valentines day
Hi all...I lost my mom last year on Valentine's Day. Actually, it probably happened a day or two before that but we are not sure. She didn't show up for work that day which wasn't like her and we had just had some pretty bad weather I drove to her house (about 20 min. away) well the police were there already. Her landlord had unlocked the door and found her. I was doing pretty good for awhile. I work and go to school full time so I like to stay busy but right now as the date comes closer I am thinking more and more about it. It was so sudden and unexpected I still pretend some days it didn't happen. I guess I don't know how I'm going to get through that day. If anyone else is expected a crappy valentines day I will probably be around here if they want to chat lol......I plan to skip class and work

Lizzy - I'd encourage you to rethink the taking the day off. Be around people and live in today.
I'm so sorry you lost your mother. My father passed away on Thanksgiving a few years back. It makes the holiday each year since different. I understand where you're coming from. Take good care of yourself during this time. Peace be with you. |
