Need to hear something good?

Hey guys!
There are so many needs and concerns, life is hard. I just wanted to write a little note to encouragement those in the faith. God is still God. He has a plan, even in this economy, even in this weird election. He promised us that He would never leave or forsake us, that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He promised us that the righteous would never be forsaken,or their seed begging for bread. He alone is the one who raises up and puts down kings and kingdoms. In His word He told us not to fear, because He had overcome the world. Please stretch in these days with your faith, and trust Him to be the good dad that He is...there are truly better days ahead. Look up, that's where your help comes from.

(just my humble opinion of course)

Beautifully written, Susie. Thank you for the reminder. We all need to hear that every once in a while.

Those who choose not to agree with Susie's comments should graciously exit the thread without any snark. Just my opinion, of course.

Yanno, It is a beautiful thread.

No one goes into the Christian thread to bash. And It too is on the PG.

Can we have one nice thread, For people who might need this uplifting message today?

and also, if it was a Christian Gang thread I wouldn't have gone in, because its titled that way and I know its not a thread that I will likely participate in.

I don't open that many threads each day....and is it possible to open a thread and not say something???

see, I thought that was funny...but maybe that wasn't either.

just splainin

thanks,

sometimes people think joking where their religion is concerned is irreverent.

anyway, I read a great book called The Laughing Jesus, and it is about Gnostic's views, who see Jesus as a great man who enjoyed all of the human joys, and why do we never see him laughing?

interesting question.

Anyway, thanks.

Not for me. I gotta talk!

Sorry for the Jump. I am a little touchy on the God thing this week.

I was just afraid it would pull in 'the debate team' (and I mean BOTH sides that get kinda overboard)

Wonderful post, thank you for the words of encouragement!

As for who God WANTS to win: that would be all of us. You are the one God loves.

Senorina, That's one of my favorite things about Jesus...he's got it together ultimately,so what's not to be happy about? Im in seminary for a counseling degree by the way, this is my 3rd bible school, and I really really dont like rigid religious people...lol

God is our creator and loves us in spite of our sins.
He died for us so we could be saved and join Him in Heaven one day.
God is alive and is us every minutes of the day.
I LOVE GOD.
