That's an interesting woe.
But I can see the logic in it because I've eaten alot for breakfast, and it would fill me up for the whole day. But this is before I was low carbing.

You probably eat good foods though and it seems to be working too!

I really like junk foods too, but getting salad stuff Wednesday at Sam's in Shreveport. I plan on eating a lot of good salads. We have been trying to eat stuff out of our freezer to get rid of it...

If I start eating early in the day, then I want to eat all day long. That is why eating at night and the only meal has been good for me.

------------------------------------------------
"God And The Geese"

There was once a man who didn't believe in God, and he didn't hesitate to let others know how
he felt about religion and religious holidays.

His wife, however, did believe, and she raised their children to also have faith in God and Jesus,
despite his disparaging comments. One snowy Eve, his wife was taking their children to service
in the farm community in which they lived. They were to talk about Jesus' birth. She asked him
to come, but he refused. "That story is nonsense!" he said. "Why would God lower Himself to
come to Earth as a man? That's ridiculous!"

So she and the children left, and he stayed home. A while later, the winds grew stronger and the
snow turned into a blizzard. As the man looked out the window, all he saw was a blinding snow
storm. He sat down to relax before the fire for the evening. Then he heard a loud thump. Some
thing had hit the window. He looked out, but couldn't see more than a few feet. When the snow
let up a little, he ventured outside to see what could have been beating on his window.

In the field near his house he saw a flock of wild geese. Apparently they had been flying south
for the winter when they got caught in the snowstorm and couldn't go on. They were lost and
stranded on his farm, with no food or shelter. They just flapped their wings and flew around
the field in low circles, blindly and aimlessly. A couple of them had flown into his window,
it seemed.

The man felt sorry for the geese and wanted to help them. The barn would be a great place for
them to stay, he thought. It's warm and safe; surely they could spend the night and wait out the
storm. So he walked over to the barn and opened the doors wide, then watched and waited,
hoping they would notice the open barn and go inside.

But the geese just fluttered around aimlessly and didn't seem to notice the barn or realize what
it could mean for them. The man tried to get their attention, but that just seemed to scare them,
and they moved further away. He went into the house and came with some bread, broke it up,
and made a bread crumb trail leading to the barn. They still didn't catch on.

Now he was getting frustrated. He got behind them and tried to shoo them toward the barn, but
they only got more scared and scattered in every direction except toward the barn. Nothing he
did could get them to go into the barn where they would be warm and safe. "Why don't they
follow me?!" he exclaimed. "Can't they see this is the only place where they can survive the storm?"

He thought for a moment and realized that they just wouldn't follow a human. "If only I were
a goose, then I could save them," he said out loud. Then he had an idea. He went into barn, got
one of his own geese, and carried it in his arms as he circled around behind the flock of wild geese.

He then released it. His goose flew through the flock and straight into the barn -- and one-by-one,
the other geese followed it to safety. He stood silently for a moment as the words he had spoken
a few minutes earlier replayed in his mind: "If only I were a goose, then I could save them!" Then
he thought about what he had said to his wife earlier. "Why would God want to be like us? That's ridiculous!"

Suddenly it all made sense. That is what God had done. We were like the geese--blind, lost,
perishing. God had His Son become like us so He could show us the way and save us.

As the winds and blinding snow died down, his soul became quiet and pondered this wonderful
thought. Suddenly he understood why Christ had come. Years of doubt and disbelief vanished
with the passing storm. He fell to his knees in the snow, and prayed his first prayer:

"Thank You, God, for coming in human form to get me out of the storm!"

God bless you

Hi Sistas!!!

We've been getting a mix of snow and rain, and a wind storm warning tonight. I've been having a hard time keeping from eating at night, I stop at 7pm, but have been having popcorn seasoned. I have gained 3 pounds and hope that by friday I'll be down again. Don't know why I can't seem to get past 174 mark and into the 160's range. I could be not drinking enough water, and water is a hard thing for me to drink, for some reason I've had a lot of difficulty drinking the amount required. I drink tea through out the day, but maybe that's why I haven't been able to loss the amount of weight or gotten the successful I've wanted for a while.

So, I'm asking you Ladies to pray that this stall will break, [I'm so sick of struggling with it for so long now], maybe I haven't surrended my eating completely over to God, [doing it all on my own merit]. I feel ashamed and a bit overwhelmed, and need to remind myself each morning to turn my eating over to Him, [Have had a compulsive eating behaviour since childhood; troubled home life; parents divorce was devastating in my mid 20's; give it all to God, who can handle the load.]

Ladies, pray that God will reveal what the problem is to me, and how I should handle it. I know He is able to move mountains, and this one has been a real tough one for me over the years. [I've gotten quite frustrated with it; do I truly believe that God is going to break this thing? Yes!!! He is able and Yes He will!!!]. Yes, God is showing me to get desperate about it, [get serious about it; want it really bad enough, to give it all to Him], and truly trust Him in believing for a real breakthrough in my weightloss.

Just as I'm praying here, the Holy Spirtit is revealing to me that this compulsion [that I've struggled with for most of my life] is not my fault!!! And He wants me to give it over to Him immediately!!!

Dear Heavenly Father, I know you are able to move mountains and remove this compulsion from my life. You know how I've suffered and struggled all these years, and have believed a lie that I'm the one to blame for this compulsion. I ask that you would forgive me for blaming myself, for all the hurt that I've experienced in my life since my childhood, and I ask that you would remove the hurt, pain, guilt, fear and shame of my past, [pouring oil and wine into my wounds, which have festered for years; God you know!!!], and wash my clean. Do it right now, in the mighty name of Jesus!!!

Lord, I also pray that I will stop sabotaging my eating plan and start living for you!!! with all my heart, soul and mind. As you said to me before, that my temple is not my own but yours, [my temple is the Holy Spirit's home, it is not mine; you pay for it with a price.] I give you all the praise Lord, and worship you now, thanking you Lord and believing that you are releasing me from this lie of satan, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!!! Yes, praise God!!! You are the victory in Jesus, and you are my comfort. I will find spiritual strength and you will fill my heart with good things, [filling that empty hunger and replacing it with spiritual food], and bless me as I continue on this journey of weightloss and healthy eating, amen.

You'll have a blessed night!!!

Hi Tammy,
I've been going through a stall myself, since June of last year, then in late September and early October I lost 5 lbs, but that's because I started exercising.

Since then I haven't lost anything, although I had lost what I gained during the holidays, I haven't started losing again.

But we have to understand that our bodies have to get used to what we've lost. It's playing catch-up right now. Another thing is if we don't see it in the scale, we will feel it in our clothes. Plus you may be losing inches too. Have you noticed your if clothes are fitting better?

It's all a matter of our bodies adjusting to the our loss and remember if you've lost quickly in the beginning, then it will slow down somewhat as we go along.

Don't get discouraged, just keep eating the way you should be and you'll see the lbs come off in time. Don't take your stall as a reason to eat off plan. I know you may not, but it's when we continue to eat off plan that we see things get messed up in our bodies and then it takes even longer to lose.

I haven't seen the scale move like I said, but I have lost inches. So technically, if you are losing inches, you're not really stalling, you're just losing in a different way.

Hang in there Tammy, there are alot of us in the same boat here. We just need to be patient and realize that God made our bodies and He knows when we need to lose in a healthy manner.

Also, I have confused physical hunger with spiritual hunger. When I think I'm hungry for food, I'm really hungry for the word!

And you know, the Lord knows when we mess up. He is not going to hold that against us and look down on us. He is going to gently pick us back up and lead us back to the right path. So don't beat yourself up about cheating because that is the enemy who is doing that to you. When we allow the enemy a foothold into our lives like that, he can take full advantage of our emotions and make us feel like we our unworthy. Be we our worthy in Christ Jesus!!!
He gives us the His robe of righteousness!!

We'll just continue to trust in Him and continue to give Him the glory for what we have accomplished already in Him!

Love Ya!!

Went to my Bible study class this morning and we were discussing verses 15 & 16 of Col. And wanted to share it with you today.
Our great God created all things, you and I and everything on this earth and the heavens and all in it to. So why do some people still want to deny Gods existence? All they need to do is look around and see Gods presence everywhere.
Everything God created is so beautiful and wonderfully made., don't you think so? I know I sure do.

I have not been doing as well with my eating as I would like to so I have decided to put it before the Lord and ask for His help because of health reasons I really need to lose the rest of my weight. I know with Him holding me up I can lose the weight.

Hope all of you have a Blessed day.

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness;

Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Hello Ladies!!! How are you all dooooiinningggg!!!

I found this on a Christian website I lurk on and thought it was good. Here it is:

The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I am a part of the fellowship of the Unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit
Power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has
been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow
down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense,
and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight
walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions,
mundane talking, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or
popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised,
regarded, or rewarded. I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by
patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.

My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my
way is rough, my companions few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted,
or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the
presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the
pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of
mediocrity.

I won't give up, back up, let up, or shut up until I've preached up, prayed
up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ. I am a
disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until He returns, give until I drop,
preach until all know, and work until He comes.

And when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My
colors will be clear for "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.." (Romans 1:16)

A Poem For You

"IN CASE YOU FIND THIS WEBSITE" !

In case you find this website
And the Rapture's taken place
Since you've been left behind
I'd like to tell you of God's Grace.

I no longer am on this website
For I've left this world behind
I have gone to be with Jesus
But I've left for you to find:

The way to true Salvation
Yes the way to Jesus Christ
I've left here on this website
All about His Sacrifice.

You too can find Salvation
in none but God I pray,
You can learn of Jesus
He can Save your soul today.

No matter what your burdens
And no matter what you've done
Yes Jesus will forgive you
That's a promise from God's Son.

Please pick up a Bible and read
it today, Oh a choice I hope you
choose, There you will find all
the answers and Gods good news.

So just in case you've found this
web site, and I pray you have in
time,
For all the lonely sinners,
I had you my friend, in mind.

If you'll just take a minute
Open up your heart to see
I've left for you the Scriptures
How that Christ can set you Free.

Written in this Bible
I've left it here for you
The way to true Salvation
Is NO WORKS that you must do.

So just in case it's happened
And the Rapture's taken place
Please stay and do some reading
It will tell you of God's Grace.

For you've been left behind
So please don't leave before you read
The way to finding Jesus
Only HE can set you Free !

Hi everyone, How is your day today? Hope you are having a Blessed one.
I have a question and maybe you all can answer it for me. I was listening to a preacher on Tv last night and he was talking about the creation in Genesis 1. He was saying that on the first day of creation there was light but that God did not create the sun and moon and stars in the heavens until the fourth day. He said that God must have had some sort of light on the first day, maybe to be able to see His creation or what he did not say. I got my Bible out and it did say that there was light on the first day so where did the light come from if God created the sun and moon on the fourth day?
It just has me confused thats all.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Genesis

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. [The first of several Words (commands) spoken by God ]

Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Well, it seems to me that God is light! So I would think that His glory would be the light.

That's what I think when I read that.

Here is a bible teaching that I watch on tv everyday. The show's are from 10 years ago, but this person has new teachings on Sunday too.

His name is Les Feldick. Here is a sample of his teaching on Genesis.

Through the Bible with Les Feldick, Book 1

When you have time, check this out. His teachings are quite good and I have learned alot by the way he teaches.

Good news on Whitney...

She is down to 10ml. on her Prednsone (sp) for her Lupus. She hasn't had any flairs with it being that low. Thank you God...

Where is everybody at today? It has been quiet...
