DH's Biopsy results.......

We went to the doctor's today and found out that my DH's colonoscopy results were BENIGN! But the polyp is so large and covering the colon that it has to be removed. We had hoped for a laparoscopic procedure but found out that it will require a section on his colon to be removed. Otherwise it will grow back and it is in the last "benign" stage, just before cancer. They estimate that he has had it for 5 or 6 years. I am so grateful that surgery will correct this problem. I'm also very proud of him for going for the colonoscopy. The doctor said he is so lucky he came when he did. DH is a nervous wreck, however, because he has never had surgery before.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Mackenzie

P.S. I love you all!

Thanks Becky! It has been a long 2 weeks waiting for the results! I keep telling my DH that we will get through this and will be stronger because of it. I plan on taking VERY good care of him while he is recovering! I can't imagine my life without him! Thanks PG for all your prayers!

MacKenzie: What wonderful news!!!!!! That is just great..

As much "fun" as colonoscopies are, they are lifesaving...I had mine and DH is next..!!!

Surgery won't be fun, but he will get through it with God's help and you..

Thanks Carolyn! The doctor said DH is very lucky to go when he did. If he had waited any longer, it would have been cancerous. Now we are just anxiously waiting to get the surgery over with!
