Thought I was pregnant...

I was 2 1/2 weeks late and was sure I was pregnant. Got TOM this afternoon and am quite bummed. The funny thing is that up until I thought I was preggo, I told everyone that I was done having kids. I'm 37 and figured now way...My DH doesn't want anymore kids, but he wasn't upset at all when I told him I thought I might be. Anyway...this roller coaster sent me into a binge. And I'm here to say that it's a minor set back and I'm back on the horse, so to speak.

I know it's a disappointment. And even though you weren't really planning it you probably got yourself all psyched up about it and were looking forward to it. Don't let the disappointment get you down. Take control and don't binge. You came here which is a good thing. Hang in there, it gets easier.

I'm 37 too, and dh is "fixed". I was late the other month and panicked! I too let myself imagine what it would be like although it wasn't my plan (or God's). I have 2 beautiful dd's whom I adore and that is enough for me.

*hugs*

Women are funny lol. You can say you're done, no more kids, no way, no how, no chance....but then a glimmer of possibility and maternal instincts kick in. I know you're disppointed, it's even ok to have a good cry. Just don't let it send you down a path of defeat. Gotta pick yourself up, be thankful for all of your great blessings and move on.

And then...

If you really want to have another and all "involved parties" are able...go for it!

OMG, totally same thing happened to me a little while ago. I'm 34 and dh is "fixed" too, but I totally skipped a MONTH! I was really concerned because my baby #3 was already our surprise baby!LOL I can't imagine 4!! I even started researching failed "V"s and all that. Once TOM showed up though I was actually a little disappointed!

Hop back on the wagon, it's always here waiting!

I am 37 and late too. Took a preg test though and its negative. I think my missing period is due to stress though.

This was me 3 years ago!!! The first time around doing LC and I had lost a bunch then had a New Year's surprise! Now he is almost 2 1/2 and such a blessing AND I'm back on LC and smaller than I was the first time. Congratulations!

Thanks for the support, guys! It's funny...after I posted the thread, I watched an episode of Scrubs where Carla finds out she's pregnant. I did cry. I feel better now, though.

Thanks again!

Sounds like perimenopause to me. That's what it was for me anyway.
