Please say a prayer for my daughter

She was born deaf in her left hear due to nerve damage. We went to speacialist and therapy but found that it really did not phase her. She is very intelligent and vocal. She has no discrepincies in her voice, she just cant heat in the left ear. Well a few days ago she was walking around the house playing and cleaning, and I noticed she was very frusterated. I was watching her and she was making noises and trying to sing or say words and that caught my attention. I asked her what was wrong (SHE IS 4) and she said mommy my ears are turning off. She said it feels like i need to scream to hear myself. I for the first time had to explain to her that she is deaf in her ear and that when she was born her left ear never "turned on" she then said she knew it didnt work, but the other one was starting not to work...

We went to her DR and tested her ears and sure enough she has lost some hearing in her "good" ear. We are now waiting for her ear specialst appt. and then go from there. We are looking into hearing aids now because she starts school next fall. She seems to be excited about the hearing aid, but I want her to have plenty of time to get used to it so she is not self conscious about it while starting school.
She is such a joy and I love her so much. I am just hoping for the best for her.

You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. That must be a very scary thing to go through. Have faith that things will work out the way they were intended to be.

Oh, my heart just goes out to you and your sweet daughter. I am glad that she was able to communicate this to you so well now so that you can get the help she needs to turn her ear back on again. What a sweetheart she must be. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to thank you all for your prayer and kind words. We go to the specialist in the morning at 9:30 and I will try to let you all know the outcome of things.

I just wanted to report that is was a semi false alarm on her ears.
After going to an audiologist and the ENT we have deteirming that the loss in her ears have not worsend. That at the time of the simple test the pediatric. office had given her she just hade fluids in her middle ear. While she still is deaf in her leaft ear, she is not getting any worse. Also they said there is no need for a hearing aid, becasue her bad ear will not hear anything due to nerve damage. So it would be pointless. Soooo Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
