Hi ladies! Is it ok for me just to jump in here?
I am Kristi (Quasimodo on the internet). I'm 40 years old, happily married to the love of my life for 19 years, and I have 3 kids, 2 of which I am homeschooling (graduated the eldest last year). I've been a Christian for 18 years. In the past, I have done Atkins, but I think I'm wanting to try something new, so I'll try South Beach. I think I'm ready for something different--I tend to get bored of things after a while. I did Atkins for a few years off and on, and lost 50 lbs doing it. I've gained 20 back, but would like to lose about 15 and maintain there. Thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!  |

Hi Ladies,
How goes it? I'm counting down to the day I get my eye surgery. It's ten days starting tomorrow and I'm getting excited. My family suspects, but they don't know about me going through with it. Oh well, I believe God has given me the opportunity and I'm praying that all goes well and that God will give me favor, amen.  Godsbeloved, glad to see you again. I didn't know that you originally started this thread. I pray that it will keep on going and be stronger then ever, because we ladies have something here to share with each other. Mamma Patty, glad you went golfing. Sounds like you had a good time and going to your favorite dinner place is even more special. Enjoy. Mary, hope you're feeling well these days.  you're such a great lady.Diana, where's Diana?? I miss her already. Hope she's okay. Hope you don't mind me talking about this surgery, but I said I would keep you informed on how it goes. I'm waiting in anticipation for the 18 of July to show up. Praying, praying, praying that all will go well. Oh, my co-worker wants to get her eyes done after I do, my bosses are interested and a lady that I speak to on the bus wants it done too. Wow, I didn't know how much I affect other people on a regular basis. It's like when a rain drop falls in the water and circles form, going on and on and on. It makes you think of what effect we have on others, doesn't it? I always hope that I touch people in some way and if this is an assurance of how others are affected by my actions, then God is showing me how my christianity works, by reflecting God's purposes through me, his vessel. Ya follow me?? We are all reflecting God's glory and purposes on a daily basis. That's so exciting!!! Something to think about. You all have a great night, God Bless,

Got lots to do this morning... Make Spinach Dip, Home made Tortillas and Chicken Enchiladas for Dinner. I have to bake the Chicken Breasts first and dice them up...

Girls, I really need your prayers... I was real sick with the acid reflux again last night and this is really worrying me... I just looked up the list of foods not to eat, and girls, there is nothing else to eat. What am I to do... Did you know that even eggs can cause the Acid Reflux??? Anyway, I have got have God's help with this and being overweight cause reflux too, so pray that I can find a way to get rid of this, once and for all...

Oh thank you Baby. I just want this so bad. Food never bothered me until after I had my colonoscopy last year... Henry thinks that the Dr. hurt me in some way...

Patty Ann I am praying for you that you get to feeling better with the acid reflux.
I use to get it bad but my doctor gave me Nexium for it and I have not had any trouble with it since. Have you tried it yet? God Bless you all Will check back in later. |

Nexium I haven't tried. I was on Prilosec for awhile but it made me swell really bad. I am now on Tagamet and Zantac and see, if I can control it that way. Thanks so much for your prayers. If I have to give all the foods up that I am not supposed to eat, I will have nothing left but Vegetables... I can't believe that just about everything can give you acid reflux...
