Why do people make stupid comments?

I went into a store today looking for vitamins and explained to the man in the store that I was looking for a vitamin that is good for someone who is eating low carb. He told me that they didn't carry a vitamin specificaly for that but they did have a Carb Curb pill. He suggested that the pill would be great for me if I wanted to cheat and eat carbs b/c it helped in the digestion of carbs. Now why the @&%% would he suggest that I may want to cheat and use that product?

I know - but you have to remember that he is a sales person - and probably thinks that 'everyone' cheats and that he was appealing to you with a 'unique selling point' of something you didn't want in the first place!!

You probably just want to start with a great multi-vitamin. There are probably posts you can search for that will tell you what you may need - otherwise the book (most lc books) give you some good ideas of what is needed.

1. It's a business
2. A lot of people have parties and other things going on and look for "aids" to help them. I'm not saying they work but they sell them for a reason.

I've seen plenty of people on here ask if those pills work because they want to have a cheat for whatever reason.

I would also start with the muli-Vit with minerals.Use a good quality Vit. Add Pottassium and Vit.C. Atkins also strongly suggests Chromium Picolinate (500mcg). Omega3 in fish oil is great for the body (Cheaper in flax seed) but one has to add Vit. E (400mg) to any omega 3, or it can be harmful. Calcium/Magnesium/Zine is also good to use (note: use a 3 or 5 ratio of zinc to Mag. Example: Magnesium 35mg to 100mg Zinc). This is a good starting point. Milk Tistle should also be considered. A lot of water is a must for the liver.
