breakup

my sweetie and I parted ways today and I haven't been able to eat a thing all day -- not even hungry..... guess it's good all things considered... the old me would have downed a pack of oreos and invited Ben & Jerry over for some quality time together. I am really just beside myself and feeling like I am falling apart at the seams

You need to be beautiful for yourself. Hold onto that wedding dress and nighties, you deserve to be happy, and if you love yourself, you will find happiness again. Good Luck and God Bless!!

You've got your motivation. Show him what a sexy person he is going to miss out on. Just do it.

Hugs sweetie!!! I know it's hard to see the light right now, but I promise, when the dust settles and you're down the road, you'll see the why of it all. This exact thing happened to me, and it was incredibly difficult. However, breaking up eventually led me to the great love of my life, now husband. It's only after meeting him that I saw how my other relationship was not right.

I know that doesn't help the pain right now though. Take the time to mourn and feel sad. Cry, watch sad movies, call a friend, go to the gym and beat the snot out of the punching bag and stay on plan. Food is only a momentary comfort, and it has a nasty way of making you feel a lot worse in the long run.

Hang in there!

hugs...

I know your pain.I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years a short time ago.If you don't already have a journal on here you should start one.It has helped me with a lot of my anger and sadness.
Your new motivation can be to continue exercising to help you relieve the stress of the breakup..And to get your body in perfect shape 4 bikini season.

I know how hard this is. A lot of people are able to hit the gym at breakup times but I've never been able to do that. When I'm down I'm zapped for energy and just wanna sleep and cry all day

I went through a horrible breakup last June and gained about 7 lbs. that I was so proud of losing. They came back off many, many, MANY hard months later but it was sooo hard.

I am so sorry you are going throught this but you will prevail and be stronger for it. You should be so proud that you aren't wallowing in trats to medicate the pain. You are a strong beautiful woman, and you only need to prove it to yourself. You are whats important and you will succeed!

WOE: Low Carb, my way!
I went through a break up about two weeks ago with someone I was with for almost two years and I have already had moments of clarity! It does get better, but I too moped around and didn't eat for several days, so like a previous poster said, let it out!! Cry, scream, sulk, write it out online or in a journal at home, talk to friends...... it'll be better soon!

we are back

news flash - we are back together. I am leary though -- don't think that it is gonna come back to him so quickly. I have read the book - "why men love bi*****" and I know how not to seem like such a pushover trying too hard to please him. He needs to work hard to please me now and know that I am a true gem. I need the sparkle back. I was able to get myself to a very good place mentally. BUT....... did have a true binge prior to getting there.

gel0507 -- that'a great book

I read the Rules too but I think this one's more relateable to me.

As I get older I'm less and less willing to compromise with men and look out for myself more. I've always wondered why guys I date now seem so much more hooked than any I dated when I was younger -- turns out they really DO like b***** And I'm one naturally!!
