I have this over-whelming desire to just sit around
and do absolutely nothing! What is wrong with me? I can not motivate myself to do anything... Please tell me what to do! I am just exhausted all the time...
I was fine up until a month ago. Very energized and got alot of things done. We then left(drove 10 hours each way) for a 6 day trip for Disney. We didn't sleep much-maybe 6 hours a night but we all had alot of fun. We got back on a Wednesday late, I basically did laundry and we left again on Friday night for an 8 hour trip to Missouri (my husband is taking a job there and I wanted to see the area). We got home on Sunday night. The whole next week, I did what I had to do but napped alot. I think we ate out that whole week because I just didn't want to deal with the mess. My girls(ages 4 & 10) and I left the following Saturday to visit with family in Illinois for Fall Break- another 8 hour road trip- We stayed up there for the week and I ate very badly and we didn't do a whole lot. We got back last Saturday and not much has happened since then... I don't know if: A: I am just off schedule, not eating or exercising so I am out of it B: I'm becoming depressed since DH is relocating next week and me and the girls are here until May C: I'm waiting for DH to leave so I can get the house ready to sell. (Why clean now when I will have to clean later mentality) D: Someone has taken over my body I started taking my multi-vitamin again this morning thinking I may be vitamin deficient... Can something pull me out of this slump? I don't even enjoy simple things like surfing the web... I just want to veg! Help! |

MY guess is that it's mostly "A", and maybe a bit of "B".
Try taking small steps.....focus on one thing per week drink your water- week one exercise (and keep drinking your water) week two clean house 15 minutes at a time- week three Don't really have much advice, but will send up healing thoughts for you. best wishes |

Experiencing what you've experienced, I can only say for me, that going to my doctor, describing my symptoms, having him prescribe an anti-depressant, taking it, and also talking to a counselor about it have been very helpful. Your mileage may vary, but what you are describing sounds very familiar to me.
I found that I couldn't even get the motivation to exercise or get on the right way of eating without the chemical help of an anti-depressant. |

I've discovered that after being LC faithful, when I eat badly, my body goes into a pretty significant depression. Usually short term, and once I get back on track things are better, but take care of yourself, and monitor these behaviors, as they are pretty indicative of depression. Sounds like some post-excitement blahs, in addition to stress of the upcoming move, could be significant enough to warrant a trip to the dr. if things don't start looking brighter. Sorry things are yucky . . .
