Really bummed out today. Gained .6 pounds. I know that is not much but it makes me sad. I have been eating clean and exercising 50 minutes a day, drinking water etc.

The only thing I can think of is the B/C. I am on the three month plan where I only get my period every 3 months and right now I have it.

I could use some words of encouragement.

Hi Andrea,

I know it is easy said then done, but you have to love the scale from a distance. Focus more on the way your clothing are fitting or measure yourself. Be encouraged, and know that as long as you are eating clean and exercising; the results will prove the scale wrong.

There are so many threads on here about the evil scale, I'll try to find some for you to read.

thank you, i will try to find some of the threads. I definately have a scale problem. I just get impatient and want to be my goal weight now. I will pray to God to help me overcome this bad habit.

I hate my scales. I just got some new ones a few weeks back because the old ones were broken and I hate my new ones, I cannot seem to lose any of my weight when I step on them. I HATE SCALES......
I do better when I go by my clothing and when they become looser on me then I know I have lost.
I go to the doctor so much with all my arthritis that I just wait to get them to weigh me then. Most times I am down one or two pounds and that me and the doctor happy.

Hi Ladies,

Hey, that's why I go to my meetings and get weighed once a week. If I weigh myself every day, it getts to be an obsession and I get disappointed and down right depressed when I don't lose like I think I should.

I like Mary's idea about measuring and seeing how your clothes fit. When the scale fails in this area, the body doesn't and it tell the truth and is probably more accurate then any scale on earth. I mean, when you feel your pants hanging at your hips and you know you've lost weight. Sometimes the scale doesn't show the results that your body is showing, but you know by how your clothes feel and it's time to buy new ones, don't you think? LOL I can't wait for my pants to fall off my hips, then I will do the happy dance!!!

Praise Report:

Girls you are not going to believe this but yesterday morning I tripped over a floor brace downstairs and fell on my left side, but to God's glory I wasn't even hurt. Thank you Jesus.

My neighbor fell the same way a few weeks back and he ended up with a concussion, knocked his lights out and tore his left shoulder in the socket. He ended up having to have major surgery to repair it.

I thank God so much for him keeping is Loving Arms on me...

Andrea Darling, stay off the scales. I use to weigh every day and Honey all that will do is make you sad. Our bodies fluctuate so much that weighing every day you will see some changes on the scale. I was so obsessed with the scale that it even dictated my moods and I will not let that happen anymore. Weigh once or twice a week and keep your eyes on the tape measure...

Ladies I am really thinking hard about being MIA for a few months. I have let things get to me too much and I need to be off here for awhile or I may just stay away... I have some things to deal with and let go...

Just checking in with everyone. I hope you had a nice Independence day. I got on the scale today and was down to 206.6. Got done with my TOM and the water weight started to come off. I hope it keeps rolling. If it doesn't I'll just hang in there because this WOE makes me feel so good. But hopefully, pretty soon I will be in Onederland!!

I forgot to tell you that I went camping over the weekend and got back yesterday.
I hope you all had a happy 4th! I also celebrated my 17th wedding anniversary. It was great!!

MommaPatty, I'm sorry to hear about why you need to leave. I know that sometimes we have to take a break and take care of ourselves. You do what you need to do, and know that no matter how long you're gone, we will never forget you. Just as we haven't forgotten WorldChanger and Berta!

Hi Andrea, you and I are about the same weight. After my little indulgence over the weekend, put me up about 4lbs! But I'm back on it and ready to lose! We can do this and get into onederland soon!!! It helps to get a true reading on the scale after you've had a bm too.

Hi everyone,

Just checking in with everyone.

The scale was up today but I think that was because I started my new dose of birth control yesterday. I know that it is all water weight. I also took a rest day from walking which seems to lead to a weight gain the next. I did not realize how important walking was. I feel really good when I do it.

I so wanted a pop tart this morning but I hung in there. My husband likes to eat them for snacks.

Just got my nails and toes done and they look wonderful. I like to treat myself to that stuff.

I also celebrated my 12th wedding anniversary yesterday and my husband bought me a beautiful crucifex necklace. It reminds me of the wonderful sacrifice that our Lord made for us. I touch it through out the day and it keeps my mind on the Lord. It is great.

Well, that's what is going on with me. Hope everyone has a great day.

You know what ladies, I kind have been lurking and not posting much, but wanted to let you know that I am ok. I think all of you already know why I feel like I must stay away for awhile. I have just let other people influence my moods and with the bad scene, I just haven't been able to get past it, so I need some healing time, and hopefully forgiveness will come to my Heart for those that have hurt me...

Oh no Dear, you haven't done anything to upset me Sweetie. I just take things too personal and I need to work on that. I know that I can't make everyone like me and that is hard for me to deal with, and has caused trouble in my life.

I might not even stay away. I don't know. I need God's direction in this. All I have tried to do is to be a good friend and there has been a lot of misunderstanding on another thread. It had nothing to do with Sista's In Christ, for all you have done is shown love.

Momma Patty, I know it's hard not to take things personally. But sometimes when we are "unequally yoked", it's hard for others to understand us and our intentions. Only in some cases though. But I know what you mean about other threads.

You're such a sweet and loving person, I don't see how anyone can take what you say wrong. You are nothing but encouraging and supportive!

I believe that our Lord will put it in your heart how you should respond to this and He will give you the way to handle it.
