My family needs your prayers.

I have not been to this site for a long time. I had been coming everyday last fall. I am married, 47 years old and have 3 wonderful kids. I was doing great with the low carb program and had lost 35 lbs. (My dear dad was soooo proud of his daughter!) (That is also the first time I really knew he was proud of me too. He was a good father but never one to give out hugs or say he loved you, even though you knew he did.) Then on November 7th, 05 my dad died suddenly from a heart attach while on his way to coffee. Since then, my weight has been creeping back on. (it's my fault, I am eating crap again!) I don't know why, I know my dad is looking down on me and telling me to stop doing this to myself.
Then in Feb. my mom found out she has/had uterus cancer. She had surgery and they say they got it all. She is now going through radiation and is doing as well as expected. (going through that and losing her husband).
I really need to get back to low carbing before I gain it all back. I am still down 20 but I know that won't last long.
My life has gone through alot of stress in the last 5 months and i know I need to do something before I gain it all back.
So any prayers or words of encouragement would be great about right now.
Thanks! ott2bquiltin

I will include you in my prayers. Also , remember that the last thing your dear father probably wants is for you to be unhealthy. CAn you think of your healthy Way of Eating as a tribute to your dad?

I'm so sorry for what your going through, I went through something simular, I was doing great low carbing back in 2004 was down to 130 pounds, then my mom was diagnosed with cancer (leukemia) and of all days died on sep. 11, it was the most tragic day of my life , the last thing I wanted to think about was my diet, I was so depressed and gained all my weight back. This year in January I started low carbing again, I have to be healthy for my kids and I'm sure my mom would also want me to be healthy I know she would want me to take care of myself, so in her honor I'm back on track. I'm sure your dad would want you to be healthy also and still proud of you where ever he is . Sending you lots of hugs

Life if not measured by the number of breaths we take
but by the moments that take our breath way
.

I miss you mom. I will forever be greatful for all the wonderful memories you gave me .

Hi there. I've been where you are. I lost 80# and went through stress and gained it all back and was even more disappointed with myself than ever.
You know what you need to do to get back on track. It is not easy and it takes a lot of planning to be sure you have what you need for food. However, I'm back on track and still in the middle of a mess. I have to do it for me.

You do it for you. Your dad was proud of the progress you had made. Keep making him proud. He'll tell you about it someday.

You have my prayers.
