My DH's Colonoscopy today.........pray for him

My DH had a colonoscopy done today and it found a polyp and the doctor said it might be cancerous. They did a biopsy but we won't know the results for at least a week!!! Because of it's shape and location, he has to have it removed regardless of the biopsy results because it is "Pre-cancerous" if not cancerous, according to his doctor. We are both scared since he is only 51 years old. Please keep him in your prayers!

TIA
Mackenzie

Oh, I know that feeling. A feeling of helplessness. Last year I found a lump in my neck, and when they looked at it- decided it was fatty tissue, and did an x-ray and found two "quarter-size growths" on my thyroid. I had to have a biopsy done. They did it on a Wednesday so I had to wait until the following week for the results. Pure nightmarish anguish...all I could think of was my kids without a mother (I have 5). I really had my faith put to the test the first couple of days. Then I knocked myself in the head and remembered HE has a plan for me, praise God! Everytime I would get a feeling of being anxious, I would say "the Lord has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind". That helped me. God is good ALL the time.

This scares me because I have a fatty lump on the right upper arm. The doctor said it was my choice to remove it or let it alone. It is sore at times and now I'm worried I may have been misdiagnosed too. I like the prayer you say when you are worried.........I will borrow it from you! TIA

Good Morning! That is 2 Timothy 1:7. I like also Psalm 91:10, 11-There shall no evil befall, niether any plague (sickness) come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.

I would get a second opinion on that lump. It shouldn't hurt.

Have a blessed day!

Thanks Renae for the advice. I think I will get another opinion on the lump. It seems to have gotten bigger. The doctor called it a lipoma.

Dear Ladies... I'm a prayer warrior and I'll pray for you. I'm kinda going through a family crisis myself... my Dad's wife died this past sunday night due to complications. Without know each one was praying the exact same prayer... my sister and I prayed that if God wanted her to live he would heal her completely... and if he wanted to take her that she would go peacefully to heaven. We both placed her in God's hands... and God took care of the matter. I know this was a different siduation then yours... but my point is that no matter what the cumstances... God is in control. Get the medical help you need and pray specifically... telling God what you want from him. And he will do it!!! He wants us to ask him and believe that he will answer our prayers...amen.

Mackenzie... Know this that I'll be praying for you and your DH, amen.

Pray Changes Things!!!

God BLess...

Sorry not to respond sooner but it's been a busy time here. DH's polyp is not cancerous but is in the last stage before being cancerous. They are doing a bowel resection in a few weeks. Please keep him in your prayers.....he is not out of the woods yet.
