WOE: Low Carb/Healthy!
Don't you love people who 'know it all"

A co-worker of mine overhead me talking on the phone this AM to my DH about our WOE. First of all, don't listen to my conversations. Second of all, it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

When I got off the phone, she had to make comments about when her husband did this it messed up his system and how you just can't go without eating carbs, etc., etc.,
Whatever! Who asked you?

Why do people feel the need to tell *you* about how bad you are treating your body but you continue to lose weight and feel GREAT!

"When you cut out an ENTIRE food group, of course you'll lose weight."

"You NEED carbs, the food pyramid says so."

MY FAVOURITE:

"You can't deprive yourself."

This coming from a girl already at a great weight who eats nothing but grilled chicken wraps because she thinks she could lose 10 more lbs, and also confesses to me on a regular basis that she ate an entire cake by herself with a fork because she couldn't take it anymore.

I usually say something nerdy like the food pyramid is a government scam but that gets me weird looks. So I just sit there with my shopping list of ground beef, cheese, mixed greens and coconut oil and nod my head.

I don't mind her comments like..."you look so SKINNY today" though

I get so sick of people butting in to how I eat and feeling free to tell me how wrong I am. I want to say "you eat what you want, I'll eat what I want"...

I'm so glad you guys love me!

Seriously, sometimes knowing it all- you don't realize you're being so obtrusive. It's taken me years of growing up to realizing having an opinion about everything and verbalizing it- isn't the best way to be always!

However, my closest friends are my closest friends because they know this is what they get from me- open and something to say about everything. I've just learned how to withhold if something doesn't really effect me in the 1st person.

Maybe your co-worker is a baby Mickey.
