a ME weekend

Well since I normally travel every weekend I decided this weekend since it was a free weekend to do my own little ME weekend. First I slept in saturday which was kinda easy since it was storming rain outside.

Around 9:00 I got up and did my new bigest loser video.

Then at 10:30 I headed to the gym NOT for weights this time but I hit the dry sauna first then did 4 laps in the pool with a kick board then back in the dry sauna and then into the hot tub. From there I went for a bit in the steam room that they do the steam with euculpis (smell great and will really open your sinsus. A nice long shower and then I headed back home.

a bit later I headed to the theater and saw 8 below (I am a big dog person) and after a good cry (it was a good ending but still made me cry) ..

I went shopping at target and decided to stop in at the nail place beside it and treated myself to a manicure and got my eyebrows waxed. then home for a good nights sleep.

Sunday morning I took 2 of my dogs herding and then came home changed and was off to the gym again this time for my "fitness evaluation" I didn't stay to workout as sunday is usually my day off. I left the gym and headed to the mall and had the lady do my face with the Bare essentials, and I bought the starter kit.

I am back home now and although I have some real life work to do about 30 minutes worth it has been a GREAT fun and relaxing weekend. I need more weekends like this.

What do you do for a ME weekend?

I have three boys age 11 and under so there are no ME weekends but yours sounds like paradise to me. Shopping and a manicure would be a perfect treat right now.

I'm flying to FL for one day next Friday, does that count as self indulgent enough?

Actually, last w/e I got my first manicure in over a year and got my BE starter kit too. Had fun playing with it while I was dodging the flying puppy attacks. (He turned 6 mo yesterday, dang hyper retirevers! )

what type of retriever? golden or lab?

Mine are Border collies so I do understand the "hyper" side of dogs!

FL for 1 day absolutely a self indulgent behavior!

What's absolutely insane is that as I was reading your post, I visualized a specific Target with a nail shop near by. This is BEFORE I looked to see where you were located. And I visualized the Target on I-45 and Cypresswood in Spring/Houston. Then I looked to see where you were. And then I saw you were in Tomball! Is that, by any chance, where you went? If so, FREAKY.

Chessie actually. He's probably 60 lbs and wayyy to smart for his own good!

Yep, you got some hyper ones there. At least I have hope that Gander'll settle into the old lazy retriever phase in a few years I love him to death, but there are days.... 60 lbs of puppy flying right for your knees is not a good thing!

How ironic. But no it was the Target here in tomball on 2920 and 249. I actually don't venture past 249 to the east very often unless I am heading to dallas.

But it is such a small world!!!

as much as I really don't like veggies I have grown to enjoy my salads and of course cheese. I would have a hard time doing a M/E day let alone a whole weekend!!

We've got plenty of bumpers and tennis balls and rocks and sticks and... I can't wait until it gets warm enough to take him swimming. Water retrievals!

I was laughing the other day, if I make my ultimate goal (130) and he gets as big as I think he will (120ish). The dang dog is going to come close to outweighing me! He's already figured out if he lays on me that I can't get up I'm in trouble!

lol- the whole time i'm reading your post i was thinking you meant that you were doing an M&E weekend... meat & eggs... and i was like, "when is she going to get to the food part and how much she lost??"... duh.

sounds like a nice weekend for you!

A me weekend for me ususally consists of a mani/pedi, a little shopping, lounging on the couch with DH, church on sunday always, taking the dog to the park, etc.... in other words- no laundry, no house projects, no having to visit anyone, not having to do any work.

i need a me weekend soon!
