Well that's a new one...
I mentioned to my MIL that I was back on LCing. She then proceeded to imply that I have an "eating disorder" like her son does.
Sheesh. Never had that one before. ![]() |

An eating disorder?? That is a new one...eating healthy is a disorder?? My mother asked me if I was one of those anorexic people...who don't eat. I told her I am only avoiding the sugar, flour, processed foods...and she said "Exactly...you don't eat!" Um...since when has eating vegetables, proteins, sugar free been considered not eating??

Makes no sense - it's no different than someone cutting out fat or dairy or salt.
What kind of eating disorder does her son have? |

I am so sick of the way people think.I now tell people I am eating a diabetic(SP?) diet. They shut up fast then. I hate to not say low carb but I am tired of all the mean comments I get.You can`t explain because they will NOT listen.

I know the feeling. I dont even bother telling people anymore. But if asked I say I am avoiding sugar & white flour............thats all they need to know. If I tell someone low carb , i usually hear.........OH! Thats bad for you.
Well ya know.....I feel better eatting this way so to them! |

People that eat all that junk have an eating disorder. Sometimes it's easier to just keep your mouth closed - it's not worth a response. You could respond "yes I think we do have an eating disorder" but I don't know what to do about it..... tee hee.

Only after rejecting what 'other people' thought was normal eating
behavior did I find a solution to my Compulsive Overeating. Don't listen to the donkeys and the skeptics. Just follow a program you believe works, based on empirical evidence and the success of others and "don't give a inch!" |

Ned: I agree with you "don't give an inch" - follow your own heart.
