WHAT DEVOTIONAL OR READING PLAN ARE YOU ON?
I was just wondering what is your daily devotional schedule and what are you reading. What I mean is "Do you have a set time each day for your devotions and are you reading anything?
Or if you just read the Bible, what bible reading plan are you using. I need to get more disciplined and I want to know what you guys are doing. |

I'm not good at sticking to a reading program someone else came up with. When i was a younger Christian i did a lot of that, but now tend to do better just reading at random about the subjects that interest me.
Years ago my DH got me a Bible Library for the computer and i LOVE IT. You can type in a word you want to search and find all the verses that contain that word, so you can do your own self-directed studies. Of course, you should read the surrounding text to make sure you don't take things out of context, but yeah..... IT'S SO COOL!! ![]() |

There is a great daily devotional book called Coffee Break With God. I just can't seem to get disciplined to have my daily devotional time, but I keep this book out and it is a reminder for me to pick it up and get connected with God. There are so many good devotionals out there.

bible.com has some great study guides on line. I use this on my lunch. Read books or bible on train ride home and do the majority of my study at home during quiet time after everyone else settles in. Find what works for you and always be open for change in study habits according to God's leading.

I start out with "My Utmost for His Highest" which is a daily devotional - then I usually go to the Scripture referenced in the devotion and pray about how it affects my life.

www.heartlight.org is also a great place to get online devotionals. I get C.H. Spurgeon's Morning and Evening every morning. I love the old language and also his tremendous insight into who God is. There are others to choose from too including "My Utmost for His Highest". I also go at lunch when I can and spend my lunch hour in an empty parking lot talking to God, reading my Bible, and listening to praise music. I spend a lot of time in my bed at night (it takes me a LONG time to fall asleep usually) just talking and listening to God. We have such sweet times in the night together!
