Lent: What are you giving up?

Hi,
Lent starts tomorrow for Catholics. I was wondering what others were giving up. I'm giving up Soda. I may try to kill everyone I know soon. Just so you know. And, I've had about fifty pops today. I'm trying to get sick of them. It helps for the first few days.

(Just 40 more days until I can have another pop!)

Kim

I had not really thought about it .
Even thought I've stopped alot of bad eating habits
I guess I should be thinking of this.

I'm giving up pop, specifically Diet Coke/Coke Zero/Diet Cherry Coke. I am really hoping that cutting out the aspartame will also cut out some brain fog.

I'm not Catholic but, in support of my friends and co-workers who are, I will be giving up SF chocolate. May not sound hard but since TOM has been hanging around I've been scoffing that stuff down like nobodys business!

I LOVE cheese!

I think i'm going to give up cheese. I KNOW that I go over on portion sizes. Hopefully it will speed up my loss!!!

Oh I think that's a wonderful idea and very clever too.

Methodists observe Lent also and I have decided to give up Atkins bars. They just sit in my cabinet and call my name. I love the peanut butter chocolate ones.

I'm a practicing Catholic and I have decided to RECOMMIT today. I am giving up carbs and getting back on track. I'm tired of feeling so icky - headaches, bloating, water retention, etc. I am also going to try to drink a lot of water every day - floss my teeth after dinner instead of the morning, stay off sf sunkist at night. That will be hard.

Although I am not Catholic I will give up any and all sugar free treats such as candy, bars, ice cream. Although I rarely eat or drink any of these items there are times when they creep into my eating.

I'm not Catholic but am giving up pop. Not that I drink a lot of it but I like it with restaurant meals. All the more water, I guess!

Well, I'm not really giving up something, but I am concentrating more on daily scripture reading, prayers, attending mass during the week instead of only on Sunday, and I'm doing the stations of the cross every Friday. Now I just need to do these same things even when it's not Lent!!
Peace,
Okira
