Whata praise report I have....

Hello,
My name is Amy and I have been on these boards for awhile now, just not here, well, I am a christian woman who went to a prayer meeting last night and let me tell you what happened to me.

I have been struggling with my weight pretty much alllll my life, I had our 3rd and final baby 16 months ago and have been feeling so low about myself. I am 5ft 5.5 in and weigh 215 lbs as of yesterday morning and my daughter is 9 yrs old and weighs 134 lbs, anyways I went to prayer and had an incredible breakthrough in my life...I was delivered from an eating disorder that I have (NO HAD) and have also passed onto my daughter, he point blank let me know that he will guide me through this process with my daughter and I both..and Praise the Lord, I woke up this morning and have lost a little over 3 lbs from eating nothing but terrible things yesterday. I have not been dieting for the last week and a 1/2, as a matter of fact I helped to polish off a whole 2 lbs bag of cookies, I ate the majority of them myself (how embarrassing, they were gone the day after buying them). I have not been able to get back on the bandwagon to lose this weight.

To a non-believer this would be meaningless, but to me it is EVERYTHING!!
I have also seen changes in my physical body, my collar bone is showing just in 3 lbs, my stomach has went down a tiny tiny bit, and my bra fits better underneath...I joked and told my hubby that if he didnt' see a change I didn't want to know because God is working in (in my mind) me and changing the way I feel about not only myself, but my daughter's weight as well.

I have been a faithful servant to him and have reallllly started to read and pray more lately and feel that he has rewarded me for my obedience and I just had to share my excitement..like I said, in the carnal world 3 lbs is 3 lbs and someone would say...you can't tell on 3 lbs, but I can tell with the Lords help, but to me 3 lbs may as well be 50.

Thanks for listening and letting me give God the glory!!!!

God Bless,
Amy

Amy,

Congratulations on your loss and being freed from an eating disorder.
Your faith can be a big part of your weighloss success but God also gives us the willpower and strength to eat healthy and in moderation or the freewill to eat junk and too much.
All the best on your journey !

While it is great to have
a spiritual program, don't
bet the ranch that your God
will let you continue to eat
anything you want and LOSE
weight. Realistically, you are
gonna have to go Low Carb
(highly recommended) or cut
your calories to about 1200 a
day in order to lose all your weight.

A lot of Christian people hang out in
Overeaters Anonymous and I would
recommend that you give em a try...
See http://www.oa.org for a meeting
near you. You would be among spiritually
oriented people, and they all have a
common problem with you too.

It might just be a further blessing!

Check it out! http://www.oa.org
