Prayer's for Beaumont, Texas

Not sure if you have ever heard of Beaumont or not...last September, Hurricane Rita devastated this part of Texas. Beaumont is the biggest town that was hit, and still a lot of repairs are going on...Anyway, Bmt has 3 high schools and Wednesday, one of the high school's girls soccer team were on a charter bus headed to Houston for the beginning of the state playoffs. It ws raining and the bus wrecked. Two of the girls were killed and many were injured. It amazed me that this story wasn't picked up by the national news. All of these families need prayers desperately. I don't think I can post links here, but you can read about it at southeasttexaslive . com. I think of all the times my girls have boarded buses to softball games and the like. As a matter of fact, my youngest daughter went on a bus trip with her 8th grade class to Shreveport the same day that this wreck occurred.

Saw this on the news here this morning....... What a tragedy for any HS... but in a community that is still reeling from the hurricanes it hits even harder...

Not only the familes, but please keep these kids in prayer.... We helped our DD and her friends go through the loss of a friend in HS.... they needed a place to hang out where they could talk about her and share stories...

My dad is on a mission rip in Beaumont this week. He works with the Baptist Men. He called me last night and told me about it. What a tragedy.
