Many people look at glossy tabloids and fashion mags and get depressed that they dont look so ideal.
Some people do know that photoshop and great filters are half the magic of models and actors looking so great.
I used to model so Im well aware of the tricks used.

Here's a fab site by a company that actually does photo editing professionally.

Yes they're for real.
I don't think the site is geared for the average viewer to be gawking at.
Theyll probably password protect it from prying eyes when they realise.
Their clients are top notch and if I were one of them I wouldnt want the (semi) secrets revealed.
I couldnt believe how much smaller they made Jessica Biels thigh/butt in one pic. Argh.

The pictures are absolutely amazing. I knew they did air brushing... but wow! In one of the pictures, there are two models sitting back to back (third page, first picture), in the before... the girl on the left has STRETCH MARKS. Not to mention she's not nearly as tight as the picture leads on. Girl on the right has heavy forehead wrinkles!

Don't get me wrong, these people are still gorgeous to begin with. But it's nice to see that they're human too.

WOW! Just goes to show that what you see isn't always what you get! I thought it was really interesting how they made Nicole Richie look thinner in that pic of her and Paris on the couch! Now whenever I see a great celeb shot, I'm going to wonder...what did this photo look like before the airbrush artists got a hold of it? Also makes me realize that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder and if the artist retouching your photo doesn't like how you look, then voila! no more wrinkles! Kind of scary really....if we have a messed up perception of these people based on phoney photos, what is their self perception like???

Had to do a search to find this thread again! I wanted to say Thank You Sleek for posting this! Do you know who this was awesome for? My 13 year old daughter. Told her "You know how people/stars look so perfect in magazines? Well, look at this..." We were both amazed what they do. People who are perfectly lovely to begin with are made thinner and have no pores or lines or lumps! Made her feel much better about herself (and me too) because even the 'beautiful people' have flaws.
You did a great thing for a "still forming" self esteem here, thank you.
