

godsbeloved thank you so much for the prayer. I have seen that prayer before and I believe it covers everything that we need. That is really awesome.

Good Morning Ladies,
Here's a great scripture!

2 Cor 1:2-4
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Paul received such wonderful revelation from God. Yet he is so downplayed by alot of churches. I don't think they realize how important Paul is to the Body of Christ. He talks about the mystery, the dispensation of grace and the revelations he received directly from God.

Did you know that his gospel is totally different from Peters? Do you know why and what the difference is?

Another thing to ponder on..

Hi Momma Patty,
I just read your devotional post and I have to toally disagree with what you said.

I don't know if you realize this, but we are not commanded to keep the commandments. We live in the age of grace and not under the law.
All we are to do is believe in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord.

I would hate for you to believe that we have to live by the commandments because Paul say's in Romans that if we try to live by the law then it is of works and we don't live by our works, we live by faith in our Lord. It's faith plus nothing.

I truly recommend reading Romans because Paul explains it so well.

I'm not trying to start anything, but I am a mid-acts dispensation/grace believer. I believe that the revelations given to Paul by our Lord is for the Body of Christ and that we are to rightly divide the word of truth and know who the bible is talking to and during what time.

Paul was given all the information that we as Believers need to know on what happens when we believe to how we are to behave and act.

If interested I can explain more!

Start Date: Dec.4, 2008/ I'm losing it, pounds that is !!!	Good Morning Sweet Sista's... I am very thrilled and thankful this morning. I am down 4 lbs. in 3 days... Now I know that I can't continue to lose that fast, but that is OK. The 1 meal a day is really working... godsbeloved thank you so much for the prayer. I have seen that prayer before and I believe it covers everything that we need. That is really awesome. Diana I hope you check-in soon today and have the most wonderful day ever. I don't know if you realize this, but we are not commanded to keep the commandments. We live in the age of grace and not under the law. All we are to do is believe in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. I would hate for you to believe that we have to live by the commandments because Paul say's in Romans that if we try to live by the law then it is of works and we don't live by our works, we live by faith in our Lord. It's faith plus nothing. I truly recommend reading Romans because Paul explains it so well. I'm not trying to start anything, but I am a mid-acts dispensation/grace believer. I believe that the revelations given to Paul by our Lord is for the Body of Christ and that we are to rightly divide the word of truth and know who the bible is talking to and during what time. Paul was given all the information that we as Believers need to know on what happens when we believe to how we are to behave and act. If interested I can explain more! Love Ya!
