Lots of prayers, please

Ok, so I know that I've pretty much run it into the ground that I am going back to FL for my dad's surgery, but since I'm leaving first thing tomorrow, I am starting to freak a little.

I need any and all prayers that can be thrown our way. My dad is having surgery Wednesday at UF Gainesville. It started around July 07. Had an "ulcer" taken from the side of his tongue... cancerous. Had to go back a couple more times. To make a long story short, the last time was Jan 29 and the dr didn't do the surgery as once he got in there, it was beyond what was thought so dad was referred to this dr in Gainesville. It's gotten really bad and if he didn't have this surgery, the prognosis was less than a year.

My dad won't be the same after the surgery. He will probably be in the hospital for 10 or so days. He is a VERY strong man. He's never really been sick or hurt aside from old sports injuries - think aging jock

I guess that's why it's bothering me so much.

Please pray that we have a safe trip there and back (I'm driving back w/my 3 boys

) and that the surgery and recover goes well, that the dr can get it all, for my step mom's stength and sanity (she lost her first husband to cancer).

I really appreciate all of the support everyone has shown me in my weight loss journey and towards other people who are going through personal issues.

I will update next Monday as I am returning on Sunday.

I'm praying that God will lead and guide the doctors hands as they perform this surgery.

Also, that God will comfort you and your family during this trying time.

Sometimes it's hard to have faith for ourselves and we don't beleive. Above all, pray for peace in this situation, God can give you and your family that peace that passeth all understanding! I've been through 5 brain sugeries, and God has never failed me yet!
