Prayers please!

My oldest DS, age 7, just had a check up. His doctor told us to get him into a Dermatologist ASAP because she thinks he may have melanoma.

He has a mole on the palm of his hand that is growing and getting darker.
I am freaked out but made the mistake of looking it up on the internet....I should have known better but now I feel sick! I luckily was able to get an appt on Monday morning with the Derm but this is going to be a LONG weekend!! I have watched my mom fight cancer for 10 years now and as hard as that has been I cannot even fathom if they told me my baby has cancer!

Please, please pray that it turns out to be nothing....I am so scared and just keep wanting to hug and hold on to him but my DH told me to pull it together and to act like nothing is wrong and he doesn't want it talked about at all.

Is your son asking any questions? Your hubby's response seems a little harsh to me, but maybe I've taken it out of context? Nonetheless, you should be able to express your concern and fear to others. (obviously not the child)

Thanks to those of you that said prayers for my son! We finally got the biopsy results back this morning and it was benign

I read your post just now and I'm so glad to hear that your son is okay!!! God has his hand on him, you and your family. He is the God of miracles and is working in the lives of people today.
