Shoe fetish with weight loss?

I don't know about anyone else but before I started losing weight I owned a pair of sneakers and a pair of black shoes for dressing up. Now I am always looking for cute new shoes. I went to Goodwill over the weekend and bought 3 pairs of shoes. I went from 2 pairs to over a dozen pair now (mostly with some sort of a heel).

Anyone else find a shoe fetish when they started losing???

I think for me it was opposite. Shoes were the only thing I could buy with my friends without being completely embarrassed. I didn't have to go into a plus sized store for them.

Oh yes! Cute shoes with heels are my new thing. I want to look as polished and put together as possible in my new smaller clothes.

Yes, I love shoes now! Before I had a pair of sneakers, one pair of low heeled pumps and a bunch of flip flops. Now I got heels and cute sandles. Plus a really good pair of sneakers because I actually workout with them.

I am sad to say my nickname is Imelda Marcos. I have soooo many shoes. My pride and joy are a pair of red patent leather Prada flats with a beautiful woven corset effect over the toes. A little toe cleavage is a dangerous thing. Saks outlet, about $50 by using a coupon.

Prada shoes for $50? That is unbelievable. Do they have Donald J. Pliner at that price?? I have at least 50 pairs of shoes and boots. I love pointy-toed slingback pumps with stiletto boots a close second.

I have never seen Pliners at Off Fifth. Yes, these Pradas were last years ("don't estamp jur leetle last season Pradas at ME , Missy" )and marked at $99, with a sticker indicating 40% off , plus another "20% off one Item" coupon. Sometimes, I put them on and just smile at my feet. And they are comfy too!
I have found Steigers, Loubuotins, tons of Cole Haan, Mizrahis, etc. But I am not a high heel girl, so those "big Girl Shoes" stay in the store.

Reading this was funny...I had a major melt down because of shoes a few weeks ago! I wear a women's size 12/13 depending on how it's made. I can normally find this size only in Payless.com. I waited to long to order online for easter so I went to stores looking for a pair. I was so depressed by the end of the day...couldn't find anything. The sales clerk in one of the stores I went to suggested I look online at websites for DRAG QUEENS. I laughed it off and thanked her for the suggestion....cried all the way to a chinese restaurant and drown my feelings and my feet in enough chinese food for 5 people! I wore a pair of black shoes that I already had on Easter with my dress and it looked fine. I had my toe nails painted the same hot pink color as the dress. I am hoping that my shoe size will go down as the rest of me gets smaller. Has this happened for anyone? I have heard of people who loose a large amount of weight having to buy smaller shoes.

My foot is somewhat skinnier and I'm wearing almost a AA width now, but I haven't gone down a size. You need to go to zappos.com. I went there selected women's shoes, subcategory "Dress," and found 302 pairs of dress shoes in size 13. They're not as cheap as payless, but their shoes are discounted, sometimes heavily. Returns are very easy. I buy a lot of shoes there because it is so convenient and I have an odd size of 9-1/2 which I can't find in a lot of stores. You can also search by size and color and heel type. So if you want a brown sandal with medium heel in a size 12, you can select it then bingo - all the shoes which match your criteria.

The clerk who tried to send you to the drag queen store is an azz. Don't feel bad about your shoe size!
