Bad Day

Many of you know that I lost my mom on August 4. She fought Breast Cancer for 7yrs. Over the last two, she had a reoccurance, it had metastised to her bones, liver, lungs, and brain.(we almost lost her in November due to brain tumors pressing on her brain), She did well for a while, but her poor little body just said enough. I feel very blessed that God gave us the extra time to spend with her. We were able to take a big family vacation, and my mom got to finally see the ocean and feel the sand between her toes. She never been out of the state. I am just being selfish today. I miss her so much. She was my best friend. I still have to catch myself, when something happens, I think "Oh, I've got to call momma", and then it hits....she's not here. I cried all day yesterday. I thought I was doing ok, the first week or so. I don't know if everything is just hitting now or what. I just miss her. I miss her smile. I miss her laugh... I miss her..

I'm so sorry Angels. I went through the same thing when my Dad, (my best friend) died. I'd be ok most of the time but other days were just terrible. I could be driving down the street and see an old man and be reminded of him and just start balling my eyes out driving down the street. I can tell you you'll never forget her, but the pain does subside. It lessens. It will get easier.

Grieving and crying over a lost loved one is very normal and very healthy. Don't worry about it..just cry away..

Many of us can relate to losing our parents or a family member and it is really tough not to have them with us on this earth. But we have the great hope of a reunion one day in heaven..where there are NO more tears!!!

Hugs to you.......right now..

Debkeversole.... I am so sorry about your mother. Its amazing that we can put a man on the moon, but can't find a cure for this horrible disease. Cancer is pure evil...I understand where you are coming from, when you said you what the lights go out in your mom's eyes... My mom died in my dad's arms, with me next to her face telling her it was ok...I can't get the image out of my head, watching my mom pass...I am just thankful I was there...
I miss her soo much...we are such a close family, I miss hearing her voice..If you ever need to talk, please don't hesitate...pm me or email me...I am here if you need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen....

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Although it's been nearly 12 years since I lost my Mom, I feel for what you are going through. As the years go on it does get different - not easier, but not quite as painful.
